I don't know how it's possible, but Screamin A Smith is actually worse on the radio than he is on television.

Bonnie Hammer submitting ideas to Vince
Cheech Tremendous replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in The WWE Folder
I think this might have been the time when he had the idea of turning Rock gay. All I remember for sure is he was put in the writing team and his ideas were considered so out of touch that he was removed and made a 'consultant' and sent home/quit all in the space of 24hrs. Didn't he also want to bring back Mankind, Steve Austin, Bret Hart and a bunch of other former stars in as a faction in yet another lame attempt at an invasion angle? -
He's got something like $40 million left on his contract for the next four years.
-
If Pat Riley could find someone to take Antonie Walker (and his contract) he'd place a bow on his head and personally drive him to the airport.
-
Do we need to even ask this question?

F the Yanks, Omar had better read that and realize Santana would look quite nice in Blue and Orange. The Yankees, Red Sox and Mets all have the talent and resources to make a huge deal for Santana and give him the $200 million extension he will want to avoid free agency. The Twins will have an excellent opportunity to trade Santana in the offseason if they choose to do so. Santana is the face of the franchise and in another world as a starting pitcher, but it might be in the best interest of the team to move on. They could have a rotation next year of Liriano, Bonser, Garza, Baker and Slowey before seeing what sort of talent they could get. That's not bad. Throw in two big leaguers and two premium prospects and they might be back in the running for the Central crown.

They had an off day on Monday. Why not just move everyone up in the rotation and slot Schilling back in next week?

WWE General Discussion for August 2007
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
But but but...its not stephanie's and mcmahons fault!!! no sir... If this isn't a motive for finally...fucking finally, taking the belt off of cena I don't know what is though. Because if it was anyone else as champ, it would be done in a heartbeat. Eh, I'm no Cena fan but I don't think you can blame this on him. It's a backlash from the Benoit tragedy. The company needs to make major changes to the presentation of their product or the audience will continue to erode. -
So I haven't been paying attention whatsoever, but is this Who's Now thing supposed to be a joke? Are they treating as though it were a real competition or is it totally tongue-in-cheek?

Why does anyone even care? It's just a logo.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
2.5?! A fucking 2.5?!! That is so awful. That's down to 1995 level of awful. That has to be the worst rating they've had in the last 10 years. Someone better be pressing the panic button in Stamford. -
Jeff Jarrett's WWF Return... the one in 1997
Cheech Tremendous replied to Boxer's topic in General Wrestling
Mecca is exactly right. Steve Austin was extremely pissed at Jarrett for his comments and totally buried him in the process. He was on the short list with Owen Hart as guys Austin refused to work with. I know that Russo intended to put him in the main event on several occassions until to have it shot down by Austin. That's why Jarrett jumped ship the second his contract expired. He saw that he was never going to get a fair shake in the company. -
What was your first Exposure to Wrestling
Cheech Tremendous replied to edgehead69's topic in General Wrestling
Are you totally sure about that? I thought that was just another Keith-ism that has been accepted in the IWC. But, I honestly can't remember one way or the other. Anyone have insight? -
Wrestlers You Like as Wrestlers But Dislike as People?
Cheech Tremendous replied to zappafrank's topic in General Wrestling
He hated WWE. He hated the schedule. He hated being hurt. He hated travelling. He hated being away from his family. Brock Lesnar tried wrestling and it wasn't for him. It wasn't the best time for him to leave, but he gave his notice and did the job on the way out. He was still a kid basically when he was on top of the world in WWE. I don't blame him for burning out and wanting to do something else. -
I haven't seen anyone mention that the Raiders signed Daunte Culpepper. I think this has the potential of being a very good move for the team. It's a low risk, high reward situation.

Melky's got a higher upside than Murphy and he's actually performed at a major league level. There's no question that he's the more desirable player. That's not the point. He's not good enough defensively to play centerfield on a consistent basis and he doesn't have enough power to stick in the corners. Just because he's 22 doesn't mean he's going to magically acquire these skills that's he never shown at any level of his development. Hence, he's a 4th outfielder type. He's good enough to start for a small market team or be a competent bench player for a good one. He can hit alright and handle a few outfield positions. Like David Murphy.
-
Gabbard's a dime a dozen pitcher. He'll have a nice career as 4th or 5th starter somewhere or long man in the pen. But he has no future in the Red Sox organization. With Schilling coming back he heads right back to Pawtucket. Organizationally, he's behind Beckett, Matsuzaka, Schilling, Wakefield, Lester, Buchholz, Bowden and Masterson. They have two other guys just like him in Devern Hansack and David Pauley. Kyle Snyder and Julian Tavarez are both available as spot starters. He's filler and nothing more. He did a nice job when he got called up this year and now he has a shot to make a big league rotation. It's a win-win situation for everybody. And by the way, no one's really talking about David Murphy. He seems more like a fringey 4th outfielder type, but he should be the starting CF in Texas. He will probably put up decent numbers in that ballpark. Like I said in an earlier post, he's essentially Boston's version of Melky Cabrera.
-
Joba's definitely ready for a call-up. For Yankees fans' sake, I hope Joe Torre doesn't use his scorched earth mentality with him like he does with his other relievers.
-
Well Matt Hardy said that there is no drug problem in WWE right now, so that can't be it.
-
Brendan Donnelly is going to have Tommy John surgery. I don't think the Red Sox are that worried about losing him

I tried to shop at Winco once. I swore I would never go back (and I've stuck to it).
-
I like Kenny Williams' thought process- My team sucks and I have the worst farm system in the major leagues. I could sell off a bunch of these vets and rebuild this squad for a future run in an increasingly tough division. Oh, what the hell. Let's re-sign everybody and go for it one more time. Don't stop believin'!!
-
He won't be in the starting rotation on opening day 2008?
-
No they could have had him for Cabrera alone. David Murphy is essentially Melky Cabrera without the NY hype.
