I have everything in this update, but still no roundtable. I rewatched the Rock-Foley I quit match and man those were sick chairshots. Michael Cole was awful on commentary, thank God Jim Ross was feeding him lines. The Nitro from the last update was before a Clash of the Champiobns, did Benoit and Sullivan had another wild brawl like they had on Nitro ? It wasn't very WCW-like, with their family friendly policy and all, to have them fight in a crowd of drunken idiots. There was so much chaos that no one in the crowd let the camera crew and Woman pass through. She had to hit people with her shoe and you could hear her yell "Move Goddamnit !" on screen. Wild.

The only new shows I have this week are Prime Time and ECW, no Judgement Day or the roundtable. That's the first time since I suscbribed that I didn't have a full update. Another problem I had was at the end of April, my cable company took off all the shows except ECW on a Monday, which made me miss Armageddon. By what I've read in this thread, it seems that everybody had a problem with 24#7 at one point or another.

Too Cold Scorpio released according to WWE.com. Oddly enough, it says the article was written on May 12th, which is tomorrow. Have they ever used him at all ? Even on a house show ?

Are you talking about that old Nintendo sticker book that had Super Mario Bros./Legend of Zelda in it. The one that used the old 3D-glasses style magnifier? I had one of those things when I was younger. I remember the game in the middle of the book where you flipped a coin, I was one or two sticker short of completing the game. It also had a Legend of Zelda labyrinth at the end. I may still have with along with my old Nintendo Powers.... The old NPs, the Wizard movie, all the Super Mario Bros. marchandising, Pac-Man cereal.....man, the NES days were awesome.

Karate Kid II - Screw Daniel Larusso, as Ripper said, he's only good at getting his ass kicked. I also like Chozen and Sato, even though the latter always yells like he's about to shit a brick instead of talking. As much as I try to like KKIII, I can't. Crocodile Dundee II - More of an action movie instead of a comedy like the original but I still like it. Interview with the Vampire - I remember people knocking on this movie when I was younger but I found it to be great. Falling Down - " I don't want lunch, I want breakfast." Lock-up - Underrated Stallone flick. Police Academy 5 - As lame as the PA sequels are, I don't know why the 5th is always the one who get knocked on, beside PA 7. Rocky V - It's still my worst or second-to-worst movie in the Rocky series, depending on how I'm feeling on Rocky IV, but I don't think it's as awful as people think. It takes back the series to its roots (though it doesn't quite make it), it has a better story and better characters than part IV. However, it doesn't have the killer 80's soundtrack. The River Wild - It's an action film...with Meryl Streep....and I marked out for it. I'll also add any of the late-80's early-90's Columbo TV movies, those ruled.

I had a problem during Backlash : when Coach and Lawler talks about the 6-man tag following an interview from HHH/Flair/Jericho, it cuts Lawler mid-sentence and goes straight to the end of Cena's rap. For the rest of the show, the audio isn't synchronised with the video. Anybody had the same problem ?

Oddly enough, they also edited Goldberg's music with his WWE theme. The PPV had Russo written all over it, how many Jarrett/Creative Control interferences did it have during the show ? Four ? Five ?

Vince's head looks small without his hair. If he ever wrestles in his tanktop with his bald head, he'll look like the shrunken head guy from Beetlejuice. Taker-Batista should have closed, they had thier working boots tonight. The Cena-Michaels match was only good till the 2nd half, why spend 10 minutes working on the leg if it's only going to get ignored ? It was a repeat of last year match, only with less Cena hate. Does the Hulk Hogan anthology have the Summerslam match where Michaels oversells everything Hogan does ? I've seen clips of the match but I had no interest in buying either DVD. Did anybody watched the roundtable about the Iron Sheik ? They could do a weekly 30-minute program with nothing but Sheik stories and clips in it and that'd be worth the monthly fee all by itself.

It's the 20th anniversary of Wrestlemania III, they brought back Aretha Franklin and they have the show in huge stadium in Detroit. They also wanted to do a tribute to Hogan/Andre with Hogan vs Show or Khali. Since the wrestlers will have to walk halfway through the stadium to get to the ring, they should bring back the old ring carts, that would be awesome. Everyone should use them, except for Taker since he always has a special entrance for Wrestlemania.

