the shittest album cover in recent memory

Back in 1999, EVERYONE I knew (myself included) bought this. It had a couple decent tracks, but hasn't aged well. Why dont we have a *hanging head in shame* emoticon?

I remember him trying the Enziguiri for a short while. The only bad part about it was he botched it more often than not. At one of the Spring 2004 PPV's, he had a match against Tomko and pinned him after executing an Enziguiri to the ass. I'm pretty pumped for Monday Night though. I know we have a fantasy booking folder for things like this, but I think Jericho and Santino in a "dueling mics" segment would make for classic TV.

    South Park: Season 11

A great episode to top-off the current season. As Scroby said, this felt like an old episode. Kenny being killed for the first time in eternity (wasn't the Mister Jefferson episode from 3 years ago the last time he was killed?), Stan puking on Wendy (complete with new High-Res Puke), even the outcast ugly kids had me rolling. I just want to know where Timmy has been lately.

I remember back in 2001-2002 when he tried a couple new finishers, but neither ever really caught on. He beat The Rock for the WCW World Title with a Full Nelson Face Buster called "The Breakdown", then when he was sent to Smackdown in the first WWE Roster Draft, he started using a sleeper-slam called "The Flashback". I would like to see him try something different other than the Walls of Jericho or Lionsault. Not that I necessarily dislike either move, but just to see him do something different. How many different finishers has he been through anyway? I never watched any of his pre-WCW Work so this is all I have to work with: WCW - Liontamer Lionsault (did he use this in WCW?) Double Powerbomb (can't remember if he ever actually won a match with it) Several Submissions used just to add to his feuds, ex: Canadian Jericho Maple leaf: A Combination of the Liontamer and Texas Cloverleaf - he made at least 1 other cruiserweight tap out with this while feuding with Dean Malenko. WWE - Walls of Jericho Lionsault Breakdown Flashback

How on Earth could they? The fans were chanting "Y2J" a month ago. That's the name everyone knows him by. Plus it's easy to chant. Kind of like C-M-PUNK, or TRI-PLE-H. I suppose LI-ON-HEART would work just as well, but Y2J is his established identity in WWE. with that rationale, shouldn't "JERICHO" also be easy to chant? Indeed. Seems they try to shoot for 3-syllable names.

The Matt Hardy vs MVP feud started when? July? August? After all this time, I hope they have a worthwhile ending for it.

    Good matches with bad finishes

I agree perhaps they went a little too far to protect The Rock at Wrestlemania X-7, but it still doesn't knock it down from my personal favorite match of all time. The 10+ chairshot finisher was there to show how desperate Austin was to become champion again, and when The Rock kept kicking-out of Stunner, after Stunner, Austin took advantage of the no-DQ rule. Aside from the fact that The Rock was leaving for a couple months to film a movie, it's really no different than it taking nothing short of a nuclear attack to pin John Cena. Here's an interesting topic to look into one of these days: Who has been more protected? The Rock from Late 1998-2002, or the Invincible John Cena? In regards to Trish vs Mickie, didn't Trish blow her knee out during Mickie's spinning bulldog, which led to Mickie improving the weak kick for the win? One of the top worst finishes I can remember though is the previously-stated Booker T vs HHH match from Wrestlemania 19. It takes Hulk Hogan THREE legdrops to pin VINCE MCMAHON, but it takes only one Pedigree, and a full minute of laying there to put away Booker T. Lame.

    Smackdown Spoilers for 11/16/07

I kinda thought they may actually attempt a face turn with MVP. So much for that idea. So now we have both HBK and Matt Hardy going into the Survivor Series with "injured" knees due to cheap shots. Batista vs Mark Henry will probably be pretty rough, but Mysterio vs Kennedy should be good.
  11. The idea behind putting up lots of Wii boxes with price tags, even when they aren't in stock is simple. When the customer walks in and is saddened by the news of the store not having a Wii, they'll usually buy something else just to justify the trip inside. Oldest trick in the book.

    Box Office Report...

I'm upset that this made even this much. Agreed. I can't believe the Gameplan is still in the top 10. Good for the Rock!

    Cloverfield

Thanks for the reminder. When I heard of a monster with scales that fall off and turn into smaller monsters, I was trying to think of where I'd seen something similar before. I'd rather enjoy seeing this thing wreak havoc in New York.

Smackdown Spoilers for the 11/9 Airing

It's been said to death thus far, but I have to repeat on how good it was to see Finlay pick up a win for once, without having to resort to using his Shillelagh. Undertaker vs Khali wasn't all that bad, IMO. Seeing Undertaker get in his chokeslam spot about a minute into the match, and again towards the end of the match was kind of strange. I liked his use of the Triangle Choke for the win though. It might have looked like crap to the MMA, but looked convincing enough to make Khali submit. Punk vs Noble was getting good towards the run-in finish. I wouldnt mind seeing Noble chase Punk for the ECW title at some point. Batista's promo was decent enough. Just let him come out and say a couple words, nothing longer than 3 or 4 minutes, and his promos are usually pretty good.

    The Youtube Thread

How about this guy wrestling an invisible man? How the hell are you guys embedding youtube videos onto the board? I tried youtube's embed link and it just displayed the code here. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K-FVM1Kgkc&rel=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K-FVM1Kgkc&rel=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

That was a damn good match after a long string of mediocre Undertaker matches though.

WWE General Discussion - November 2007

mark henry joined in late 2003 (remember he was on Team Bischoff at Sur Series 03 and even briefly feuded with Booker T), and lasted untill benoit messed up his shoulder with a crossface after he jumped to raw in 04 Good times. That Crossface was nasty.

    WWE announces 2007 DVDs

I cant wait for the Stone Cold DVD. Assuming it will have his Wrestlemania 13 match against Bret, the Three Stages of Hell match against Triple H at No Way Out 2001, and the classic he and The Rock had at Wrestlemania X-7 (still my favorite match of all time), it will be a must-own.

Smackdown Spoilers for the 11/9 Airing

I haven't been able to watch SD since their debut. I only saw them wrestle in a dark match prior to a Smackdown taping a couple of months ago. Festus was doing a good job of portraying the monster of the team, but I haven't seen him use this bell-ringing gimmick yet. I can only imagine how lame this comes across on TV.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

I have a random question that's completely off the subject. Has anyone here listened to Nightwish's "End of an Era" live album? If so, does anyone know what Marco is screaming at the beginning of "Planet Hell"?

Smackdown Spoilers for the 11/9 Airing

I'll have to see how the Finlay/Mysterio match comes across on TV. The thing that surprises me about it is Finlay picked up a clean win over someone. They usually resort to the DONE-TO-FUCKING-DEATH "Distract the referee, hit opponent with the shelaylee (however you spell it)" finish for nearly all of Finlay's wins. I'm glad they decided to change it up a little. Punk vs Noble should be pretty good. Can't wait to see that one. The SD tag title scene is a mess. What have the Majors Brothers done to deserve anything?
