We received a fax at my store today (Rhino Games) saying that Sony has decided to only sell the PS3 on launch day at their "biggest selling stores". It looks like on places like Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc. will be seeing systems on launch day. It really sucks for places like Gamestop and EB Games that have filled all those pre-orders.

I remember "Im the Scatman" from around 1997 or so. Great song.

I loved the gore in this flick, being that it had some very creative death traps. The story of the movie was different to say the least, but all made sense with the big plot twist at the end. It explains some of the mysteries from the first couple of movies, and ties them together nicely. All in all its definitely worth going to see, and I enjoyed it much more than the 2nd one, which in itself was pretty good.

Speaking of Khali, I really want to see Benoit in a match with him (should he be brought back). Benoit pulled a decent match out of Nathan Jones, and I'm curious of what he can do with Khali.

One thing that really brought a smile to my face is the improvement in graphics between the current-gen systems and the 360 version of this game. I really wasn't expecting more than a high-res port of the current gen stuff, but seeing how much better Galactus looks on the 360 blew me away. This is a must buy to me now.

One of the guys that wrestles for the local indy fed has a Million Dollar Belt that he carries to the ring with him. You really cant understand just how good that belt looks until you see it in person. I would love to have one, but Im not even close to willing to throw down the $400+ that most sites charge to get it. Probably the best deal I ever got was the classic WCW World Title replica (early 90's version, not to be confused with Big Gold), which I got on eBay back in January for just a little over $110.

Good stuff. I rather enjoyed the one guy who said "he wanted to simply check on the girl and make sure she was ok......have some coffee with her.....maybe try to be a big brother to her...." HAHA.

Here are my top 3 1 - vs Chris Benoit - Royal Rumble 2003 Hard hitting technical clinic between these two. This is what I consider the standard for a perfect match. It also tells a great story. Benoit and Angle throw everything they have at eachother, and neither is able to put the other away. Angle finally in an act of desperation puts Benoit in the Ankle Lock, then drops back into a grapevine leglock. Theres no way Benoit can make it to the topes, and is finally forced to submit. Perfection! 2 - vs Undertaker - No Way Out 2006 As others have said, its Taker's last great match (at least up to this point) and a testament to Angle's ability to carry anyone to a fantastic bout. Don't get me wrong, Taker busted his ass in ways he hasnt done in years for this match, but a lot of the credit has to go to Angle as well. 3 - vs Brock Lesnar - Wrestlemania XIX Not a great match from a technical standpoint, but a hard-hitting spot fest full of stiff suplexes and insane bumps by a man who could've possibly died in the ring at any given moment, and who had no business participating in the match. The match is perhaps given more attention than it deserves because of the blown SSP from Brock, but it was still a great fight between the two.

I greatly enjoyed the Steve O and Chris Pontius sketch. Steve O no-selling moves that have come just short of killing WWE wrestlers for the past 6 months was hilarious. I got a laugh out of the stiff kick to the back that Umaga gave Steve, but I'm sure the guy has felt pain much worse than Umaga can give him. After 3 years of watching Wild Boyz, (the guy lets Scorpions sting him just to see what it feels like, for Christ's sake), I'd say theres not a lot of stuff that Umaga could do to the guy in the area of stiffness. -
During the Undertaker vs Flair match from Wrestlemania 18, Taker tried to give Flair the Last Ride. Flair was obviously not physically capable of assisting Taker in the powerbomb, so they had to abandon the spot and go for the Tombstone. Well, long story short, JR was screaming about how Undertaker was trying to give Flair a "modified shoulder breaker". Yea........

Thank Christ that hideous Goro/Cage cover is just one of several different ones. The first time we saw the two at my store, we all decided the cover with the metallic dragon should've been the premium cover, and that ass-looking Cage/Goro cover should've been the standard.

OAO Raw Family Reunion Thread - October/9th/2006.

