Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!
The Electrifyer replied to a topic in Television & Film
Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure he is Canadian. He did host his own show on a Canadian channel. I only saw the first episode of Shmoe 2 last night, did anyone notice they played The Mole music in the pearl necklace ceremony? That was a mark-out moment for me since I love that show. -
Dallas isn't going anywhere with there current lineup. This trade could actually do them some good. Now, they will finally get a big man to compete down low in the West and provide some D when he feels like it (but "when he feels like it" is still better than the defense they currently have). Giving away Jamison and Howard is fine. Marquis Daniels is pretty much the same as or even better than Howard. Jamison hasn't done much that will harm Dallas if he's gone. All the Mav's need to do now is make sure they get Nash back and they have a good chance of improving.

Payton's gonna be back in Lakerland next year. I'm sure LA's just rejoicing now at the good news: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/bask...n.ap/index.html

Why would someone hurt their team like that? What a ninny, I hope that isn't true. You didn't see that? It was one of the funniest/embarassing Laker moments ever.
-
They think Kobe-McGrady wont work, yet they're seeking out Steve Francis from Houston?
-
Those highlights were beautiful.

Everyone underestimated Detroit when they went up against LA. I'm not gonna do it again against the past champions.

I disagree. The results of Kobe's trial will have drastic implications primarily in the sporting world. Its a sports story, and those interested most are sports fans. Besides, one thread is hardly offensive in the grand scheme. What results? If Jayson Williams can get acquitted of murder, Kobe's easily going to be acquitted of rape.

No, and Kimmel didn't flip over his car either.

Good quotes from today's victory celebration in Detroit: Rasheed Wallace: "You my boy, Blue!" Chauncey Billups: "I think Rasheed forgot to say one thing... Both teams played hard." Bill Davidson, Pistons Owner: "Over the last couple of weeks, there's been a lot of bullshit going on in this country. Let me be a little more refined and say misconceptions. Lets start with the 8-to-1 odds on the Lakers to beat the Pistons... bullshit!. Actually, they were lucky to win one game. Next we go to our fans in the arena, absolutely no contest with the LA Lakers. Go into the LA Lakers stadium, you had very sophisticated people who more or less sat on there hands who didn't know, I don't know if they knew what was going on or not going on. Obviously, they expected there team to win easy and didn't know what to do when they didn't. Our fans were the greatest in the country and national TV showed it to be the case. (says something I couldn't comprehend) fans in the arena number 1 without a question. Now lets get to the city of Detroit and you fans here today. Once again, a lot of bullshit as to how you were going to respond in the victory." Edit: There was also a good Tayshaun Prince quote where he was thanking everyone: "Oh yeah, thanks to the 22 teams who had a chance but didn't draft me."

I'm up for that! Orale, as for your post... 1. Riley is president of Miami or something, he's not going to leave. 2. If the Lakers don't want to suck next year, they must keep Shaq. He's LA's offense now. 3. Kobe would be stupid to leave. He can't carry a team, he needs to play with Shaq to win. There is no way will a team win with him being the #1 guy. 4. Agreed 5. Fisher is good and fights to win, he should stay. George's actions seems to me like he expects a title handed to him just because he's on LA. 6. I could see Rush take that role next year, actually.

6'9'' is probably his height with his afro.

If anyone should be aggrivated, it should be the Wizards. They had Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Rip Hamilton at one time or another.
-
Fuck Payton too for that hit right in the face on Richard Hamilton.
-
Who is the third one from the right? Kenny Smith or something?
-
This goes to show that a Kobe promise isn't as good as a Rasheed garuntee.
-
Is anyone else just finding this so unreal? Probably outside of Cena's Writer, I just can't believe this happened. I think I'm dreaming when I'm watching Detroit celebrate with the trophy. Also, Fisher seemed really sad... so sad that it brings a smile to my face.

Wow... Larry Brown is so humble. He just apologized to all the people he traded away. Guess thats a first.
-
WTF... no Laker cried? I feel unsatisfied! J/k... Pistons deserved this and I think I have a new second favourite team.

It's 5:30 now and I am absolutely PUMPED for game 5... I can't wait for it. In other news, that guy who Malone poked has made a challenge to Karl Malone. He is willing to put up $100,000 against Malone to do a lie detector test. If the lie detector proves that the fan spat on Malone, he will pay Malone $100,000. If the lie detector proves that he didn't spit on Malone, than Malone will pay him $100,000. It's most likely not going to happen, but I'd like to see Malone accept this. Oh, BTW... Fuck Malone.
-
Oh my God. Thank God that he didn't commentate game 2.

In the end of the games, Shaq almost never gets the ball for some reason. And when he does, almost all the time someone's there to knock the ball out of his hands or the pass came too late or too early for him to get a good look.

That power forward position for LA has been a disaster. Rasheed, I expect, will own Slava/Malone/Cook. As for doubling Shaq, I don't see Larry Brown doing it. Shaq will be in foul trouble before any of Detroit big men (except Rasheed) will. Detroit did double Shaq on a few possessions early in games and other guys have gotten easy scores. I think Larry Brown recognized this early on, because after the second quarter, its all been man to man on Shaq and its been working great. No point in doubling Shaq now and making it easy for others.
-
Nah, I'm gonna disagree on that one. Outside of game 2, all role players have been shut down. I don't see it changing in game 5, since the Lakers have gotten more and more frustrated. Nobody outside of Shaq and Kobe has scored in double digits this series. The only role player I am worried about possibly stepping it up is Fisher since he seems like the only one on LA who really wants it. With Billups and Hunter hounding him, its still going to take a lot to get a good game out of him though.

They've been dominated because Detroits been playing LA in there style of basketball. LA has never been able to get into there own rhythm except for in a few quarters in this whole series and Detroit has been dictating everything in the other quarters. The score might not show it, but since Detroit is more of a defensive team, they've been dominating with there defense and not allowing LA to play like LA.
