Damn fucking shame. I loved the hell out of Crush when he was mold-green in the days of Demolition, and enjoyed his Kronik run (get off my back OK?). Rest in peace.

I have no idea what this movie is about but I want to see it! GI Jesus? The hell? I saw a poster for this in the window of a Movie Gallery. I thought it was a straight to video release. May as well have been though? It's good to see Chevy can still find work. Lauren Holly? She was a goddess in the early-mid 90's. Has she aged well? I haven't actually seen any of these. I didn't know Slow Burn was a bomb though. The people at Moviestop were pushing reserves for it like the second coming of Christ, before the video release.

Heh, Code Veronica. I still remember picking that up back in 2000 the day it was released. I about had a heart attack at how good the graphics were, and the camera FOLLOWED YOU AROUND instead of being in a static location. It's still one of my favorite games despite the insane amount of backtracking you have to do, especially early in the game. Resident Evil 4 is my current pinnacle of gaming greatness. It is the game that I compare all others to.

I agree that 'Taker's streak should be given to someone that can truly capitalize on the rub. Am I wrong in that this is the last big rub that's left in wrestling? Its a career-making accomplishment for someone to be able to say that they ended Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak. Reserve it for someone that has many years left in them.

OaO Monday Night Raw Thread - 08/13/07
haws bah gawd replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Since WWE has been using "Bow Down to the King" or whatever the song is called to hype HHH's return, I wonder if he'll be using that elaborate Wrestlemania 22 entrance for his return? I hope WWE didn't invest a lot of $$$ into that throne if he was just going to use it once and never again. Also, is it just me or does HHH look even more bulked-up in his "We can Rebuild Him" video than he ever has before? His arms look gigantic. Hey now, we need to support our fellow Texans and I can't even finish with a straight face. The whole "King" gimmick is so incredibly laughable. Yeah, it's amusing to see Mr. Huffman attempt a British accent, but they force him to play the role as if he really thinks he's an English king. I know the WWE has always liked portraying Booker like he's complete fucking retard, but come on. That's almost as bad as Paul Buarrrrrrrchill's old gimmick of really believing he's a pirate. Hey come on, that was pretty entertaining for the month or so that it lasted. He was getting fairly over with it as well. -
Wrestlescale - Results You are central in your beliefs about wrestling. You accept the idea of both old-school and sports entertainment but you are not extreme in either way. You believe that angles and matches are equally important to create a good wrestling product. Most similar booker: Paul Heyman Most similar promotion: TNA 2002

That'd be an interesting return. I forgot about her. I enjoyed William Birkin's character in RE2. He's pretty underrated IMO. That trailer is insane.

I didnt even know DOA got a theatrical release.

So, is Skinwalkers the biggest bomb of the year so far?

When Was The Last Time You Were Surprised By A Match Finish?
haws bah gawd replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
I have another one. How about the out of nowhere title victory of Mankind over Stone Cold at Summerslam 99? HHH Pedigree'd Stone Cold, then Mankind knocked HHH out of the ring, gave Austin a basic double-underhook DDT and got the (IMO) anticlamatic 3-count. -
I would agree with that. September '03 is right around the time TNA started to sign older guys like Lex Luger and Rick Steiner and immediately put them in the main event. If only TNA would've continued on the track they had set for themselves and avoided Vince Russo. X-Division title was treated as the top title of the promotion, Heavyweight title was still treated as an important title but didn't always have to be defended in the main event, and TNA pieced together some solid tag teams like America's Most Wanted, the Flying Elvises, and the New Church. While guys like Raven were considered "WWE rejects" upon their arrival, TNA used them in a way that made them seem special. I REALLY think they made a mistake when they didn't put the title on Raven after the great angle that built to the match. I still follow TNA and will still support them, I suppose I just hold out a little bit of hope that perhaps one day they'll return to the great promotion they once were. QFT. The beating that Jarrett took in that match only to come back & get the win is still one of, if not THE biggest bullshit moment in TNA's history. I don't remember exactly what all Jarrett was hit with, but I think it was something to this effect: Evenflow DDT *KICKOUT* Evenflow DDT *KICKOUT* *Raven signals for his lackeys to run down* Sandman and Justin Credible take turns beating the fucking hell out of Jarrett with Kendo sticks *KICKOUT* THATS INCREDIBLE from Justin Credible *KICKOUT* Some random move from New Jack *KICKOUT* Evenflow DDT ON A CHAIR *KICKOUT* *crowd goes ballistic with the bullshit chants* *TNA's faces run down for the save* *kick* WHAM Stroke 1-2-3! Is that about right? Even the wonderous, invincible John Cena wouldn't get up from that.

