Windstruck's alright, but probably most people are expecting it to be as good as 'My Sassy Girl' (same director and leading lady - Jeon Ji Hyun. mmm... ) Agreed about Breaking News. Never heard of Arahan, though.

^ If that's the case, that is one hell of an improv. Wasn't TD'91 originally a botch spot/improv too? In the case of Kidman, even Danny Basham did that DDT spot once on him. I don't remember the exact date of this one at the moment, but I think it's a tag match during smackdown...at the time Bashams were tag champs.

Royal rumble....2003, I believe....Tommy Dreamer hits Chris Jericho with a kendo stick, and Jericho clearly said "Again!". Of course, the following shot resulted in that huge bloody clot on y2J's forehead.

^ damn, that throwing piledriver just screams danger to me. Anyways, it's the Vertebreaker for me anytime...as even a friend (who hates and view wrestling as fake) marks out for it. Honorable mentions: TD '91, Ganso Bomb, Top Rope DDT....might be others I've forgotten.

I voted for 'Goodfellas' because it is entertaining...even with repeated viewings. Plus I loved the scene in the bar with Liotta & Pesci "...what do you mean I'm funny? What the fuck is so funny about me?" I loved Godfather I & II; as well as The Untouchables too...Kevin Costner's blandness factor may have put it down a notch in my eyes. Just my 0.02 cents.

I always had a soft spot for Saturn's Ring of Saturn...always thought that it it quite simple to apply and painful, too. Other fav submissions: dragon sleeper, dragon clutch, sharpshooter, figure four leglock, regal stretch, brock lock, indian deathlock...and cross armbreaker, I wish this deceptively simple move would be put over more in the States. Count me in as another one who is in the dark about Haas of Pain. Any description would be appreciated. From little that i've seen of Cattle Mutilation (no doubt it looks cool)...seems like it require elaborate amount of setup. I could be wrong here, so apologies in advance. Good topic.

HHH's opponent ~ Chris Benoit Jericho's oppponent ~ Shelton Benjamin Snitsky vs Kane stips ~ Chain Bischoff vs Eugene stips ~ Loser shave head bald Flair vs Orton stips ~ Submission

Any variation of DDT or neckbreaker. Or just use the Rings of Saturn submission finisher. I always like that one...and I think it's not that hard to execute, IMHO.

A dream I had recently... I was having a match with Chris Benoit....match been decent until the finish, where I supposed to put him in a sharpshooter. I kept messing up the move (can't wrap the opponents' legs properly)Benoit's visibly pissed...so I just pinned him. Afterwards, he gave me a super-stiff chop that wakes me up from the dream.

1. Time control 2. Telepath 3. Able to 'photocopy' any other powers

So that's Mark Magnus/Mohammed Hussein. Easy...just grow out his beard, and we're there. Might want to wear some kind of clothing to cover those tattoos, too. Mmm....he could be wearing the Arafat uniform as well. And to please Rudo, curly-pointed boots to cap it off. Voila.
-
Nope...it's a comfy pair of rubber slippers, made in Republic of China. How the hell would I drive wearing curly toed boots? Or play soccer for that matter. ...Probably would make a kick to the nuts more damaging, though....

Hah. I question this...since I'm actually *gasp* a muslim. But by god, that's what WWE would do, I think. mmm...Desert Tiger.....Lion of the Desert.....Sand Scorpion.....argh, whatever.

Perhaps your're right about Chaz in that regard...I'm simply bias because D'Lo used to be entertaining to me (well, long before that ponit, I guess). Lo Down was decent before that...before that talentless Tiger Ali Singh came along. A Tiger Ali Singh and X-Pac tag team would cause the universe to implode. Sorry, just a sick thought of mine.

If there's any need whatsoever for trades, this should be the way to go about it. The only recent example (that I remember) on the 'contract runs out, both brand scramble for superstars' signature' angle was HHH in Vengeance 2002. Most of other trades seems...uneventful. Also, if there's too many trades going on...well, I can see why Rando would be driven crazy by that.

By that logic that'll make him a face in my country....Nah. Probably he did those things to actually get heel heat (that's kinda sad, I guess). Muslims don't really walk around saying 'Praise Allah' and drag along a prayer mat all the time. How do I know this? Because I am a muslim. However, I remember laughing at the Lo Down+Tiger Ali Singh coalition. I mean, you got a Sikh leading the group with two other guys wearing Arab-like clothes (I think so) leading them in a Hindu-like prayer before each match. It's just plain ridiculous. Poor D'Lo.

