On a serious note, give it to the Hall of Fame. Why waste the ball on some stupid publicity stunt?

I have no idea what's going on right now.

Paul Heyman officially done with WWE
Cheech Tremendous replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Paul Heyman hasn't really booked anything interesting in a decade. If you're thinking he's going to save the business by going to TNA or starting a new promotion, well, I think you'll be disappointed. -
Mark Ecko is such a douche he makes me feel sorry for Bonds.

What's up with the Eagles offense this year? One touchdown?
-
Don't laugh. Some analyst (name escaping me at the moment) said that Houston would be the most likely destination if Roger decides to pitch next year.
-
All things considered, I'd still want Jason Jennings, but Curt Schilling is the best FA pitcher on the market this offseason. There will probably be more people available through trades than on the free agent market (Garland, Willis, etc.).

Well, people who cry over the Sox losing a series are stupid. Reactionary fans in general are stupid. You don't judge an entire season based on the very last thing that happened.
-
Just pointing out the stupidity in saying a team is done because they start 1-2 (and the two losses coming against good teams).
-
There was that one team who lost to Dallas, Jax, Tennesse and Houston last year. They really sucked, right? What was the name of that team again? I can't even remember how they finished the season. EDIT: Oh, I remember. It was the Colts and they won the fucking Super Bowl!
-
Really? Shouldn't we wait until they're, you know, mathematically eliminated. This is just an asinine statement.

The San Diego Chargers were bound to have a worse record this year just due to regression to the mean. No team in the league has the talent disparity to win 14 games year after year. So, let's say their true talent level is worth 10-12 wins. I figure Norv Turner is just bad enough to cost them a couple of games with his preparation and playcalling. That team might end up with 8 or 9 wins and miss the playoffs.

Fixed.

Our other supposed shitbag, Eric Gagne, in his last 7 appearances: 1.28 ERA 7 hits 7 IP 7 K 1 BB Yeah, the guy is toast.
-
JD Drew's OPS+ now stands at 100. He is a perfectly average hitter. Not the star the Sox thought they were getting. Not worth$14 million either, but he certainly isn't the blackhole that Boston fans think he is. Why they are trying to run this guy out of town, especially with all the personal issues he's gone through this year, is beyond me.

The new ESPN Radio schedule:

She's banged half of the players in the league. She might've picked up a thing or two about the game.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm not naive to what's going on. I work out quite a bit and I know that you don't look like Batista naturally, especially with the schedule these guys run. However, he is subject to the same tests as everyone else and to this point he hasn't failed anything. There is no proof that Batista uses steroids. Yes, in reality, he's probably using an advanced PED that's undetectable, but unless he violates the existing drug policy, they have no grounds to suspend or punish him. I have no sympathy for Booker at all. He knows the game they all play and he still screwed it up. -
Yes, I am overreacting. I'll admit it. It's not that I think we'll miss the playoffs, but it's a total stomach punch to watch this team surrender a five run lead in the eight inning to the motherfucking Yankees. Yeah, I try to be levelheaded most of the time, but a loss is a loss and it still hurts. I totally disagreed with the decision to go to Okajima in the 7th, and I really didn't like sticking with him in 8th. The guy looks tired. He has said in interviews that he is tired. Tito needs to let up on him a bit if he wants him to do anything in the playoffs. They should have let Lopez pitch to Matsui and then gone to Delcarmen or Gagne in the eighth. Just horrible bullpen management.

I want to shoot myself in the face after watching that.

It is overkill. Draft picks are the most valuable commodity that an NFL team working under a salary cap has. Taking away a first round pick is removing a player that could contribute positively for 4 or 5 years at a reasonable salary. That's a harsh punishment, and it's going to hurt the Patriots more than say, suspending Belichick. That $500,000 fine is nothing to sneeze at either. Those are after tax dollars for the coach, essentially making it a $1 million fine, a huge chunk of his annual salary. And before anyone says that the organization will pay it for him, there are strict rules in place (supposedly) to keep teams from doing that.

Why? Wilbon seems more knowledgable on sports than Kornheiser. If I have Lebatard replacing anyone, it's Kornheiser. Kornheiser is just too damn entertaining. He could be completely clueless on everything and I would still watch him. As for Wilbon, I like him okay, but his bias comes though a lot and he can be a race baiter sometimes. He's good in that setting, but I've never been a fan of his print work and and that clouds my opinion of him.

Made a trip to Whole Foods today and picked up some Dogfish Head 60 Minute, Racer 5 IPA, Stone Ruination and Pelican Ale. It's going to be a tasty beer weekend, not to mention Oktoberfest on Saturday night.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Lebetard is great. I'd actually like to see him on the show more. I was thinking of a possible scenario where he replaces Wilbon, but I guess you sort of need him there to play the straight man.
