I was finally able to play this, this afternoon. Color me a little underwhelmed. It feels like a prettier Street Fighter II, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I still feel a little underwhelmed.

I want to know who's idea it was at FOX to air what I think we're season premieres of their animated shows last Sunday, only to air 2 hours of NASCAR this past week. I guess they didn't want to compete with the Oscars, but still.

West can go back to the Shop at Home channel, if it's still around, for all I care. If WWE ever does a "Best of The Big Show" DVD or something similar, it almost HAS to include his match against Viscera in late 1999.

John Morrison will definitely be in contention for one of the Big 2 World titles, sooner than later. He seems to have "it", and has improved by leaps and bounds since he was rushed into being ECW Champion. If you think Swagger got pushed to the ECW title in a hurry, look at Morrison. He was jobbing left and right as Johnny Nitro, then when Benoit no-showed Vengenace, (despite losing to CM Punk in the opening round of the ECW Tournament, IIRC), he was put into the finals with Punk. Not only did he win, but he won cleanly. Long story short, within a span of just a couple weeks, he went from someone possibly on the verge of being released (I seem to remember hearing that at the time), to ECW Champion. CM Punk will also go far. He doesn't seem to be much of a priority backstage or with management due to the fact that he lives his gimmick. No drugs/alcohol, and you never hear anything negative about him. Within a span of a year, the guy held almost every title in the company (ECW, World, IC, & RAW Tag), which shows the company looks at him as a go-to guy. Honestly, with WWE's current kid-friendly image, it almost seems like Punk would make the ideal company spokesperson. Send him to schools, and other public appearances. Have him speak to kids about not needing Drugs and Alcohol. It would give WWE some damn good PR at least. Overall, I think these 2 are going to be the top guys in the coming years after the old guard finally hangs it up.

Speaking of an NDA or something similar, he had an interesting way of seeing which of the writers was leaking info not too long ago. I seem to remember him giving false information to his writers. He then kept track of who got what information, and as soon as the fake story leaked online, he knew who was responsible, and they were fired. A unique, but effective way to find your mole.

I saw this today, finally. I really enjoyed it. I don't want to get too much into details at the moment, but this is definitely one of the better remakes I have ever seen.

I haven't heard a lot from Pantera, but what I have heard, I've liked.

Heh, Undertaker refused to fight "his brother" Kane for the longest time as well. Kane kept calling him out and calling him out. IIRC, he even beat the shit out of 'Taker on a RAW in late 1997, and he stood there and took it. I don't remember what it was that finally made Undertaker agree to the match at Wrestlemania 14 though. I didn't even think about it from reading the spoilers, but I seriously doubt Show has ever gotten a win over Cena until now. Good for him! Now if Punk could get a win over Jericho, we'd be all set.

This was probably for Kozlov to look like a legitimate threat before facing, and (hopefully) losing to HBK. Undertaker always works matches against WWE's big man flavor of the month, where Undertaker gets "beaten like we have NEVER seen Undertaker get beaten before". Time and time again, and he always wins the blowoff.

RAW was ..... interesting last night. Nothing really stood out as great, aside from Piper's promo. Gotta wonder how much of it was scripted, and how much came from the heart. It seemed like it was his genuine feelings. Looks like Triple H may be traded to RAW in exchange for Cena going to Smackdown to feud with Edge. Is it just me, or does the Spinner Belt STILL have the Monday Night RAW plate on it? How fucking lazy can these prop people be? Unless they lost the Smackdown plate after the 2005 Draft or something, there's really no excuse to go this long after the draft and not take the RAW plate off the strap. Unless they had this planned all along, and figured why go through the trouble, if the belt will be back on RAW in about 7 months anyway? Until the news broke about Shad being in the doghouse with management, I always wondered something about Cryme Tyme matches. How many other face tags teams do you see the big man always play the face in peril, only for the little guy to get the hot tag, come in and clean house? They definitely get some unique match circumstances.

Eh, it was about 10 seconds of extra footage. You get uncut footage of the following: Annie, the Hitchhiker, getting her throat cut by Ms. Voorhees. No "fade to white" until she hits the ground. Jack (Kevin Bacon) getting the arrow through his neck. No cutaway, and lots more blood. However, when the camera goes to an overhead view, the neck looks VERY fake. Ms. Voorhees beheading is several seconds longer. You see a set of hairy hands (those of Tom Savini's assistant, IIRC) reaching up towards the bloody stump.

Well, if Cena HAS been suspended for a Wellness Policy violation, then I find this HILARIOUS. Timmy, if you liked that cover, I suggest you give Northern Kings a shot. They're a European power metal "super group" (featuring vocalists from Tarot, Sonata Arctica, Teräsbetoni, and Charon) that do power metal-style covers of various songs from the 80's to today. Their recent album, Rethroned, had a pretty good cover of "Take on Me", as well as "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Kiss From a Rose" and "I Did it My Way".

The girlfriend's mom got me the new EXTREME EDITION of Street Fighter on DVD for Valentine's Day. My girlfriend has never seen it, so we watched it tonight to give us something to laugh at. The film is just as bad as I remember, but it's at least bad to the point that you can laugh at it. It also features 2 of the most worthless SPECIAL FEATURES since the introduction of DVD Special Features. Street Fighter II Footage, and Street Fighter The Movie: The Game footage. In both of these, you get generic background music, no other sound effects, and watch a person playing as Guile have a crappy "fight" against someone playing as Bison.