The Next Gen Hart Foundation debut on OVW TV [JULY 28, 2007]
haws bah gawd replied to Oldschool's topic in The WWE Folder
So it looks like Teddy is the deal breaker here. Anyone placing any bets? As much as I want this new Hart Foundation idea to take off, I just KNOW Teddy Hart is gonna fuck it all up. Plus, Jack Evans getting a tryout? Thats one of the more random tryouts I've heard of recently. Unless the rumors of WWE considering starting its own take on the X-Division are true, I dont see that ever happening. The poor guy would look like a child in the ring with some of the other guys, -
That lukewarm return pop you guys are trying to remember may have been from 2005 (?) when he returned to RAW in a tag match with Ric Flair against Carlito and Chris Masters. I believe he had just taken maybe 2 or 3 months off to rest some nagging injuries, and returned as a face to an alright reaction. It was NOTHING compared to that roar from Hell that he received in 2002.

Samoa Joe vs. Rikishi headlines Ballpark Brawl VIII
haws bah gawd replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
Christ, couldn't they get more recent photos of these guys? Yea, I too thought something looked a little off. That looks like a pic of Joe from his old UWF(?) days, and unless 'Kishi's changed, he hasnt been in that good of shape in years. -
This is the 1st show Finlay has been on since Hornswoggle won the belt. Hornswoggle usually gets face pops, and they really haven't done anything differently w/ Finlay because of it, so I imagine it'll stay the same. As for the CW belt, the rumor/news is that they're going to kill off the CW belt in favor of a X-Division-type deal, so that's why Hornswoggle won it. And I prefer Noble's Tiger Bomb to the gutbuster thing. Speaking of Tiger Bombs, the one that Regal used as a finisher for a short time in 2002 was a thing of beauty.

No. It was the best 3-D wrestling game ever to be released in North America. My only complain about '07 was the lack of selling. In 06, if you worked on the leg, the opponent would limp around the ring. In 07, unless I've missed something (I haven't played it that much lately), no matter what part of the body you work on, the opponent will just hold the back of his head, and move extra slow around the ring. The 7+ year-old N64 games had the selling done perfectly, why cant these new wrestling games?

The BK Double Stacker is still one of the best burgers I've had in a while. I don't even want to imagine how many calories they crammed into it

Not taking anything away from your idea, but here's how that would work out. It all leads to the big match. Umaga and Cena vs HHH, Carlito, Kennedy and Orton at the next PPV! Whats this? Umaga has been injured before the match from a gang beating at the hands of HHH's new stable, so Cena will have to go it alone. BAH GAWD~! Cena has done it! He's overcome the odds and won the match! Lame.

Wait, can't you feel the anticipation in the air? Can't you just see those ratings exploding after that thrilling mcmahon yammering about his family while regal nodded?! I mean this is the shit!....unfortunately...i mean literally. If this is really their idea of what to do when ratings go down I'm saddened cause this Raw has sucked total ass......this so far in my opinion is the worst Raw of the year. You know after reading comments made by other people at other boards, I think we are one of the few sane people left who watch wrestling. I see comments everywhere about how much they enjoyed this show and I just can't believe it. Are we this out of touch or has everyone else just lost their mind? Simply unbelievable. No, I still enjoy watching wrestling. But if I'm going to be forced into a skit, I would rather it be one that's actually funny (I'm sorry but the Dating Game was the funniest thing WWE has put together in years), and not that witty John Cena indirectly calling his opponent a homosexual. I guess what it comes down to is I vote for the lesser of the 2 evils.

Oh my God! And they didn't even show the solo... After seeing that video, I cant wait for this game to come out! That looks so ridiculously hard to pull off. I let a guy that I work with listen to "Through the Fire and Flames" yesterday, because he had never heard of Dragonforce. Upon hearing the opening guitar riff, he said fuck this.

Dragonzord destroying NY = highest grossing movie of all time~!

Seriously, if you couldn't laugh at the dating game segment, you have no soul. I'll give WWE props for that one. I haven't laughed like that while watching RAW in a long time. Duggan - "I'll never call you a HHHHOOOOOOOO" Regal - "Yet somehow he manages to stay single" (said after we saw Duggan removing his wedding ring, but it was a funny joke nonetheless) Regal's facial expressions and mannerisms are the stuff of brilliance. His 10 minute victory "dance" after winning the battle royal was great as well. Now if only Regal had his old "commissioner" office back, complete with suit of armor for Shawn Stasiak to run headfirst into every week, I would be set. I see a lot of promise in Santino, playing his "desperate for sex, dork" character. Now for the bad: Cena interviewing himself was just flat-out awful. It wasn't funny, and I was glad to hear the crowd letting him know it with a fairly audible "Cena Sucks" chant. It didn't do much good for Carlito to sit on Cena's shoulders for a couple minutes, while Cena taunted Orton, without trying to fight out of the FU at least.

Psycho, sledgehammer-wielding HHH is great. I've been reading rumors that he's supposed to be using that Conan the Barbarian outfit from WMXXII when he returns. Face or heel, I'm just ready for his return.

Covers you liked better than the original?
haws bah gawd replied to Mr. S£im Citrus's topic in Music
Damn near anything by Motorhead has that effect. -
"Through the Fire and Flames" alone has pretty much cemented me picking this up when it's released. That entire album ("Inhuman Rampage") is fantastic guitar work. Come to think of it, I would rather enjoy an entire Progressive Metal style of Guitar Hero game.
