Eh, the toy looks decent enough. Looks like a good paint wash would do better to bring out the details though.

As corny as those segments may be, the segment in Cornette's office involving the Steiners acting all pissed off several months ago had me laughing pretty hard. Rick Steiner had kicked the door off the hinges, then Scott ran into Cornette's office, grabbed him by the throat and yelled, "WE WANT TEAM 3-D IN THE RING NEXT WEEK!!!!!". Cornette calmly responded with "Team 3-D against the Steiners? 2 of the biggest teams in history, fighting on Impact next week? YOU GOT IT!". Scott then got this shocked look on his face, let go of Cornette and said "Uh....ok......thanks". Then Rick Steiner picked-up Cornette's door off the floor, said "Sorry about that", and they left. Great segment.

I caught a little of Impact last night. I normally just try to watch anything Styles and Tomko are involved in, but all I managed to see was the Knockouts match. Having not seen a whole lot of her, can someone explain ODB's character to me? Drunken Female Lumberjack? Redneck Tranny? The constant playing with her own fake giant tits and digging in her crotch got old really quick. She seems to be pretty over with the crowd though. Kong is pretty badass.

Guy goes out of his way to type the Observer notes for us to read, and for no charge at that. He can throw in all the personal commentary he wants. Stephanie soliciting everyone's phone records is great. Paranoia is a cruel mistress. I think a WWE-owned UFC could lead to some interesting things.

WWE General Discussion - February 2008

Agreed. The promos he cut in Montreal and then the one the night after Summerslam were incredible. The thing I enjoyed most about those promos is that he wasn't crass or vulgar, but came off as the biggest dick in the world. HBK is a natural heel. -

They were both acting like babies. HBK's selling in the match is the stuff of legend though. I love how he sold the big boot by falling down, running across the ring, and flipping. HBK's promo the next night ranting about Hogan's "blinding speed and mat prowess" was pretty good too. Humor or not, they were both incredibly immature about the situation. -
Still looks hot as all hell.

I miss the Nitro Girls. Anyone know whatever happened to Spice?

I see she's wearing the "Paris Hilton Miracle Push-up Bra".

Very Nice! About 2 years since he wore that outfit, but I'm all over that when it gets released! -

I like "Lightning Crashes", but yea it does get overplayed. The rock stations around here blow-up the radio with "Selling the Drama" more than "Lightning Crashes", though. Now, "Overcome", as cheesy as it may be, is a classic IMO. I marked out something fierce when it was used to close-off the 2nd season of The Shield.

I haven't been there in a while, but Vimm.net is a good resource. Limits you to 5 d/l's a day though.

I'm glad to see HHH's first IC title win against Marc Mero is on the DVD. My favorite part of the match is Mr. Perfect giving Marc Mero one of the hardest chairshots I've ever seen so HHH could get the win. I thought they would include HHH vs Undertaker from Wrestlemania X-Seven, but it's already included on a couple different Undertaker DVD releases, so no harm there. Looks like an overall good selection of matches.

That's true "Tick Tock, bring on that rock" Man, Venus is just way too much. Please tell me she didn't actually say that and you're just screwing around?! So, I assume Venus is finally gone from the competition? I just couldn't get past her Über-positivity from the first episode. Most of the contenders always have something good to say prior to, or after an event, but she was all about cramming the positivity down your throat.

The OaO Raw Is Taped thread - 11/2/2008

I really enjoyed the main event. Great wrestling from both guys. One thing I would've liked to see after Hardy pinned HBK, is for him to hold his leg in agony after the finish. You know, like he pushed the pain aside just long enough to scramble up the turnbuckles, hit the Swanton and get the win? Then sell the leg from being in HBK's inverted Figure Four of Death. Little nitpicky things aside though, it was a really good main event. I especially liked Hardy's Double Knee Inverted Atomic Drop. That was certainly different. WWE was able to swerve everyone with Cena's return at the Rumble, so I hope they swerve everyone again and give Jeff Hardy the win in the Chamber. Eh, who am I kidding? HHH FTW! -
I had seen it posted for about 3 weeks now that the Barbed Wire Massacre was going to be pre-recorded. At first the SC Athletic Commission OK'ed it, but pussied-out at the last minute, and TNA simply taped the match at one of their more recent Impact tapings. I figured TNA would want Mesias to look strong going into this match, but since they jobbed him out to Christian recently, it just looked like another pointless loss on his record. I understand they had to give Christian a good, strong win going into his World Title match at the PPV, but they could've easily found him someone else to get a win over.

Freddy Got Fingered is indeed a guilty pleasure of mine. No redeeming qualities whatsoever, but its hard to not laugh at it. I picked-up Tom Green's "Subyway Monkey Hour" on DVD at Moviestop several months ago for $1.99. Damn good show.

Yet suing your own fanbase for getting you more fans is 100% truth. Yet having your producer be your bassist during the recording of your last album, heralding it as a success, and then releasing it to unanimously bad reviews is the truth. Yet a band that was once at the forefront of the thrash metal movement headlining a festival that was originally intended for hippies is the truth. When it comes to Metallica, NOTHING sounds made up. Made up or not, I find it funny that WWE was able to use St. Anger for the Vengeance (or was it Bad Blood? I forget....) 2003 PPV, but couldn't get the rights to Enter Sandman. Neither, it was SummerSlam 2003. Touche Seems like just about any Saliva song gets overplayed. Remember "Click Click Boom" in 2001 for No Mercy? Even before that, it was used in the "American Outlaws" movie trailer I think. Although, WWE was actually ahead of the curve with "Ladies and Gentlemen" last year as that didn't really become overplayed until the fall or so. I rather enjoyed the song the first few times I heard it. I liked the "carnival barker" thing it had going through the verses. Now its been used for everything from Wrestlemania to PS3 systems, to just about any sporting event you can think of. One has to wonder how much $$$ Saliva has raked-in from this song. -
My memory may be a little fuzzy but in Final Wars, Godzilla disposes of Zilla with nothing more than a backhand followed by flame breath. You can tell the Japanese REALLY hate the Americanized Godzilla. The American Godzilla movie of the late 90's has it's moments, but overall I'm not a fan. Godzilla being able to reproduce asexually and hatching about 1000 baby Godzillas in MSG? Come on.

I watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding for the first time last night, and yea, by the end of the movie, Nia Vardolos was extremely easy on the eyes compared to her appearance early in the movie.

Wrestling Observer Notes are back like Jordan wearing the 45

WrestleMania 20 says hello. Wrestlemania 2000 says hello as well. I enjoyed the Hell out of HHH vs Rock vs Foley vs Big Show. Save for the bullshit swerve finish, the match was decent enough. Everyone teeing-off with their finishers on Big Show, HHH pinning Foley after a couple Pedigrees, then HHH and Rock bringing their usual good ring chemistry was enjoyable enough. -

Thanks for posting these. I've missed the occasional posting of the Observer notes. I wouldn't mind Nathan Jones returning, as long as he's strictly someone's muscle, and never EVER allowed to work a full match. The guy has a psychotic monster look, but can't wrestle worth a crap.
