I got this from the DVD Boards: Looks like some low budget company is already working on a ripoff of Cloverfield Want proof of how much of a rush job this is? Look at the film's release date at the end of the trailer.

The funny thing about Jake Roberts is I see him living at least another 15-20 years. It always seems that it's those that destroy their bodies the most with drugs and alcohol that live extraordinarily-long lives. Jake is the man.

Anyone play Ratchet and Clank Future on PS3? Great graphics and game-play all around. The SIXAXIS functionality is spot-on. I've noticed some clipping issues, but they are VERY minor.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-hw-dgxlrjY I don't want this to turn into another GNR thread, though. They never lead to anything good. So nobody except Haws bah gawd should comment on this post or reply to it. Damn you are awesome. I'll have to rip that off Youtube later.

How did you find out that wrestling was not "real"?
haws bah gawd replied to majormayhem1's topic in General Wrestling
We all know its staged, planned, and the occasional real-life backstage feud, but it doesn't make it any less entertaining. I agree how funny it is that people are so fast to jump on the fake bandwagon. When I started my current job in May of this year, I was going around chatting and getting to know some of my new co-workers. When they would ask what my favorite TV show, or sport was, I would always bring up how much I enjoy pro wrestling. So, what's the first thing out of each and everyone their mouths: "You know that stuff's fake right?" -

Damn, I forgot about the "Spirit of the X-Division" thing. Remember when Joe was getting his monster heel push, and roughed-up Christopher Daniels, leading to AJ going off about how Joe was "breaking the X-Division's code of honor"? Ugh........ -
True.

"Here Jill, you take this lockpick. Because you're the master of unlocking." Still a classic though.

Same here. If I can get the PS3 version for $37, I'll take it.

Not trying to stray too far from the topic here, but here's something I've wondered for a while. Does Helena Bonham Carter have to audition for Tim Burton's films, or does he just find some place to stick her in, since she's his wife and all?
-
Sign me up for that one too!

Henry seems like a truly nice person, but I've just never been able to get into his ring work. He's so bulky, he can't do much other than clubbing forearms and his slam finisher.

WWE General Discussion - December 2007
haws bah gawd replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I too call Batista winning the Rumble. The guy has been involved in so many world title matches over the past nearly 3 years, I find it hard to fathom him working a pay-per-view, and not either defending, or going after the World Title. That Orton pic is gold though. Owned indeed. -
Did you read my post smart ass? I said I enjoyed their previous work, but this wasn't good at all.

It pleases me to no end that Fred Claus has finally plummeted from the Top 10. I'm really not too surprised about the money taken-in by Dewey Cox.

In regards to AJ, is he voluntarily doing all these jobs? For fucks sake, the guy was TNA WORLD CHAMPION about 3 or 4 times, and he hasn't won a match in ages. Did he get on Russo's bad side? First I thought maybe they're using his star power to put over some of the other wrestlers since it was TNA that took him from nobody indy wrestler to multi-time World Champion, but you can only job the guy so much until the rub of beating him no-longer does any good. He's almost becoming TNA's own version of Val Venis, meaning he's a former multi-champion (I'm well aware Val Venis was never a world champion in WWF/E), and remains over with the crowds, but rarely wins. -
I'll give the new Metallica a listen, as long as Rick Rubin was far FAR away during the production. I can't take another St. Anger. About time Disturbed came out with a new album. They really haven't done a bad album yet. Aerosmith, Motley Crue, and especially Def Leppard should be fun. I see Green Day is sticking to their political-rock gimmick and waiting until the election year to release their new album. Either Chinese Democracy will never see the light of day, or it comes out to negative reviews after not being able to live up to the hype, and Axl kills himself. I just want a studio track of that ballad-esque song they performed at the VMA's back in 2002. I think Nickelback has a new album due out as well. They've always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

Best Albums I've Bought This Year: Dark Passion Play - Nightwish - At first I was skeptical, but after seeing them live in Atlanta last month, they've made a wise decision with their new vocalist, Annette. She isn't this full-blown opera singer like Tarja, but she has tons more energy, and better stage presence. The Tarja f Ghost Opera - Kamelot - Kamelot is fronted by one of the best pure singers in metal. Their sound might not have changed much over the years, but why fix it if it isn't broken? The Divine Conspiracy - Epica - I'll probably get a lot of flack for this, but I really enjoyed it. Simone has a good voice, and it's perfectly complemented by Mark Jansen's backing grunts. Plus the album art is easy on the eyes: Worst Album I've Bought This Year: Minutes to Midnight - Linkin Park - I probably should've known better since this album was produced by the same guy who told Lars to bang on trash cans for the St. Anger album. Still though, I've enjoyed their work in the past, and then-current single What I've Done, and figured I would give them a chance. What a turd this turned out to be. The first few songs weren't all that bad, then my ears were raped by the joke known as Bleed it Out. Then it only got worse with Shadow of the Day, and whatever that crap was where Mike Shinoda tried SINGING. Dear Linkin Park, Can I have my $14 back please? Thanks

Yeah, that was ODB. She was part of OVW for a while, until TNA signed her. The more I watch her, the more I'm surprised WWE didn't offer her a developmental deal. Now I never say things like this but ODB is creepy lookin....one of my female friends likes wrestling and insists that's a man with tits. I could've done without that goofy dance she did on top of the toy box. Lame. -
As Exslade ZX said, that's one thing about Kennedy that I always have and always will defend. He always tries to fight out of a move, or block something, or try to sidestep something else. He might work very stiff, and sloppy, but he can make things look more real. A match he had with Lashley comes to mind. Lashley was using the Shock Treatment as a signature move, and he would usually put the opponent on his shoulders, pose for the crowd, then drop. Kennedy though was punching and squirming all the time trying to escape, and he made Lashley earn that move. Other wrestlers also stand there and wait for Jeff Hardy to run up the corner and hit the Whisper in the Wind. Unless Kennedy doesn't see it coming, he'll sidestep it. Where the other guy would stand there, wait for Jeff to climb the corner, then get hit like a Deer in headlights. Kennedy also has blocked the Chin Music. How many other wrestlers have actually blocked it, rather than duck, or just get hit? However as he also pointed out, if his "fighting back" leads to a botch, then in the end it really isn't worth it, because you're making the other guy look bad. Still though, I enjoy his mic work, and his constant changing of finishers. At least it adds something fresh. But the guy is coming close to a tie with Jericho as far as how many different finishers he's used: Middle Rope Green Bay Plunge Standing Green Bay Plunge Kenton Bomb Flatliner

After watching that 5 minute clip, I'm really excited about this flick now. Still waiting for a good pic of the monster though. We're less than a month away so maybe something will come up soon.

Do I see the Bushwackers at Eric Young's party? Also, I haven't caught Impact in a long time, but when did Brother Ray put on all the weight? He was always a bit on the chubby side, but holy shit. -
The meatball sub is decent, but yea the Chicken Parmesan is the shit. Arby's has the best fries ever, but you feel like so greasy and dirty after eating there.
