I saw that WCW Thunder Blunders video a while back. Some interesting things on there for sure. Nash and Funk having the most boring fight ever....over a branding iron, Arquette winning the World Title, Sid cutting promos, it never ends. What was with Sting and Sid being Macho Man's cronnies though? I don't remember ever seeing this. Goldberg beating the shit out of the PTB's limo's windows always brings me a laugh, seeing as how he nearly bled to death on the spot. One thing I can't believe is how OVER Mene Gene is when hes fighting Mark Madden. The announcers are having a cow, and the crowd is on their feet for Gene. Unbelievable, and I loved every second of it. In another stroke of genius from WCW, DDP is trying to knock this guy off the top turnbuckle, so he falls into the ropes on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING, causing the guy to jump onto the top rope.

A friend of mine let me hear a couple songs off their newest cd. I LOVE their cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence". That is very kick ass. I can't really speak for the rest though.

Saw this with my girlfriend last night. I have no problems with the movie. I don't quite understand the ending (anyone care to explain it?), but the rest was great. Good gore and creature effects, and some chilling music. I've never played the games, but taken just as a horror movie, this was a good one. I'll be eagerly awaiting the DVD.

Again, I just can't put into words how awesome Reno and Rude were. Theyre easily the best parts of the movie. They go from being suave 'muscle' for the Shinra Corporation to complete goobers. Rude having a spare pair of shades, and Reno getting toyed-with by Cloud were great moments.

Good luck finding it. I ended up having to go to K-Mart to get ahold of one.

Suvari did a good enough job. I never played KH2 to hear her supposed horrid voice acting. Aeris gets around 5-7 minutes of screen time. Sephiroth comes across as cold and evil. Newburn did a very good job. Tee-Fah I've always found it funny how in college, they teach you that sticking to your deadlines is the only way to suceed in the business world. Yet all these game companies constantly push back their biggest releases, and can hardly ever stick to a deadline.

So, did anyone pick this up Tuesday? I really enoyed the movie, and the Turks were my favorite part. I don't remember Rude and Reno being such dorks in the game, but I really enjoyed them in the movie. The fight scenes were done brilliantly with way too much action happening way too fast on the screen. The fight with Sephiroth was short and sweet, and just as epic as I had hoped it would be. If you haven't seen this yet, you owe it to yourself to watch it at least once. As far as the Spirits Within, it wasn't because it wasn't related to any of the games story-wise that I didn't like it. It was because the plot made absolutely zero sense. It reminded me of Titan A.E. The filmakers put all their time and effort into making the movie LOOK good, without bothering to throw together a coherent plot.

I remember being amazed when I heard that. I wanted to make all these guys in the Wolfpac, so I had like Meng and Davey Boy Smith wearing Red and Black nWo shirts... yikes... I changed Hogan's attire back to his classic red and yellow and put in Goldberg as the new "leader" of nWo black and white. Beat that for 'dorkish'.

I have no complaints about tonight's episode. It was FAR better than the Towelie episode last week, and more entertaining than the unecessary 2-part Family Guy episode. I do think these guys are running out of ideas pretty quick though. What is that supposed to be? A Pigbearman? No, silly......its Manbearpig.

I was looking for Bass tabs actually, but thanks for the effort guys.

I think I saw Armando Antonio Guadalupe Gonzales Jorge Jose Estrada in there too. -
Oh hell yes. It's good to see that theres another Nightwish fan here. I had never heard of them until a friend of mine showed me their video for "I Wish I Had an Angel' back in 2004, and I've been hooked ever since. Their (now former) vocalist was a SMOKIN hot girl named Tarja, who was apparently a clasically-trained opera singer. This is as close to a perfect band as I have found because I have yet to hear a song from them that I didn't like. Their backup singer Marco, who looks like a modern-day Viking and has some of the most impressive vocals from a male that I have ever heard, has a side-band called Tarot if you can track down any of their material. "Suffer Our Pleasure" is my favorite album from Tarot, but "Do You Wanna Live Forever" has some good material as well. Some good Nightwish songs to track down are Nemo, She is my Sin, Ghost Love Score, and Planet Hell. Could anyone provide me with bass tabs to their song, Planet Hell? They are impossible to find online. On the subject of Lacuna Coil though, I have greatly enjoyed what I've heard. "Heaven is a Lie" has some haunting music in the background and is the best thing I've heard from them.

Bret Hart rules. Shame Mordecai had stage fright, he seemed pretty cool. I missed the time when Mordecai was on Smackdown!, was he any good? Did the smarks like him? A lot of the people on this board didn't care for him too much, and passed him off as another faceless hoss. I found him to be pretty entertaining since he was good on the mic, and a decent wrestler. He had some unique offense, and brought back the Razor's Edge as his finisher. I would love to see him back. Edit: I just watched that Stan Hansen video. I'm not very familiar with his work since I've only seen his early 90's US title feud with Lex Luger. However, with the exception of a couple of the clips, his lariat looks like it wouldn't hurt a fly. It was only when Kawada was bumping like a train hit him and the one guy that did a backflip that the move looked deadly. Aside from that, it appeared Hansen was lightly tapping them with his elbow joint.

I saw a preview for this episode tonight, and it actually looks somewhat good.

Yes! Now bring back Mordecai and give him a reasonable push this time. I hope the poor guy is over his stage fright by now.

While I never wish to see anything like this happen to someone, it seems as though Bob is getting a case of the Karma. Roughing up all those rookies just to be a dick (ex: Matt Capotelli, Rene Dupree and Carlito) is bound to lead to a backlash of sorts. Best wishes on a recovery though.

This reminds me of an article I read on Ogrish about this 'stomping' fetish thats going around the Asian countries. Apparently it involves a woman with a high-heeled shoe stomping puppies and kittens to death. Is there no low that the human race will not reach?

Nothing is more 'business-exposing' than one of the oldest moves in the book; the irish whip.

It means that on paper, the match seemed like it would suck, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. A good example of this is the Big Show vs Viscera World Title match from late 1999 on RAW. For the love of all that is holy, track this down and give it a watch. 2 overweight (Show was at least 50-60 lbs lighter than he is now, though) hosses clicking and putting on a very entertaining match. It's worth watching just to see Big Show bust out a missle dropkick. *** 1/2 easily. 2 honorable mentions involve Jeff Hardy: 1 - Chris Jericho carried him to a ****, 15+ minute match on Raw in February 2003 2 - He and Undertaker tore the fucking house down in their World Title Ladder Match on Raw in Summer 2002
-
Shame WWE took the picture off their website, but this is really nothing unusual. At a WCW houseshow I attended around 1998 or so, when DDP was the U.S. Champion, he came out wearing the Television Title. I have a picture of this at my house somewhere. I will try to remember to scan it.

HHH vs Cena was entertaining due to the crowd heat, but the match itself SUCKED ASS. There is no other way to describe it. Angle vs Undertaker is going to take a miracle to beat for MOTY. Both men fighting over their submissions made for a hell of a fight. I love the ending too since it put over Angle's desperation to get the win. There was no way in hell he was getting out of the triangle choke and the rollup was his last resort to get the win. That match fucking ROCKS!