Me and some friends were eating dinner at a Waffle House outside of Columbia after the show last night. We were sitting in there for about 10 minutes, and in comes Mr. Kennedy, and some other dark haired guy that I didn't recognize (WWE staff person perhaps?). Kennedy sat on a bar stool and ordered some food, then just sat there looking kind of bored. After some coaxing, I walked up to him, politely introduced myself, and told him how much I enjoy his work on Smackdown. We chatted for about a minute, then I asked if he had time for a photo, which he gladly agreed to. So, I stood next to him with a slight grin, while he did his pose that he does when hes waiting for his mic to drop from the rafters. Looked like it would make a good pic. Then all of a sudden he went into full character, dropped the pose, got about a foot from my face, and gave me the most ackward stare I have ever witnessed. I was so surprised at this, that I burst into laughter, and I now have a pic of Kennedy staring me down, while I have the most goober looking smile on my face. I then shook his hand, thanked him again for the picture and his time, and went back to my table. I can upload this picture later if anyone is interested. About a minute later, I decided to call a friend of mine who had already left town to let him know I had just met and got a picture with Mr Kennedy. So, I walked outside and started to make my call, and there is Rey Mysterio, talking on his cell phone to someone. He ended up staying on his phone for the entire time we were there, so no photo ops or small talk. Afterall, I sure as hell didn't want to play the rude prick and interrupt his call. -
Shiavonne referring to The Giant's horribly blown chokeslam on Hogan at Super Brawl 1996: "The Giant didnt QUITE get the elevation that he likes to get on that one". Really Tony? Hogan got maybe 6 or 7 inches off the ground before falling backwards.

Looks like Trey and Matt are working towards redeeming themselves for that steaming pile of horse shit that was the first half of this season. This was far and away a vast improvement over the first half of the season. Good stuff with the constant "WoW players have no life" references, and the boys turning into fat pimply nerds. Too bad fat Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and extra-fat Cartman will most likely be back to normal next week. I'm looking forward to seeing what Trey and Matt do next with the show.

Bible groups plan to protest The Amish murder victims' funerals
haws bah gawd replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
I used to date a girl whos father was a wannabe Fred Phelps. He shared his idealogies and such. I agree with milliondollarchamp. There is indeed a special place in the hottest depths of Hell reserved for people like Fred Phelps. Fuck him. One day he and his 'fag hating' followers are going to protest the wrong funeral and meet a very violent demise. -
As much as I respect Tommy Dreamer, I have to say I am pretty fucking pissed in regards to Thorne losing. Thorne has improved leaps and bounds since his short stint as Mordecai, and I was greatly enjoying the massive push he was receiving. I know one loss really doesn't amount to much in the long run (everyone has to JOB at some point), but I just hope it's not a sign of things to come. Sounds like a good show though.

Me and some friends are sitting 2nd row opposite the cameras for the Family Reunion Raw next week. Anyone else going?

The talk earlier in the thread about how Raven still hasn't claimed his title rematch, brings up one good point. Hasn't Abyss amassed about 4 or 5 title shots through various matches that he has yet to claim?

Most disappointing matches you've seen

I'll back up the Hogan vs Sting match from Starrcade. I'm not saying Sting should've squashed Hogan, but he should've gotten more offense than he did. After Hogan spent the previous year and a half being terrified of Sting, he destroyed him for most of the match. I only remember Sting getting in a little of his brawling moves and a couple dropkicks for his offense. All this buildup and it leads to one of the dumbest uses of the 'Dusty Finish' in history. -
So am I Slimm. Despite the risks of buying a launch console, I can guarantee one would at least double their investment on Ebay within the first couple days of the launch, if not make even more. I've been telling customers in Gamestop that if they are smart, they will buy one for the sole purpose of reselling it on Ebay. You can buy another one later, once the bugs are worked out.

Got my hopes up. I'll never understand what all of you see in JBL. He could pull the occasionally funny promo, but was worthless in the ring, and nothing special on commentary. I thought it was a waste of time to put this glorified midcarder in the main event in 2004 and I stand by that.
