Thanks guys, much appreciated. I wouldn't mind doing a Puro review in the next little while. I've been on hiatus for quite a few months now and doing another writer up wouldn't be a bad idea. In any case, I hope the guy looking for information on Super Lyger was helped out if only a bit.

01/04/1997 Tokyo Dome Show Review What? So it's a cheap plug? He wanted to know about Super Lyger and I wrote about it so there. God there's some fucking tripe on this show.

I saw a repeat of the episode where Warren creates this amazingly hot brunette robot obsessed with him. I'm sure the Buffy fans know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I'd like to know who this actress was (I didn't see the start so no credits) and if she's done anything significant (or anything at all) since that episode.

I find it interesting that Toryumon has no involvement in this tournament. Who is running the day to day operations for this group? With so many companies involved, I don't understand why they don't run a two day event like they did for Super J Cup 2000. Personally I could see them running a 32 man bracket or even 24 with eight byes easily with that kind of involvement. A 32 man bracket would be a far greater draw than 16 not only because of the sheer size of the event but because of the large diversity of workers. My pick to win is Naomichi Marufuji.

Excuse me while I go online and play in a tournament. HAHA!
-
Oh stop bitching Ted. You'd have taken that file off me if you weren't on a Mac. Anyway; if anyone wants to play on Kaillera then drop me a line on MSN or AIM (my info is in my profile) and we'll play a round or ten. SvC online tournament in 40 minutes. IT'S GO TIME!

I hate to break it to you guys but unless you're diehard KOF fans I can't recommend getting any of the KOF2K? games. I have them all on DC right up to 2K2, which was released in July and never got into any of them. They just don't seem very much fun.

I thought it was the worst major film this year. I'll give my thoughts in spoiler form. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I just got back a few minutes ago and I would definitely give this film thumbs down. It was probably the most disappointing major film I've seen this year and maybe more. Dialogue: Easily the worst stuff in the movie. I have never heard such terrible acting in my life. The first movie worked because the actors were limited to their strengths (Reeves was kept simple and astounded, Fishburne had a few profound lines, Trinity was kept simple in her desire to see Neo safe and gets in the bit of emotion at the end). This was the total opposite. They should NEVER let Reeves try to act. He's a terrible actor and will always be as such. The best actor in the film is Fishburne and they totally wasted his talents. The rest of the characters spew such horrible dribble that it forced a few people to walk out on the film and others to start making cracks about how stupid it was. Who? What? Why?: Was there even a point to introducing characters in Reloaded and Revolutions just to do nothing with them? The Frenchman (pardon my lack of remember his name) was very intriguing and they did nothing with him. Seraph the great fighter is... what? Smith shows up and was he infected? Was he set free with the girl? The Architect shows up at the end but where was he before? Who's this random captain they just threw into the ass kicking role? Is the machine at the end the king of machines? Loose ends everywhere. The final battle: What in the blue hell was this? All it was missing was the Kame Hame Ha Wave and you could stamp it DBZ Live Action Movie and move on. I know the Wackowskis are influenced by Anime but this was ridiculous. The crazy flying, the big plunge into the pavement, Smith busting out of the cement. At least you know if they make a DBZ movie the fights will be possible to pull off. Neo = Jesus: Wow this will piss off a lot of people. Neo is Christ and Smith is... The Devil? The Anti Christ? When you're done reading the DBZ Manga, sit down with The New Testament. I'll give them credit for one thing. They did the special effects and animation for the Zion Battle really well. I don't even want to think about what that took to create. Absolutely marvelous stuff there. Aside from that though, this film was a disappointment. It wasn't close to the great movie the first one was and it's not even as good an action movie as Reloaded. I suggest avoiding it at all costs unless someone else is paying for it and you're willing to put your brain on auto pilot for two hours. The best acting was from the stuntman in the commercial before the movie asking you not to steal flicks on the internet.

Never doubt the power of teenagers. I went to see this flick with some buddies and it was sold out on three screens in one theater. We drive across town to another theater and got four "few remaining seats" aka front row while the other three screens were all sold out. Of course it was a horrible movie and an even worse experience because of all the teeny boppers who wouldn't shut up. I think I'm only going to see boring shit or R Rated films from this point forward.

Nero may well be the most easily cracked program on the net. Just get Ultra Edition 6.0.0.19 (I think that's the latest one) and hit any common serial/crack site for a crack. As soon as I saw the title of this thread I was like "whoa, that is friggen old."

Recently I've been having a problem where a file that's supposed to be say between 45 - 60 minutes long is being ended in 3 minutes by all my video players. If I direct the footage to a certain point then it plays from the proper point but the playback (not actual viewing) is accelerated at a huge rate. What could I have done to create this situation and how do I rectify it? Any help would be appreciated.

BUMP THAT SHIT! So I got a new computer and it worked fine for a while and now my video files are doing the same thing. A file that should be 20 minutes to an hour is being played in like 3 minutes. It's not like it's in Fast Forward or anything, it just plays 3 minutes of footage and then stops (scroll bar moves as if the file should only be three minutes). Someone must know how to fix this. PLEASE HELP! SO MUCH STUFF TO WATCH!

Tajiri vs Rey Misterio = *** Benoit vs A Train = **1/2 Gowen vs Hardy = ** Basham Brothers vs APA = *1/4 McMahon vs McMahon = *3/4 Angle vs Cena = ***1/2 Guerrero vs Show = **1/2 Undertaker vs Lesnar = ***1/4 Overall a rock solid show and worth renting when it comes out on DVD later on this year.

