I don't think it's changed anyting. The reports came back with the exact results that were predicted all along. The media is still stuck on steroids and there was nothing here to suggest that the story will change.

It is a different situation though. It's a conduct policy and whether or not Pacman/Henry had any convictions, they were involved with multiple incidents that were deemed inappropriate by the league. Vick is now being implicated, but it is a far more serious crime, and the evidence is far more protected. The feds rarely come out with an indictment unless they have a ton of evidence and a good idea that they can get a conviction. This probably moves along really quickly. I don't think Vick plays a down this year.

He certainly would have had a lengthier IC title reign, that's for sure. He probably would have held it for a good 5-6 months and then dropped it to HBK. I know a lot might not disagree with me, but I don't think he would have been a long term main event guy had he not left. He might have gotten a short run as a main event heel against Bret Hart playing up the whole "I've beaten you before now I want your world title" storyline (Like what actually happened in late '95). I'm not so sure that he would have gotten a long title run. Michaels was originally booked to win the title at Summerslam before they switched venues. DBS, to the best of my knowledge, was never going to be more than a transitional champ to HBK. As for a future world title reign, I highly doubt it. He was good in an upper mid-card face role, but he lacked the versatility to be "the guy."

Why would he be kicking himself? The NFL doesn't need Michael Vick. The policy was put in place to clean up the league and if that means sending Vick off into the sunset, so be it. The question now is do they suspend him for this coming season, or wait until this goes to trial?

With the exception of DX, HHH was probably hurt more by his clique association than anything else. The MSG incident cost him the King of the Ring in 1996 and his subsequent big push that was supposed to come that fall. His association with Michaels in 1997 helped get him over, but it wasn't until Michaels left that he blossomed into a legit main eventer.

I know Rey is a hot issue right now, but would him winning really be a moment that got people talking? In my mind, only a returning superstar like Rock or Jericho or a super-over midcarder like Matt Hardy would be something that would interest people enough to get Alvarez to say that.

Finally saw this movie over the weekend. On one hand it was a really crappy movie with shit writing, plotholes galore, bad pacing and non-existent character development, but the action delivered and it was a fun way to blow a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon.
