    Christians theme?

Metalingus is indeed on Alter Bridge's current CD, "One Day Remains". Though, the version the WWE uses has the chorus before the first verse, so the Alter Bridge disc version is different in that aspect.

    WWE and it's trademarks

My question is simple. When a wrestler is let go by WWE, if they are wrestling by a name other than their real name, should WWE let them retain the rights to that name? For example, who would go see a show featuring Monty Sopp (Billy Gunn), or Andrew Martin(Test)? These wrestlers still have families to provide for, and one would think it would be harder to earn a living when wrestling by your lesser-known real name, than by your better-known, in-ring name. Any other thoughts on this?

Benoit isn't his birth name? Thats news to me.

That would really suck to have Satan...er...Vince McMahon own the rights to your BIRTH NAME. I hope it isnt true about Benoit.

Recently got "Death of WCW" book

I finally got hold of the book at the Augusta Borders this evening. I've gotten through the first chapter. I may have read incorrectly, but according to the book, the WCW World Title that the company gave to Lex Luger, (and that was defended before they went back to the "Big Gold") was the old Western Heritage Heavyweight Championship with the WCW logo GLUED to the belt.

Who do you want to see get a title shot?

I want to see the title put on Raven above all others. I think of all the people that Jarrett squashed during his face run as TNA's "Dragon Slayer", Raven got the shittiest end of the stick. Jarrett took the finisher of nearly every heel in TNA at the time, and 3 Raven Effects, and still didnt job to Raven. I was glad the TNA crowd shit all over the finish by throwing trash into the ring. Though, at this pojnt, I am ready for almost anyone to take the title from Jarrett. I would settle for Brown, or Raven.

    Benoit in WCW

If they are going to acknowledge this as a title change, then they should acknowledge RVD winning the Undisputed title from Undertaker in late Spring, 2002, on RAW. The match was almost immediately restarted because Takers foot was on the ropes, but they still announced "NEW WORLD CHAMPION, ROB VAN DAM!"

Recently got "Death of WCW" book

The Borders in Augusta, GA pissed me off. I went there this past week to get the book, which they had 2 copies left of. I attempted to buy one for myself only to find that their only 2 copies were in the possession of, and being read by store employees. Anyways, is it true that in 2000, WCW had 230+ wrestlers under contract and flew every single one of them into their tv tapings every week?

Suprising moves that a wrestler has used.

I agree, that spinning heel kick that Big Vis is using is fucking impressive for a guy of his size.

    Dragonball Z Budokai 3

I picked up this game the other day, and it has become the greatest time-waster I've bought in a long time. Atari took everything that sucked in the first 2 games and finally got it right. The controls are flawless, and the cell-shaded graphics look really nice. The in-game graphics really look like you are watching the tv-show. The planet-destroying death moves are pretty sweet as well. The world-tournament mode is still pretty cheap, but the rest of the game is great. Has anyone else picked this up yet?

Rock and HHH to compete for same role

I couldn't buy the Rock as He-Man. Call me a racist if you want, but He-Man was always a big blonde white guy, and out of the two, HHH fits the role the best. The Rock is hands down a better actor, but HHH LOOKS the role, and I would rather see it go to him. Only question is who would play Prince Adam? Would they have he and He-Man be the same size like in the original cartoon, or cast a short, skinny guy to be Adam?

    Dragonball Z Budokai 3

One of my favorite things about the game was playing Brolly's Dragon Universe. His lines made me crack up a lot. Its almost like he's just a big idiot. He responds to everything with "Kakkarot! HAHAHAHA! Kakkarot!". When I found a Dragonball while playing as him, his response was "ARGH! HAHAHA! Kakkarot!" Maybe it's just that I was playing the game at 3 am and was pretty tired, but I thought that was funny as hell.
  13. I'm begging for WWE to give Kevin Fertig's, Mordecai gimmick another chance. I liked his look, and his entrance was pretty sweet. For him to have been nervous about performing, I never found his matches to be too dull. I would also like to see Johnnny Nitro return to RAW. If WWE would let him use some of his acrobatic moves that he used during Tough Enough, I think he could get really over. Even moreso than when he played the dick-heel personal assistant to Bischoff.

    Why the fuck can't a find a PS2?