Hmm... I'm surprised they haven't released Saved By The Bell on DVD by now. you could probably cram the first couple of seasons into a box set without a problem. I may be off here but did they ever release Power Rangers (starting from the old stuff) on DVD box sets? I noticed that Ninja Storm DVD and wondered if I missed something. That show was so ghetto and yet so good.

Sorry, I should have clarified that "Headmasters" would need subtitles and not "Rebirth." I already own both seasons but having them on DVD would be nice. I'm curious to know how Rebirth can be considered an entire season considering it's only three episodes though. Also, one hopes for a subtitled version of Headmasters. If the dubbed version is anything like the dubbed version of Transformers: Masterforce then I'll kill myself. Those English dubbed (I think in Hong Kong) versions of Headmasters, Master Force and Victory are horrible and should never be allowed to reach the general populace.
-
Does anyone know if there are plans to put "Rebirth" and "Headmasters" in DVD format with subtitles? I own Headmasters on VHS and it's probably the single best Transformers season ever conceived.

I'd beg to differ. While I enjoy both flicks immensely, Lost in Translation didn't leave me with that "WOW" element when it was all said and done. I was able to know (at that time) that Lost in Translation was the best film I'd seein in 2003 but it was more because I couldn't think of any of film that left me as satisfied (the torch bearer being Matrix Reloaded before that). Kill Bill was completely different. This movie not only left me satisfied at the end, it managed to make me think "this is great" more times than I can count during the actual movie. It's not just a matter of new shock stimuli that was keeping me going, there were so many elements to the flick like the tribute pieces I brought up in a previous post and that fantastic score (that has got to win some kind of award) that kept me hooked right from the get go. I can only suspect that Lost In Translation may be something that will age better than Kill Bill over the years because the second viewing of each will reap completley countering results (I havne't watched Kill Bill a second time but I'll be interested to read people's 2nd impression thoughts because the shock value will be gone). In the meantime, I stand by my thoughts that Kill Bill was the best movie of 2003.

This was easily the best movie I've seen this year and may well be the best flick I've seen in a couple of years. There were so many great elements to this movie outside of the obvious that every time I think about it I gain a new admiration for it. It was really the little things that put this over the top for me (PARTIAL SPOILERS): Spoiler (Highlight to Read): - First fight scene with the overuse of course language as a throwback to all those late 70's early 80's action movies that swore for no other reason than two swear. - Hattori Hanzo being given a role considering he is one of the pioneers of Japanese Action Film (his name eludes me right now, sorry) - The overuse of blood as a direct homage to Japanese Anime/Manga (anyone notice there's no super blood until after the anime sequence with the insane blood?) - The Bruce Lee tribute with the motorcycle outfit. - The absolute non sensical descrepencies done on purpose (sword on a plane? buying plane tickets with no money?) Those are just a few things that I loved. There were tons more but I'm late for work. If you haven't seen this movie yet, do so. You won't be disappointed.

Heh... you're thanking the wrong guy. I gave the reigns to Rolling Germans to Mike "Black Tiger" Campbell two months ago (if not longer) and he's the guy bringing in the talent. What a load of shit. The guy knew his shit in Puro and Indy wrestling. He barely touched on threads outside of Indy and Puro (which is why he posted here in the first place) unless goaded into it. Who the hell are you or anyone to say that he didn't want to post here? BTW, he doesn't have to clear his name because he didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Apparently telling someone their goods are being sold illegally isn't wrong. Breaking a rule that doesn't exist on a message board isn't wrong. He was banned unlawfully and should be unbanned.
-
Black Tiger asked me to look at this thread I read pages 1 and whatever the last one was... That being said 1) I'm really disappointed in Damian for either banning or authorizing the ban of Tim Cooke over "ratting" out Jay. That is the biggest load of bullshit I've seen on this board in quite some time. He didn't break any board rules and yet was banned. This coming after the board rules were given a heavier emphasis in just the last few months. It makes me wonder why you have rules at all. It should simply be "We'll do what we want and fuck you otherwise." 2) You plug RF, you take the heat. From what I've been told, that write up was begging Gabe and Rob to do something about it. Even if Tim had ratted you out, who gives a fuck? You plug that shit, you and your buddies got punked. It's just that simple. You think I don't know about shit from RF? I plugged that shit on the biggest indy wrestling site on the Internet. I got legal emails and you know what? WHOOP DEE FUCKING DO! Has Rob ever gone after a single person? You plug their shit, then shit's gonna come down on you. Damian, you know we're buds and I wouldn't try to punk you so don't take this shit personally but try to get your shit together on how the rules work in here. If Tim didn't break a board rule then Tim shouldn' be banned. Plain and simple. If you can remember back when Bower and I were running this shit, the big complaint from the posters was how Scott and Jeremy fucked with the rules as they saw fit. Jay and I didn't run things that way and the board was better off for it. I'd suggest you do the same and keep some cred in this place.

First off, the new Capcom fighter is just an update to ST. I think they're tweaking the graphics and editing some of the gameplay issues (ensuring stuff like two bison j.lk c.lpx2 xx scissors) isn't an instant kill (it's a reset combo because the guy gets dizzy after the first time he's hit with it). 3S may well be one of the greatest fighting games every created. Cast, graphics, gameplay, it has it all. SvC: Chaos is total garbage. They didn't debug the game and the boss characters are OVERLOADED with the most broken shit ever. Don't even get me started on the brokenness of Zero alone.

Whoa whoa, this is way too expensive. I'm up in Canada and after conversion I could easily buy those discs brand new for the same price. You've definitely got to lower your prices. If you drop the prices then I'll probably end up buying Vengeance and No Mercy.