In the Austin vs Michaels match, Howard Finkel's announcement of the "World Wrestling Federation referee" banning HHH and Chyna from ringside is obviously overdubbed, are there many cases like this ? It's nice seeing the old Raw and Nitro shows again. I remember being genuinely concerned about Bart injuring Billy during their match (it was during my young mark days) and man, did Hogan always got his ass kissed real good in all of the Nitros. December to Dismember, apart from the opener, sucked. I expected to kind a "so good it's bad" type of show, but it was just boring. The old Boston show was good though, I loved the old 80's tag division.

I'm getting digital cable and WWE 24/7 soon. I know it's an "on demand" channel but for how long are the shows availlable ? In the last few pages of the thread, there was talk about Wrestlemania V or December to Dismember, are these shows still on ? The Monday Night Wars are around the end of 1996 (that was the reason for me to get 24/7, to see 1997 all over again), but do the shows change every week ? Are you also harrassed by constant WWE advertising ? Like an ad for the next PPV or Cena marchandise or the "Don't try this at home" clip like they use on the DVDs ? I know there some audio edits like some entrance themes, blurring the WWF scratch logo, the WW_ silences, but do they keep Ventura's commentary intact ?

I finished last night Valkyrie Profile after beginning it in November and putting more than 55 hours into it.......only to have a lousy ending that didn't even lasted two lousy minutes. RPGs should all have solid, well-devellopped endings. They're the kind of genre that are the most time-consuming, you should at least get something for all the time you put into it. Just like Knights of the Old Republic : fantastic game but with the most basic ending ever. Any games with endings that left you on your appetite, saying to yourself "That's it ?!" once the credits rolled ? I remember Deus Ex being disappointing : three possible endings that only are 30-seconds clips.

I've never heard of vgcharts.org before ......how the hell is Frogger for PS the 22nd best selling game of all-time in America ?

I finished last night Metal Gear Solid 2 : Substance. Many people criticized the game when it came out, but it wasn't that bad of a game. Sure, we don't play as Snake but he's still the main character in the game. Save for the parts with Rose, I didn't even minded Raiden. The overall story was good, except for the ending which was too preachy for my tastes. The game, while not the masterpiece the original MSG was, still has its moments. Who can hate the parts inside Arsenal ? The Colonel goes crazy, you have the sword and kick ass with Snake, the game screws with you a la Eternal Darkness and it has the best exchange ever in a cutscene : "If you run out of munitions, you can have mine" "Will you have enough ?" "Absolutely.... *points to bandanna* Unlimited ammo." I'm surprised the PS2 version goes for quite a price online, when you can have Sons of Liberty for not even five bucks.

There's the "Silverspoon motherfucker" comment from the Rock regarding Shane McMahon from late summer 2001 I think. I love it too when announcers cover up audible spot-callings as "trash-talk"

Alterning between Valkyrie Profile, Guitar Hero 2, Mercenaries and MGS : Substance. I have RPGs that I've bought ages ago, like TOS, KOTOR 2, DWVIII and Paper Mario : TYD, but it now takes me forever to finish a game. I started VP 3 or 4 months ago and had just began the 2nd disc. There are also plenty of games from 2004-2006 that are on my buying list, but don't know when or if I'm going to be able to play them. Looks like I won't buy a next-gen system any time soon.

What about the rumors for an 80's version of Guitar Hero, are they true ?

There have been some complaints earlier in the thread about the fact that Hogan will get the rub from being the one who'll slam Khali. Why should it surprise anyone ? Hogan's only interests were about him looking better than anyone else. Shortly after Summerslam 2005, where Shawn Michaels complained about the feud, oversold everything in the match and afterwards made remarks about Hogan's quickness and agility, I remember reading an interview with Hogan that basically said that Michaels shouldn't whine about the match because they were spots where Michaels had the upper hand on Hogan. Since in his mind, he's the greatest wrestler of all time, he gave Michaels a rub. So since he's the only one alive to ever slammed the 700-pounds Giant over his head, it only seems fitting that he tears up all the muscles on the left side of his body again to slam Khali.

I'm surprised to see them continuing the Bellick-in-prison storyline. The last shot we've seen of him before the Christmas break, with Avocado saying "Welcome Home Boss" could have concluded his story. He's gonna look like absolute hell next week, the other guy is gigantic. I'd like to see Sara's reaction when Michael is going to meet up with her along with Kellerman.

Is anyone else having problem visiting IMDB.com ? Whenever I try to go there, the page takes forever to load, it's been like that for a week.
