Oh, that explains it then. It was a little wierd having a series finale not feel like a series finale. The end where everyone gathered at the table to eat was a nice finish though.

It is wierd how game 1 of the West finals is going to be on earlier than game 1 of the East finals, despite Phoenix being the last team to advance. Anyhow, I think the main problem with Phoenix's lack of depth was almost exploited in game 6. They had Joe Johnson already injured, so Jim Jackson filled in the void to the best of his abilities. Outisde of JJ though, when the game went into the final minutes, their starters got into foul trouble. Amare fouled out, Jackson fouled out and Nash, Richardson and Marion were all in pretty deep foul trouble. If these keeps up in the final moments of a Spurs game, then Walter McCarty, Leonardo Barbosa or Steven Hunter might not be able to do it for them.

I thought it was more ridiculous how many times a person would get there hand chopped off by a light saber. -
Talk about a thin bench. I'm looking at the guys standing around the Phoenix timeout and I don't recognize a single one of them.

Dirk Nowitzki is hella-pissed. I love it!

All Canadians think is Rick Who?
-
Steve Nash shows his MVP instinct, deciding not to call a timeout and instead take it coast to coast and hit a three for the tie to send the game into overtime. When did Canadians get so good at this game?!

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

I saw this movie last night and I have to say I absolutely LOVED it. I went into it, after watching Eps 1 and 2 and not expecting too much, but came out very pleased. The thing I liked most was that for the first time in ths Star Wars movies, I felt emotion for the characters. Order 66 made me totally feel saddened for the jedis and throughout the whole movie, even though I knew Anikin was turning evil, I kept on cheering for him not too. Even in the last fight he had with Obi-Wan and Anikin was left there for dead, I was thinking "No Obi-Wan, finish the job or you'll have hell to pay!" I also watched the Clone Wars cartoon today. They REALLY should have put that stuff in the real movies. Without watching it, some of the stuff in Episode 3 didn't really make sense to me. They should have cut out all the crap in Eps 1 and 2 to fit the stuff that happened in the cartoon into those movies. Stuff like what Palpatine gets kidnapped, how C2PO gets his gold plating, Anikin being knighted, General Grievous killing jedis and Count Douku training him should have been included in. -
Most hard luck player on your favorite team
The Electrifyer replied to LooseCannon25's topic in Sports
He wasn't from my favourite team, but I remember Adam Keefe of the Utah Jazz always being terrible. He'd be the guy who misses open shots, fumbles passes or rebounds and just can't do anything write. Remember when Rip Hamilton dunked the ball and it hit his head, bounced out and didn't counted? Well, I was reading SI For Kids back in the day and I remember reading about how Adam Keefe did that a long time ago as well. The guy just couldn't get anything good done. And even though I hated the Jazz, I always still felt bad for him. -
You guys are basing who you want to win over how obnoxious the PA announcers are? That's preposterous! Alonzo Mourning is obviously the most obnoxious presence in any NBA playoff arena! I hope to never, EVER see him flex his muscles, yell out loud or pump his fists over a tip in or block again. And for that reason: GO PISTONS GO.

Regular LSU student declares for NBA draft

I like the part where his old coach said "he was as good as anybody for two or three minutes." I hope he makes it to the NBDL at least! -
I don't think Shaq is who the next opponent has to worry about. Its the entire Miami roster.

I am very happy for the whole situation. I like Nash, and it's not just the fact that he's Canadian, but also that he's a point guard that makes me happy. What I mainly hope that comes out of this is basketball getting more exposure in Canada. I've never really liked hockey, and basketball has been my favourite sport but it barely got any coverage in the big sport channels like TSN and Sportsnet. I hope this, coupled with the hockey strike give the NBA more of an opportunity to shine in Canada now.

lol... Avery Johnson just got the funniest technical foul ever. BTW, Dampier seriously is the suckiest center in the playoffs right now I think. How he claims to be second best in the league, I have no idea.
-
And Raz, you think the Mavs are gonna beat Phoenix? I think and hope otherwise. San An vs. Phoenix would be a much better match-up to watch.
-
Collison hit the luckiest three of the playoffs. He didn't even jump!
-
Wow... who voted for PJ Brown?
-
Woohoo! I mini scuffle! Something to entertain us with! On the positive side, at least this game will end on time so we can watch Hou/Dal in it's entirety.

Yeah, I like TNT's production a LOT better too. They do a nice job there. The whole Blueprint intro is pretty cool as well. As for the games, I hope Houston and Indiana win. It wont feel like the playoffs if its not Indy vs. Detroit in round 2.

About Cuban and the Mavs, when he wears that shirt "MFFL", what does it stand for?
-
Gordon had a severe cold or something in games 3 and 4. Don't know if that affected him tonight though.
-
They should have had Gordon lighting it up, but I don't know what happened to him. Also, we were missing our leading scorer, Eddy Curry, so he can fill that void. Anyone know how long it takes to recover from an irregular heartbeat? Or is a better question, can you even recover from an irrregular heartbeat?!

Oh well... at least we Bulls fans can celebrate a playoff birth and the first apparent sign of a future in Chicago. But I just want to say Gilbert Arenas is very clutch. Sucks all game, but comes in and kills it in the 4th. I think his block on Hinrich changed the game in Washinton's favour. Gilbert's so good, I want the Bulls to acquire him in the off-season!

YOU'RE CELEBRATING A BULLS LOSS?! WHERE IS MICAH IS TO YELL BLASPHEME?!?!
