I've mostly stopped reading Deadspin since Will Leitch left. Too many updates about things I just don't find that amusing.
-
Has anyone read The Yankee Years yet?
-
EDIT: Nevermind

The OAO TSM "Happy Birthday, you!" Thread
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in No Holds Barred
Parker Bone is 18 years young today. -

That WWE folder has really hardened Venkman. I bet he's smoking two packs a day now.
-
I just wanted to use the phrase "penis-toting weirdo."

You'll never guess my secret identity
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in No Holds Barred
DrVenkman PhD is one of my gimmicks. I use it to start worthless threads in NHB. Not my best work either. -
Is FiveThirtyEight the site run by Nate Silver? I still can't get over the fact that he's doing political analysis now.

Verne Gagne suspected in death investigation
Cheech Tremendous replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I bet once they study his brain, it'll look like that of an 80 year old Alzheimer patient. This is the only one that was amusing. The rest of you are just sad. You didn't like when I called them the original odd couple? For shame alkeiper, for shame. -
Taiga=Coach Jeff Van Gunty EHME=Toryn Abraham

Celtics swap Patrick O'Bryant for Will Soloman. Surely this is the final piece to a second championship. I'm disappointed that Kevin Pritchard held onto the Raef Lafrentz contract. He had the single most valuable trade chip in this market and he sat on his hands. He's been a great GM so far, but I hope he doesn't come down with John Paxson syndrome. Also, Cleveland: why didn't they part with Wally Z? I know they are good enough to win a title as is, but one more more move could have put them over the top. A reliable post scorer or wing could have locked up titles for the next two seasons.

I've been reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower. This is not something I would typically go for, but I've enjoyed it thus far. The whole "anonymous letters" works nicely as storytelling device.
-
That would certainly be something. He'd probably look more alive than Tony LaRussa.

As great as the L eena=Peter word filter is, it's making things really complicated in No Holds Barred. Also, my thread title in said folder is all screwed up because of it.
-
I don't know what any of these things area. Care to explain a little?
-
I like this idea. Let's select a book by the first of March.

All hail Emperor Peter.

This is even worse than when he killed the AWA! -

No word yet on whether or not he used the Crippler Crossface to do him in. -

Well, we are voting on everything else so I figured why not. Spring cleaning comes early at TSM, I guess. I don't think we are asking much to expand the existing comics folder to a discussion of all literature.
-
For those who haven't noticed, there is a Literature folder now on the main page where the old Comics section was located. We're trying to build something from nothing there, so if you are interested stop by and offer suggestions, make threads and add comments.

Brad Miller's good, but I don't see how he makes a big improvement long-term. He could be a missing piece for several teams out there, but in Chicago he's wasted. As for Salmons, I must ask: how many one-dimensional wing players do the Bulls need?

Somewhere along the way I acquired a subscription to Men's Vogue. I think it had something to do with Mrs. Tremendous' subscription to regular Vogue. Anyways, the magazine blew chunks and usually ended up directly in the recycling pile on the way back from the mailbox. Unsurprisingly, it went belly-up and they replaced it with Conde Nast Portfolio, which I have yet to read. Are there any decent music magazines left out there? I've never even tried Spin, but I've heard less-than-great things.