RIP, Ray. And thanks.

Currently I'm working as illustrator/graphic/web designer for a small internet software company. Brochures, posters, ads, websites, logos, icons, packaging design....these are among the stuff I did in this company. I came from advertising design background, so still learning a lot on the web side of things (I hate programming in any way, shape and form). Being the lone designer, my so-called creative skills is as sharp as a drunken Kevin Nash. I'm just plain unmotivated lately. Thank god for TSM. Plus, I have to contend with bitchy clients too...granted, doesn't really sound that tough at all to you guys, I'm sure. I have utmost respect towards people who can handle problematic clients....err....diplomatically. Yeah.

From what I've seen and heard, Krav Maga's seems to be very practical. IIRC Krav Maga comes from Israel, so no question about its practicality in streetfighting situations. Somebody mentioned about Filipino Arts like Kali and Silat being underrated. Don't know 'bout Kali, but I can vouch for Silat, since I was a former instructor of the art. Silat is bigger in Indonesia and Malaysia (where I'm from) than the Philippines, actually. Silat's pretty much of a mixed bag, really...striking, grappling/joint manipulation, even taichi-like forms/dance. A senior of mine who studied Muay Thai (tough MF'er) incorporate his skills into our silat class, so it's all good.

My Sassy Girl - Yes, another Korean film.

I've seen the first one and it's great. The acting is flawless (esp. Tony Leung) and it has some surprising yet believable plot twists. The action scenes are far in between, but that doesn't matter. Highly recommended movie. IIRC, Tony Leung won Best Actor (in HK...forgot the name of award) for the role in IA1. Infernal Affairs 2 - A prequel...basically shows how the main characters in part 1 became the way they were. Slightly inferior to the first, but a good watch nonetheless. Infernal Affairs 3 - Ties up everything nicely, everyone (even Kelly Chen...mmm...Kelly Chen ) give good performances. Andy Lau's finest hour. -
Would a stint in Evolution help? Orton & Batista seems to be benefiting from it, somehow.

Whooops. You're right. I blame my hectic working hours for blunting my memory. WTF~? There's gonna be a remake for Sassy Girl? With Jennifer Lopez? Is Hollywood running out of ideas? The Ring, Ju-On(the Grudge)...now this? SHIT. BTW, Downhome...you sound like a guy that can appreciate a good movie in any language. Thanks to your previous recommendations, I'm getting my hands on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as well as Memento. I wonder if you've heard of a Hongkong movie called 'Infernal Affairs' (it's a trilogy, actually) which possibly will have a hollywood remake with Brad Pitt in the lead. Infernal Affairs have Tony Leung Chiu-Wai (aka Broken Sword in 'Hero') and Andy Lau as the leads. If you guys love Hero, try looking for 'House of Flying Daggers', Zhang Yimou's most recent work. -

My Sassy Girl. A friend of mine recommended this one to me. And yes, I've got a lot of Jeon Ji-Hyun's pics. *sigh longingly* You might want to check out a previous movie of hers, Downhome...the title escapes me at the moment...but it's a bit like Frequency (Dennis Quaid in the lead, I believe) with a romantic theme. -
I thought the elevator scene is scarier. Oh well. When it first came out, people dismiss it as another Sixth Sense rip-off...which is harsh, IMO. The actress is originally from my country Malaysia (mmm...) but moved to Hong Kong and the rest is history. Almost as good as, if not better than, Dark Water IMHO.

First of all, I bought Quiver recently and enjoyed it immensely, and I've never been a fan/read anything on Green Arrow. Thanks to many people who recommended it on many of the 'must-buy' TPBs thread. What I liked: I loved the interactions between Green Arrow and Batman. My favourite line: When Etrigan attacks Ollie and Batman, he spouted a rhyme-like monologue which ends with the line, "...You are not the archer, Sir; You're merely his quiver." Very cool IMO. The art, story, characters...everything seems to click for me. My question is this: during the time when Phantom Stranger stops Hal/Spectre and Oliver from entering Heaven (IIRC), Hal implying that the Stranger had done something to be demoted as the gatekeeper of That Place(Heaven/Eden/Whatever). What was it?