I'm having the same problem with the DS. The week after it launched, every store within 50 miles had no less than 25 of them, and now they are nowhere to be found. The Gamecube is the easiest-to-find system around this area. I work at Radio Shack and we cant even begin to sell them. I have Metroid Prime Echoes on Demo at our store, and still cant get people to give it a second look. Looks like the PS2 is the end-all, be-all system for this Holiday. Even pre-owned systems are gone from every game shop around here.

Confirming Follow up to my earlier thread

I would pair Steamboat with Paul London. Paul reminds me a lot of Steamboat from his earlier days, and I think they would fit together nicely.

    Best And Worst Comic Stories

Am I the only person who thought the entire Onslaught storyline from the mid 90's kicked all sorts of ass? Juggernaut finding out Onslaught was Xavier, and discovering it was Onslaught that killed off the X-Men in Bishop's Future, and not Gambit sent chills down my spine the first time I read the story. I also loved the Age of Apocalypse, as well as the Apocalypse storyline from the late 90's Wolverine being "killed", then the real Wolverine becoming Death, and Cyclops being killed off for a bit I give the close saga my nod for worst story ever.

    Best Singles of 2004

Social Distortion is still around?!?!?!? Our shitty local rock station hasn't played anything by them since, "I was Wrong". I'll have to look for some of their more recent material. I tend to like songs that the majority of people hate, so my top picks of the year are: Word Up and Brick in the Wall - Korn So Cold - Breaking Benjamin My Immortal - Evanescense

tell me about the band Crowbar........

I saw a video of theirs on Beavis and Butthead the other night on MTV2. Im not sure of the song title, but the first line was "I GAVE MY HEART AND SOUL TO YOU!!!!!!!!". Beavis then added "He gave his heart and soul to some chick? That mustve been at least 50 pounds of meat" (the singer is, or at least was, quite a hefty guy). The song wasnt too bad though. Butthead then described the song as "slow and fat".

Funaki's boyhood dream has been realized

Definitely glad to see it. I think this was more of a "thank you" to Funaki from WWE for all the years of jobbing he has done. I hope they let him utilize some of these flashy moves you say he has (I've never seen him wrestle outside of WWE).

WWE to promote an ECW Reunion PPV

Does anyone think that they would acknowledge Rhyno as the ECW World and Television Champion since he technically never lost either title? Would they bring in Doring and Roadkill (I think they were the last tag champs but I may be wrong) for a one-off as the Tag Champions?

    Possible Jesus Injury

I noticed Jesus's injury last night at the Smackdown tapings. He did a good job masking it on camera, but as he, Carlito, Akio, and London were getting in their van, he was limping very heavily.

    Smackdown and Velocity spoilers

I was there last night. The show was GREAT from the beginning to the end. Lodi got all sort of heat. He's put on a lot of mass since his WCW days, and has shaved his head. The local guy did an "Akio-sell" on the spike DDT from Lodi, taking it full force, on top of his head. Pretty sick. The women's match was nothing to brag about. The CW Anderson and Spike match was pretty damn good. We were all pretty happy to see Funaki get the win in the battle royal. Just wait until you see his celebration after winning, jumping into the arms of the ref, and jumping all over the place. The Tough Enough segment was a best 2 or 3 between Miz and Puder, in a jousting match on an inflated mat in the ring. Puder won 2-0. The main event was really pretty good. Undertaker didn't come into the ring until the close to the end, but it blew the roof off the place when he finally got the tag. I hope the show comes across as well on TV as it did live. On a side note, even though Heidenreich was shown in a segment from a mental ward, we saw him out back leaving the arena. Carlito Cool, Jesus, Akio, and Paul London all left in the same minivan together, and were extremely nice to the fans. RVD was driven away by an older guy in a white pickup truck. He had the guy stop the truck in the middle of the highway so he could shake hands with the fans. Very cool of RVD to do that. Puder and Miz were pretty nice as well. They left with Al Snow. Excellent show, and I cant wait until they come back again.

    2005 WWE PPV schedule

For God's sake, lets have a PPV from the Augusta Civic Center in Georgia. Im sure WWE would love to hold a PPV in it's 6,000+ capacity splendor. The last TV taping we had there was a WCW Nitro in November 2000. It was moved to Augusta about 2 weeks before the tapings, because WCW, at the time, still thought they could sell out the Georgia Dome. So, come on WWE! Lets see unforgiven 2005 LIVE from Augusta, GA!
  25. I seriously thought Lita was dead after landing on her FACE after the suicide plancha. That was scary as fuck.
