Is it safe to consider Mr. Magorium a bomb? I figured this would've been the king of the Christmas season box office, but it just drops by the week.

I tried Atkins way back in 2003, though I was hungry all the time, (which is why the "diet" failed), I did manage to drop almost 25 lbs in 2 weeks. Yes though, that's really all you see in Atkins friendly restaurants, either a hamburger on a paper tray, or hamburger wrapped in a lettuce leaf. I tried the feast last week with just the meat and cheese (never been too big on veggies). It was pretty good, but I wasn't all that impressed.

I think that was debunked on the IMDB boards a couple weeks ago. Thought that particular design does have a strong reseblence to Sin from Final Fantasy X.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the all-time greats, but I HATE the Ashley escort missions, and just playing as Ashley in general.

I used to mark out for Norton's reverse shoulderbreaker. In a simpler time prior to Canadian Destroyers and Vertebreakers, Norton's finisher looked like death. My favorite thing WCW ever did with Norton was his mini-feud with the Cat. The Cat was cutting one of his somebody call my momma promos, and the camera cut back to the nWo b-team locker room, and at first I was a little confused. Then, just to be a prick, Brian Adams knocked on the bathroom door, and said "Hey Flash, The Cat's in the ring.......HE'S CALLING YOU OUT, MAN!". Then Norton stormed out of the bathroom, went down to the ring, and beat the holy hell out of The Cat. The next week, The Cat was in the ring, trying to apologize for whatever he did to piss off Norton, then once again, cut to the nWo B-Team Locker Room. "HEY FLASH, THE CAT'S CALLING YOU OUT AGAIN!". Once again, The Cat was destroyed by Norton. I think they ended up having a decent PPV blowoff, but still, those "THE CAT IS CALLING YOU OUT" spots were really good.

Lashley wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that he sounds like a pissed off 5 year old whenever he speaks. Who could forget his promo in early December last year, "AH YOU GUYS! DA TWIB-YUTE TO DUH TWOOPS IS GONNA BE GWEAT!" IMO, if they couldve gotten Heyman to stick around after December to Dismember, they should've eventually turned Lashley and made Heyman his mouthpiece. For God's sake, Lashley should never say another word in a wrestling ring ever again.

Its a Michael Bay Movie

One of my favorite Flair promos was one he cut back in early 2002, where he was nearly in tears begging and pleading with Vince to not bring the nWo to the WWF. Shows how good of a promo Flair is. In the late 90's, you rarely got anything short of excellent from a Rock or Austin promo.

So awesome. What has always amazed me is that he then went out and had a match that was somehow worse than that promo. God I love that PPV. You wanna play 21? WELL I GOT 22! You wanna play Blackjack?! WELL I GOT 2 OF THOSE TOO! D....D.....T......D...D...T......DDTDDTDDT! Good, bad, thats just a classic promo. A friend of mine has a video promo of Warrior ranting about an upcoming match with Hercules. My favorite line is Warrior talking about the two of them walking into the "Forest of Destiny", and how one of them will carry the "Axe of Judgement" to cut down the "Trees of Wisdom". It's great stuff.

Has anyone tried the new Ratchet and Clank? I played it for about 10 minutes in Gamestop the other day, and thought it was pretty damn good.

One thing about the commentary in Just Bring It, was that regardless of how silly of a name the move had, nearly every move in the game was called by the commentators. DANGEROUS DDT! DANGEROUS DRIVER! My favorite screwy commentary in SDvR 2007 was J.R. calling the Catatonic a "Spinning You-Rain-Gee Slam".

I just got to Jerusalem. Overall I like the game though it does get repetitive at times. My main complaint is with the bad clipping on some of the kills. For instance, the very first guy that was assassinated at the beginning of the game: I did the stealth kill on him, but as he was falling over, both of his legs below the knees "sank" into the floor below. Theres no excuse for shit like this to still be happening in games. I do like some of the combos you get. My favorite I've seen is a counter where Altiar hits the enemy in the knees with the edge of his sword, then stabs them in the back when they double over.

The bad comentary programming has been a funny issue for a while. I and many others mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I still find it funny that nearly everything Rhyno did in one of the earlier games made the announcers scream GORE GORE GORE! I think the same game had TAZZMISSION called for anything that Tazz did. I'm still kind of iffy about picking this up. The graphics look amazing on the 360 and PS3, but the animations are still lacking. I believe I saw some of the same animations that have been used since the first SD. To those that have it, is that "stiff as a board" falling animation still in the game? Always hated that.

Blind Melon reunited? Speaking of the Verve Pipe, I kind of enjoyed the song "Hero" that they released for a short time in the late 90's, but holy God did "Freshmen" get played to death. I like it a little more now because I only hear it once every month or so, but damn.

