Someone let me in on what I missed last week. I was out of town for some job training, and I guess I missed the drama.
-
I have heard something similar. I'm sure it wouldn't stop them from trying though.
-
Uh....yeah it did. Yea, Orton punted Batista to send him off to get his injury (hamstring?) worked on. Gotta say, Batista recovered from that one at almost Cena speed. Edit: Dammit, Chris Hansen beat me to it. I wouldn't worry about that. He supposedly mentioned in an interview a couple weeks ago that he only has one year left in him, and wants to go out on top. I don't have a link unfortunately, but you can find it in the Rajah archives.

Big Dave is back! Don't run too fast Dave, you'll tear something again.
-
Thanks. Looks like Shane was a little slow on that run-in.

I didn't catch this show until 9:30. When is the WWE title-stipulated tag match? Backlash I assume?
-
Beth always amazes me with her strength. That was an impressive lift she did on Santino, when it appeared like he may try a reverse DDT.
-
Santina (o) is the fucking (wo)man! The dancing is pretty fucked up.
-
Mark for the Billy and Chuck music here. Cheesy as hell boyband sounding stuff. Awesome.
-
FUCKING BILLY AND CHUCK THEME! YES YES YES!
-
Hah, I remember TNA doing a similar stipulation involving AJ Styles a couple months ago.
-
Yea we all do. Just saying he could have a fun nostalgia run ala Hogan in 2002. Sure, it would probably eventually get old, but it would be nice for a short time. Yea, that was a topic of discussion at my buddy's house last night.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Anyone else happen to catch Scott Armstrong yelling at Triple H (after pulling him off Orton) that they had one minute left? Soon as Orton got back to his feet, the ref again yelled "Hurry up, let's go home", then it was kick-WHAM-Pedigree for the win. HBK vs Undertaker was just as epic as anyone could have hoped. MitB was a lot of fun, as usual. Steamboat is the fucking MAN! Is it just me, or was he using Ultimo Dragon's WWE theme? Austin's sendoff was great, and a nice trip down nostalgia lane. -
Steamboat should REALLY consider making more in-ring appearances. The man is fucking amazing considering how long hes been away from the ring. Plus, just like they did in the 80's, the crowds both last night and tonight love him. I don't want him to get hurt, but damn, Ricky still has it!

Sign me up for Eddie Guerrero vs JBL - Eddie nearly bled to death in the ring making this slug look like a million bucks. Agreed, one of the few times I was worried I was seriously worried about a wrestler's health during a match. Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker - 'nuff said. Undertaker did about a 7 or 8 on the MUTA scale here.

It's time to lol wut at WWE Kids magazine!
haws bah gawd replied to Dr. Death Randy Savage's topic in The WWE Folder
Wow.....the IC and Tag Titles had featured nameplates for quite some time. Also, the Undisputed Title, which was introduced in April of 2002 (about 4-5 months prior to the World Title) featured a nameplate. I believe the current issue of the "adult's" WWE Magazine mentions something about Triple H beating Randy Orton for the WWE title at last year's No Way Out. -
I've tried it a few times. It's good to me, but I really, REALLY miss Berries and Cream Dr. Pepper. Pepsi Blue was amazing. That is all.

Hah, yes! Hmmmm, you can't get AIDS from someone of the opposite sex? News to me! HOWEVER, has there ever been a confirmed case of a man getting the AIDS from sex with a horse? He/She may be onto something there!

Weekend Box Office Report March 27-29
haws bah gawd replied to YourKock'sReallyGreat's topic in Television & Film
to me he'll always be the guy that kinda looks like Chris Keller To me he will also be Casey Jones. Though, I find it hard to get the image out of my head, of that ackward makeout scene he had with James Spader in Crash. For those concerned about the box office for 12 Rounds, I wouldn't worry too much about it. A friend of mine who used to be a manager at a Movie Gallery said he always had a hard time keeping WWE films in stock once they hit DVD, with See No Evil being by far the most-rented out of the ones available when he left. -
Yea, I remember that girl. I believe she got her own Pepsi Superbowl commercial explaining the situation.

The "We Watch Shitty Old WCW Shows" Club
haws bah gawd replied to Jingus's topic in General Wrestling
Damn Jingus, you weren't kidding about these videos taking forever to load. I've gotten about 6 minutes streamed so far, and I've been sitting here for a little over an hour. Reminds me of being on dialup. Sitting through that opening video was a chore. I think this was during the time I said fuck it in regards to WCW. I really have no recollection of Luger breaking people's arms. -
WWE General Discussion - March 2009
haws bah gawd replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
No, of course not. Just saying it would seem like typical WWE to have this guy do this gimmick in their training fed, and get comfortable with it, getting down all the little mannerisms and such. Then, when they call him up to the main roster, completely change everything, and basically have him start from scratch. I believe they did this with Santino. -
WWE General Discussion - March 2009
haws bah gawd replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
If that's the case, he'd be one to watch. You can teach ring-work, but if he's got the charisma... he's got the most important thing already. Knowing WWE though, this is what will happen with the guy. They'll get ready to call him up, then inform him that he is getting a completely different ring name, and gimmick (possibly a Silent Black Ninja), and will debut on ECW. -
Damn, I forgot about Kazaa. I feel old. Kazaa Lite was fun until they stopped updating it. I remember a story from a couple years ago where a single Mom was contacted by RIAA. She foolishly tried to fight them in court. The Judge ruled in favor of RIAA (obviously), and awarded them $270,000 in damages, which I doubt the woman will ever be able to pay. Unfortunately, I have no clue where to find the news article.
-
Anyone here know someone that's been sued by RIAA?
