What's with the hate on Season 4? I mean it had some really slow points (the last 3 or 4 episodes before the finale were just BRUTAL) but otherwise it was a lot of fun (FLASH GORDON BITCHES) and had a solid story to boot. I thought the new intro was pretty cool though I don't know why everyone is portrayed like some model. It's especially creepy with Annette O'Toole, who's supposed to be like an old school mom figure. Kryptonian villains SUCKED! Way to get smacked out in 2 minutes. My first reaction to Marsters was Zod. WTF is Brainiac? Any clue on how Clark gets his powers back?

He had to spend a few months in hospital for head and neck injuries. Otherwise nothing of note.

When did this happen? I don't track the inside news of MMA but the last time I saw Ortiz was when he basically went into business for himself challenging either Liddell or Couture for the LHW Title. What's changed?

T6: The Canadian Fighting Game Championships 2005
Pegasus Kid replied to Pegasus Kid's topic in Video Games
It's five days away. Any canadian players should make sure they attend and any US players with a car and interest in fighting games that isn't overly far away should attend to. No one liked my trailer? -

OAO Raw Thread (6-20-05): Angle v. Some Big Guy
Pegasus Kid replied to AndrewTS's topic in The WWE Folder
Best... baitout... ever. Replaces the night Vince McMahon toasted to Austin when he walked out and then they played his music only to have Eddie come out instead. I loved this segment. -
SmackDown's 1st Draft Lottery Pick is...
Pegasus Kid replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
This is EXACTLY what I theorized after seening Cena on RAW. To all the doubters, this is the only scenario that keeps lineage and manages to elevate a RAW wrestler coming into Smackdown! without hurting anyone else. BET IT! -
I suggest getting MAME 32K v0.64 (generally considered the most stable version out there). There are a bunch of different sites with ROM's, just make sure they're compatable with the Emulator you pick up as some of the newer stuff around (Killer Instinct comes to mind right off the bat) won't work on older Emulators.

The RAW Thread for 05-02-05: Show Comments
Pegasus Kid replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Go out of your way to see Benjamin vs Michaels. That's got to be right up there for best match on RAW 2005. -
If someone makes a "Best Of RAW 2005" compilation, this segment is a definite addition. It was just one of those segments you'll think about at year's end when you think of interviews that really stuck in your mind. Being from Toronto, this crowd reacted exactly like we would have given the same circumstances (though the affiliation with Stratus also helps the matter). Crazy segment, I'll have to D/L it for sure.

I think the best moment was the very end when they did the stereo handstand over the ropes. I couldn't help but keep this goofy smile on my face when that happened.
-
I totally agree with this sentiment. It was obvious from the get go that Leben was going to be a focal point of the show with his loud mouth attitude but with the skills to back it up. At first I wanted this guy off the show so badly but now he's grown on me and I just want to see him destroy someone. It shows a lot of character (and maybe a little too much ego) when you're wlling to throw your challenge and then take on the best fighter of the other group.

They played the full length trailer before Elektra today. BTW Elektra was crap. Thanks...

Well the next chapter in the fighting game saga from Capcom comes out on October 8th and as a big SF fan I'm about as psyched as possible. Where are the fighting fans with their pissing of pants with glee? http://streamingmovies.ign.com/ps2/article...2404_wmvlow.wmv For those of you who may be out of the loop.

Anyanka's a girl? I always figured it was a guy that was obsessed with Anya. Anyway; the game is pretty fun. As per usual, the 2D fans over at SRK are ripping it to shreds and trying to break the engine to find the hidden goodies that'll make this game have lasting power. Did anyone else buy it? Enjoy it?

I picked this game up today (first day of course) and unlocked Pyron. So far it's pretty interesting but nothing blowing me away. First tourney in Toronto is on Friday so we'll see who's got some good stuff. Did anyone else pick this game up?

If you've ever played Marvel vs Capcom 2 and wondered what really high end play is all about check out this video that came out a few days ago between Justin Wong (MvC2 World Champion 4 years running) and Sanford Kelly (argueably the #2 man in all Marvel players). http://www.sf2ae.com/~jetphi/breakpoint_winners_final.zip I'd be interested in thoughts from players both of Marvel and those who don't play to get perspectives from those (at least from what I've seen) that don't play SF on a serious level but may want to.

It's stuff like this why I still play Marvel
Pegasus Kid replied to Pegasus Kid's topic in Video Games
Yeah Lik-Sang fucking smokes you on shipping. At first you think "oooohhh, good price" and then they beat the shit out of you on the shipping. I bought a DC/PS2/Saturn to USB adapter from them about a year ago. The item was $25 but my shipping was like $35. INSANITY! But the adapter is fucking awesome and I can use my MASstick on Kaillera so it worked out. -

Ah... a Real Arcade Pro owner. I'm actually looking into that stick because I can't use my Tekken 4 HORI very well (the right switch is touchy to say the least). Did you find it at a reasonable price? I haven't been able to find one that doesn't totally rape my wallet. -

Pegasus Kid replied to Pegasus Kid's topic in Video Games
I have four actually. A MASStick and an Agetec for my Dreamcast. A HORI and an X-Arcade (dual compatable) for my PS2. The main arcade in Toronto uses Japanese Vs cabinets that's why I have to "stick and ball" sticks in the Agetec and the HORI. The MASStick is the best US style stick on the market. The X-Arcade I just bought from a friend for nearly nothing because he got out of the scene. I don't really use it much. Why do you ask? -

Marvel only really looks complicated but truth be told it's no more complex than any other fighting games. When you de-construct it, you understand why everything works the way it does and it's a snap to read between the lines and break down matches that once looked like they would give you a seizure. The advent of 3rd Strike on PS2 (a true arcade port outside of the extra Aegis Reflect Glithc) seems to have brought about a lot of new players as well. Being in one of the 3S capitals of North America in Toronto, I see a lot of high level play and engage in it myself. How does everyone like 3S? Find it difficult? Do you understand why high level parrying can make the difference in a match up? -

Pegasus Kid replied to Pegasus Kid's topic in Video Games
You know it's interesting, I actually got into Marvel after being wowed by the Team Tournament Finals of North East Championships 3. I didn't understand jack shit about what was going on but man was it flashy stuff and the crowd was nuked. So I started to learn how to play it "the right way" and while I'm nowhere near the level of the top guys in Canada, nevermind in the US, it's still enjoyable and I always work hard to beef my skills up. The Grand Finals are actually being put on a DVD so I don't think they'll be released for free unless someone punks out Jetphi and posts them of their own accord. Vivisectvi; I can only assume you don't play fighting games on a serious level. The vast majority (if not all) of high level SF players watch match, combo and tutorial video's to take their games up a notch. -

Um... why wouldn't you download the file? It's some of the best Marvel footage I've seen this year? Uh... Justin used Magneto/Storm/Psylocke and Sanford used Magneto/Storm/Sentinel and later Sentinel/Storm/Commando.