OMG Terminator 4 is definetly going ahead
haws bah gawd replied to Vanhalen's topic in Television & Film
As others have said, the ending of Terminator 3 knocked me on my ass. For everything the Connors tried to do for the previous 20 years, Judgement Day was going to happen and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. I just mark out for nuclear attacks, and the end of T3 did not disappoint in that area. I'm interested in where they will go with Terminator 4. -
Wrestlemaina X-7 VHS - This is my personal end-all/be-all Wrestlemania. Could never part with this classic. Rise and Fall of ECW DVD - Great documentary, told truthfully enough. ECW One Night Stand 2005 - Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka is one of my favorite matches of the last 5 years or so. Why WWE didn't sign either of these guys after this brawl is beyond me.

I just wanted to add one more thing in regards to RVD. What was going on with his fake title win against Undertaker in Summer 2002? He and Taker had an Undisputed Title match on RAW, and RVD got the pin following Rolling Thunder. The place went fucking insane. However, it was shown that Undertaker's foot was on the bottom rope, which the referee missed, and all it took following the restart of the match was kick *WHAM* Last Ride. No more offense for RVD, just a quick pin by Taker. Was this a miscounted pin by the Ref? WWE testing the waters with an RVD title win?

Here's another one. Anyone remember in early 2003, when there was a short feudc between Chris Jericho and Test? Jericho did a dick-heel move on RAW one week where he handcuffed Test to the ring, forcing him to watch which he put Stacy in the Walls of Jericho. Stacy sold this by crying, screaming, and begging Jericho to let her go, while Test struggled to get free of the cuffs to help her. Anyways, the whole time JR and The King were condemning (no pun intended) Jericho for putting his hands on a woman. Not 6 months later, Stacy didn't like the taste of a beer that Stone Cold Steve Austin offered her, so he took offense and gave her a Stunner. JR proceeded to scream out "I GUESS SHE SHOULD'VE DRANK THE BEER! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!" Sometimes it's best to not try to understand WWE when it comes to violence on women. -
Hey its cool. Truth be told, I lucked upon a Wii, Zelda and Red Steel on launch day, decided the system wasn't for me, put it on eBay the same day just hoping to get my money back, and it sold for over $500. I even payed out of pocket for overnight shipping to the guy that won, just to make myself feel better about the deal. It sold for over $200 more than I paid, so helping the guy with overnight wasn't going to kill me all that much.

As opposed to scalpers of anything else? well if we were in the music or sports folders I would say I hate scalpers of those tickets as well. Ced, that sucks about the drum layout...I haven't played it yet, but I'm used to Konami's set up. I haven't played Guitar Heroes either, is it also different? I don't want the thread to turn into a scalping is/isn't right debate, but thought I would throw in my two cents. It wouldn't really be scalping if he just places the auction without a high reserve price and/or some ridiculous buy-it-now price, and just takes whatever it will sell for. If he did that, then it's the eBay buyers that determine how much they want to pay for the item, and not the seller. Now ticket scalpers are a pain. You should be around Augusta, Ga when its time for The Masters Golf Tournament. You'll see all sorts of people whoring off their passes and such for huge $$$. Though the same could be said for any sporting event, especially the big ones. On topic though, I was able to play Rock Band at a kiosk in Wal-Mart the other day. I don't know if it was just the particular guitar I was using, but the fret keys and strum bar felt kind of "gummy". Still though, it was fun to destroy Black Hole Sun on hard difficulty (first time playing the song too, it seemed fairly easy on Hard for some reason) to the amazement of a couple kids standing nearby. I know that's no big achievement really, but for a guy that's only been able to play Guitar Hero I-III on medium, it was an accomplishment for me.

I'm fine with Vickie playing heel, but the Tombstone spot has me scratching my head. I know the poor woman is just trying to support her family, but I feel she needs to stay out of the ring. If Vickie is back on TV next week though, it will kind of downplay the Tombstone a bit. It would almost be as bad as the Coach getting up and running away after taking Khali's karate chop of doom a couple weeks ago. -
I just saw some pics of Kevin Thorne's new look. He looks a hell of a lot like that guy that used to front Adema.

The last couple times I saw Brian Knobbs on Hogan Knows Best, it looked like he could barely get around without a cane. I guess his health has improved since then. Anyone know the story behind this clip floating around that appears to be from Thunder, involving Knobbs being overhead belly-to-belly suplexed on his face? Looks like its La Parka doing the suplex. -
I think the Save_Us.222 videos started the night of Cena's injury. I could be wrong though.
