The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

I'm still waiting for another big match or two. Edge vs. Cena, Triple H vs. Orton, HBK vs. Undertaker, Hardy vs. Hardy and Jericho vs. some legend (hopefully Austin) aren't enough big matches for you? Actually, I was just being a jerk since I don't watch WWE at all. However, based on what you posted, no, I don't think that's a very intriguing card. All five of those matches have been done before. The two title matches, in particular, have been way overdone the last few years to the point that they don't mean anything. Granted, WWE is something that has passed me by, but I miss the days when Mania was something special and unique. This may be the biggest card they can put on, but it's nothing out of the ordinary, at least from my perspective.

    TSM Fantasy Baseball 2009

About 80% of the picks since my last selection were guys that I wanted and was hoping they would fall. No dice.

    TSM Suggestion Box

Good point. I have a tendency to type fast and screw up my thread titles from time to time. There are also situations where the title has nothing to do with whatever we end up talking about. How many times have you avoided a thread for weeks because of the title and then found out there was good discussion going on? It would be great to be able to stay on top of that. Also, I know that the admins each take a part in governing the board, but is there a way that we can get them more closely associated with certain folders? I know to go to Al for Sports or Venk for wrestling, but outside of that it's murky.

Venk's starting to get a little grouchy.

    Does Criticism Belong in Music?

At one time Jay-Z's In My Lifetime had a 5-star rating, but Reasonable Doubt did not. It appears that they have now rectified that mistake. I don't see allmusic as anything other than what it is: a decent reference source. Whether or not you agree with the ratings, the reviews are at least competent and full of information. I don't know where you guys are going to get superior reviews and ratings. The two obvious alternatives, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, are full of their own quirks and biases as well.

    Spring Training 2009

I just skimmed that site quickly, but didn't notice any "best shape of my/his life" quotes. That's usually the go-to expression this time of year. You could make a drinking game out of these Spring Training cliches.

I was faking it. Cheech Tremendous can vouch for me. At the beginning of this ordeal, I PMd him, thinking this was a joke by The DMC saying that I would jokingly suck up to Leena. I was also talking about it in the chat before you came in, CWM. I can't believe people didn't read my posts yesterday and didn't realize they were (poor) attempts at humor. If you want to punish me for it, that's fine. I probably should take a break from boarding. I can vouch for all of this. I still have the PM. Kamala is very right about one thing: it was a poor attempt at humor.

If you are stupid enough to be banned from TSM, you are basically scraping the bottom of life's barrel, aren't you? Seriously, we let just about anything go here and you can't stop yourself from getting kicked out on multiple occassions? How does one even begin to defend someone like that (see also: Leena)? That being said, and against my better judgment, I'll say in, but only on these conditions: no NHB, no chat room, no "fite me poser" shtick and no talking about your beyond-fucked personal life. If you can be enough of an adult to talk half-way intelligently about MMA and whatever else you like, I'm indifferent to your presence.

Any time, it's no secret you never liked me, and I never liked you. Actually, I never said I disliked you; I just thought you were a shitty poster. And what's with you sucking Leena's big e-clit? You weren't ever around when she was here.

What. You know, Dandy is right. I'm not sucking up to you because you bought some piece of shit board that hates you anyways. Suck my dick, bitch.

I knew this was coming. Surely, I never should have doubted you. I'll take my banning like a man. But I do love these proposed changes. Best of luck.

    When TNA closes...

It's been ten plus years since Paul Heyman booked a successful wrestling product. Why would anyone think that he could be a savior in 2009? Would he be an improvement? Probably, but I fail to see how that would translate into any sort of short- or long-term success.
