A third year without a HHH title run, who would have guessed ? Will he still be able to go at the same pace when he'll return ? This is a man who tored both of his quadriceps and will be pushing 40 years old. When he came back in 2002, everyone thought he was a shell of his former self compared to his '99-'01 run. How bad could he be this time ? He better take all the time he needs to heal because wrestlers' bodies don't get better as time goes by.

I liked the movie, didn't find it as good as the original, but then again the original is one of my favorite movies ever. I liked the numerous references and music of the old Rocky universe, where he's a guy from the street and not the multi-millionnaire of III and IV. I wished it was longer though, with maybe another training montage, it went to the match too quickly. Dixon's character should have been more developped, he wwas as generic as Union Kane in Rocky V and doesn't stand out like Apollo, Clubber or Drago. I place it maybe second or third in the series.

I nominate the 4 Horsemen theme song, the mid-90's version with Benoit and Malenko. That song is just bad ass. Two themes I didn't see nominated are the ECW theme and Jake The Snake Roberts.

Everyone knows that stipulations in wrestling, whether it's retirements or to "forever" not being able to have a shot at a title, don't mean jack. However, there must be a few cases where the stipulation held up. One I have in mind is the Goldberg vs Luger/Bagwell in 2001 where Goldberg lost and was never seen again in WCW. Even though he would have been back if WCW wasn't sold, we haven't seen him for the following final months. Gimmick matches, like hair vs hair, don't count.

I say it's either a swerve, like someone dies but really doesn't or it's a lame death, like DL. He have Kitty Pride-like powers, so he can be considerated a "Hero" even if he's not a major character.

I sorta guessed either Kellerman or Mahone was gonna turn on the other, but I didn't think there were gonna do a face turn with Kellerman. He could have wanted all the glory of capturing the brothers and redeem himself to Smilin' Asian Dude but he was going to eat a bullet anyway, so hooray for Kellerman. Sucks for Mahone and Bellick though.

I still have Tecmo World Wrestling for the NES. I also remember Pro Wrestling with Starman and Kin Korn Karn and the nameless tag-team wrestling game with the Ricky Fighters vs the Strong Bads. I spent tons of time playing Royal Rumble and Raw for the Genesis, making my own stupid storylines. Raw actually gave me a blister from so much button-mashing. WCW/nWo World Tour was awesome, so was Revenge. IMO, No Mercy still is the last great wrestling game. The Smackdowns are too arcadey and delivers the same stuff year after year, with little-to-no improvement.

There have been many reports on the news today about the launch (and really, the only times videogames are in the news, it's during a launch) and crazy stories about people fighting in line or getting robbed. There was even a shooting somewhere. It's totally insane to spend that much time in line for a console and it's even more retarded if you make that kind of trouble just to jump over the people who spent hours in line. It's even more hilarious since there are already problems with a few console and PS3 are selling for less on eBay than the 360 did at launch. Is it so hard to wait a few more months and be sure to have a quality system and more games to choose from ?

According to the preview, there's only two episodes left. This must be only an hiatus just like last year, where T-Bag threatened Michael when the first attempt to escape didn't worked. I can't imagine ending the season right away. Mahone will kill at least someone in the desert, probably the father.

So, regardless of how many bridges he burned with Vince, saying that he lost respect and love for his job two or three years ago, that he wouldn't go back because he wants to "make" TNA and work there for 30 years, he would still do the Hall of Fame ? Bret did it, but that was because of the "Screwed" DVD threat and he wanted to protect his legacy. Would Angle still want to do the HoF even with a"Rise and fall of Kurt Angle" compilation where everyone badmouth him ?

On the "See No Evil" DVD, there will be a commentary track by KANE~! They got to do it in kayfabe.

The release date is October 31st ? I thought it was maybe October 17th or 24th since I went to my local Wal-Mart last Friday and they had a bunch of them. No special editions though.

There are great selections in there, like the long-awaited Austin and Horsemen DVDs. Great Families, Ladder and Mysterio are on the "wait and see" list. I don't want the Families set to turn out like the Greatest managers DVD, or the Ladder and Mysterio discs to have plenty of duplicates in them. And how in the hell does ECW : Sci-Fi era and DX 2006 deserve to have multi-discs DVDs ? A DX anthology would make sense if they recapped all of their incarnations, but 3 discs of dick jokes, "comedy" and asses ? Fuck, I'd rather get the 2004 diva search DVD instead.

As for the "ECW low ratings are due to the lack of WWE identity", you just know it's all BS. That kind of excuse is used a lot and is its now a typical reaction from WWE : the problem is never because of the quality of the programs, it's the fans 'cause they're too dumb. How did the ratings dropped from the first show to the second one ? A full point ? Well, that's clearly because fans were expecting a WWE-style show and not the vintage ECW style in which the first show was presented.

They did the "newcomer" thing for Harley Race, even though he was a multi-time champion. Everytime the crowd is silent "because they're in shock". Crowd being half and half at Wrestlemania 18. The kids are loving the Gobbledy Gooker. When your hear wrestlers calling spots, but they're really "talking trash" to each other.

Any guesses on how high this is going to go up to ? I'd say for about ~$800. How much did the all-sealed Legend of Zelda package from a few years back went ?

He always made more money from the stock market than he ever did in wrestling. Playing the market is more profitable than being a color commentator. His wrestling career was over anyway, he only decided to persue another one. At least he knew when to fade out of the business, instead of hanging there way past his time. Good luck to him.

More news from TGS, it appears that PS3 will also have a "virtual console". In addition to PS1 and PS2 titles, there's also a possibility of having Genesis and Turbografix games. There goes all the crazy eBay prices on old PS1 RPGs.

Two thoughts from last night : - Having never seen The Miz, only heard of him, I have to say that he's the most annoying no-talent piece of shit that WWE tried to push in the last 10 years. Seriously, he walks and acts like he has an eel stuck up his ass. - The only reactions I've heard in a live show that beat Grenier's was when Austin came back in 2003 and the Bret Hart tease last year. He had a bigger pop than Hogan ever had in Montreal.
