I had a subscription to EGM up until the buyout and cancellation of the magazine. I think I still had about 2 or 3 more issues coming. Nothing else coming in at the moment though.

$150K per track? So, what becomes of the person who can't pay the $1,650,000.00 fine for an 11 track album? Federal prison? Anything to get that economy back on track huh Barack?

So, Bradshaw can't say ass in his promo, you know, understandably for the kid's sakes. However, Mark Henry can have the 36 Mafia saying "Somebody gonna get they ass kicked" multiple times in his entrance music, and that's ok?

WWE SmackDown - March 27, 2009

That ending segment was GREAT until HBK started with the dancing. Taker coming out of the ring mat really saved it for me. I'm really looking forward to the match. -
Well to be fair to the writers Kiz and Mord sucked, a month or so was all those characters deserved. I can see what you mean about cookie cutter heels and faces though. Something needs to change there. I still can't get why they had Mordecai cut a promo in his cathedral calling-out then WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero? I believe it was a week later they put him in a match with Rey Mysterio (which is a fucking AWESOME match, BTW), jobbed him clean, and he vanished. I've always been one of the first around here to defend Kevin Fertig. Supposedly the reason why he was sent back to OVW after debuting the Mordecai character was because he was "too careful in the ring". I can see where that would cause a little trouble, but I would think Vince would hold him in high regard for going the extra mile to protect himself and the guy he was in the ring with. That's just me though. I even enjoyed the Kevin Thorn character until WWE stripped-away the Vampire character and put him in a jobber singlet. Sometimes one has to wonder if Vince intentionally gives some of these guys shit gimmicks, just to justify that they "aren't ready for TV". Then gets pissed if they get over with the crowds. Look at Paul Burchill with the Pirate gimmick. He was getting pretty over with the crowds, and I don't think Vince ever intended for that to happen. So, he fed him to Mark Henry in a squash match, where he soon vanished from TV for over a year. When he finally returned, he was put in a pseudo-incest angle with his "sister" Katie Lea, which was dropped after a couple weeks. Boogeyman was an interesting case as well. I don't think they intended for him to get as popular as he did. He had a very unique style of moving around the ring, and his mannerisms made the gimmick work. They even had him squash JBL in about 3 minutes at Royal Rumble 2006, then go on to squash Booker T at Wrestlemania 22. Then the injury bug bit him again, and again. You guys are right though regarding everyone more or less having the same gimmicks and mannerisms. Kofi Kingston jumps around and smiles, as does Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. The only things really separating them are their appearances and move sets.

What ended the Late 90's Pro Wrestling Boom?
haws bah gawd replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Wrestling
Definitely Wrestlemania X-SEVEN. Starting the night after, things just didn't "feel" the same. Austin even said in his bio, "The Stone Cold Truth", that if he had to do it over again, after winning the title at WM17, he would have called an audible and Stunned Vince. -
Funny episode. The Last Supper spoof towards the end was wrong as hell, but funny all at the same time. Another great episode. I don't think a Randy Marsh-centered episode has disappointed, yet.

Vince Mcmahon calls TNA programming "Reprehensible"
haws bah gawd replied to MikeJordan23's topic in TNA Wrestling
My Dad has one in his storage shed, for reasons unknown. My Granddad had one in his basement that he bought for crushing asphalt when he was filling-in his driveway. I too find "reprehensible" an odd choice of words. A couple weeks ago on RAW, Triple H broke into Orton's home, tore some stuff up, threatened Orton's "wife", then threw Orton through a window. This past week, Orton DDT'ed Stephanie off the Middle Rope, then kissed her while she was passed out, and hit Triple H with the Sledge. Looks like as usual, he's talking from both sides of his mouth. As others have said, I believe in about 5-6 years, when the current target audience grows up and becomes angst-filled teenagers, we will probably see another Attitude Era of sorts. -
Far and away not only my most anticipated Wrestlemania, but my favorite wrestling event of all time. I've never since felt as though I for my money's worth, as much as I did after watching this on PPV. So, finally this past Fall, I came across a used WWF copy at Moviestop for the unbelievably-low price of $7.99. I know I could have simply bought the Wrestlemania Anthology version, but with this being such an important event to me, I wanted it with the unblurred logos, and Limp Bizkit soundtrack (IMO, providing "My Way" to be the theme for this show is still their only positive contribution to society) intact. Beats paying the ungodly Ebay markup which has admittedly dropped a LOT in the past couple years. Motorhead's unadvertised (?) appearance was definitely memorable, as was Stone Cold Steve Austin having on of the most emotional matches in recent memory against The Rock. I could write paragraphs about this PPV, but I think I've said enough.

I still jerk off watching Austin's chair-assault on Lita. HA!
-
I laughed my ass off at the "Dear God NO!" at 1:23 of that video. Those drums look insane! I'm still glad to see No Leaf Clover getting some love. One of my favorite Metallica tracks.
-
That's for damn sure. I still cringe watching Austin's chair-assault on Lita.
-
I'd laugh my fucking ass off if the crowd was 100% behind Orton during the match. Looks like it may go that way. At least the crowds still apparently have no love for Stephanie. HHH may be a different story.
-
12 Rounds footage you guys! Just in case anyone forgot....
-
THIS Orton is amazing. Reminds me of the sick fuck HHH used to portray in his heel days with the Sledge. Christ, this guy's a dick!
-
HAH, crowd boos at Orton putting down the Sledge!
-
THUD! AWESOME!!!!!
-
Damn, Steph looks.....nice
-
There will be a sneak peak of 12 Rounds after RAW tonight! Don't forget everyone! King vs Jericho next week? That's.....different.

I was just about to ask if anyone heard that 12 Rounds is opening in theaters this week? Christ, did Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia get this much promotion?

I cannot wait to see how this plays out on TV. I think it could be the segment that really puts the match over as being something truly special. Definitely looks interesting. For some reason, I was expecting HBK to come out wearing Mordecai's old duds, but that doesn't look too bad. -
Good production values on the HBK promo.
