He never jobbed once to Hogan. The only clean loss I remember is to Bret, but I know there were a couple of others over the years. -
Damn kids with their loud music.

I was probably too hard on Luke. He had a career year last season and earned his new contract. He just never struck me as anything more than a competent 8th guy on a good team. He works well in the triangle and Lakers fans like him, so no harm there. As for Kapono, his ridiculous contract proves the old theory that in the NBA it's better to be great at one thing and shitty at the rest than average at everything. I still think he's going to be extremely valuable to the Raptors with their style of play.

The main page of ESPN says that Barry Bonds is having a lackluster season.

Sounds like Matt Hardy's going to be pushed as an upper mid-carder. Basically, he'll go over most of the roster and be constantly pushed but never a real threat to be "the guy." That way the old and new main eventers will have someone to work with before or after their run at the top. Also can be used in a pinch for main events. It's a great position for him to be in. The upper mid-carder is something of a lost art in the new WWE. -
Luke freakin Walton does not deserve $5 million a year. Kapono's overpaid as well but he's perfect for that Raptors offense.

All four of Fuentes' losses have come in the last week. It was a bad week for sure, but you can't fault the players that much for not catching it. He was a having a solid season before hand. I hardly have any qualms over the selections. Freddy Sanchez over Jason Bay and Tom Gorzelanny is probably the most puzzling.

Dinsmore worked for WCW in 98-99. He was used as a jobber type of both Saturday Night and Nitro. -
By going public with their intentions to re-sign Rashard, Seattle improves their positioning for a sign and trade.
-
-Carter to the Nets: 4 yrs, $61 million -Luke back to the Lakers: 6 yrs, $30 million -No other perceived suitors for Billups besides Detroit -Seattle will try to re-sign Lewis -Dallas is interested in Gerald Wallace -Grant Hill has offers from Toronto, Orlando, Detroit, SA & Phoenix. Many expect him to sign with Phoenix

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Cheech Tremendous replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
ECW may be the third brand, but for a guy like Benoit it's not a demotion. He doesn't get paid less. He doesn't have to work or travel more. He doesn't get taken off tv. He doesn't lose merchandise rights. He doesn't work smaller venues. Benoit was being asked to be the focus of the one of the company's brands. That's not a bad thing. I think being moved to ECW is probably 5,521st in the list of reasons you decide to kill your family. Obsessed fans who break down the minutia of won-loss records or title reigns are the only ones who care about that crap. -
I'm no health nut, and I do enjoy a good burger, but I don't know how any of you can eat that shit.

That would be something if Nancy rose from the dead and used a crippler crossface to kill Daniel. -
It's already been touched on, but before the draft even occurred Yi's people presented a list of teams that he would play for. If he was not drafted by one of the approved teams, he would either force the team to trade his rights or he would stay in China. Needless to say, Milwaukee was not one of the approved teams.

Stupid. Bill Simmons is the best thing going on the espn website. He's little overexposed and the columns haven't been the same since the wife and baby, but he still brings it every once in a while. His NBA columns are great.

I still think the Blazers have a year or two to go. Perusing through their salaries, it looks like they will have $30+ million in cap room after the '09 season. If they can manage to keep that space and make a splash in free agency to go with their amazing nucleus, they could have a championship roster in just a few seasons. Another thing about the Randolph trade. I said last night that I like what Isiah did and I'll stand by that, but why did they give up on Channing Frye already? As recently as last summer this kid was supposedly untouchable. They turned down deals left and right for him because he was supposed to be a building block for the future. What happened?
-
Looks like Portland, Atlanta, Charlotte, Seattle and San Antonio all put together good nights. I also like what Chicago did in the second round with Curry and Gray to go with Noah. Those are guys that can come in and contribute now. Not sure that I like what Sacramento, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston or LAL really did with their picks. They got players that can fit needs, but it seems like they all could have done more.
-
I hope he did it at Outback.
-
They still don't have any cap room. They have almost $50 million committed for next year and that's before resigning Pietrus or signing Wright. Brandan Wright is a project and who knows if he even develops to give them what J-Rich does right now. I don't see what trade chips they have that would entice Minnesota to trade Garnett either. Not saying this was a horrible deal or anything, but I think you went a little overboard in your assessment.
-
That doesn't make much sense. Why not just send him home and wait to see if they can get something for him next summer?
-
The Portland-New York trade is a deal that works for both teams. I'm a little surprised that Portland couldn't get more for a 25/10 guy, especially when we heard rumors of Richard Jefferson and Antawn Jamison in recent weeks. But they were deadset on moving him and Channing Frye still has a lot of upside. Steve Francis won't help them much this year, but he'll be a nice piece to move next summer when they have a better idea of how this team is coming together. Hats off to Isiah though. Adding Randolph to that front line and getting rid of Francis in the same deal? He looks like a competent GM now. I am unsure about how that'll set up defensively, but who cares? They'll score boatloads of points. NY and Boston might have both jumped over NJ tonight in the Atlantic.

I hope Austin and WWE sues her ass for slander - I dont like AT ALL that she's using this tragedy for her own agenda. This is the same shit she mentioned a few days ago (and was posted here) but now has added that WWE put a gag on her for over a year, covering for Austin, etc. The interview she did before said Austin himself forced her to shut up about the beatings somehow (she didnt specify). So she is saying he always because overly violent while he was on roids only? It doesnt make sense really. Can't sue for slander if it's true. She might have her own agenda, but I don't doubt for a second that what she was true. -

Yes, you read it correctly. -
I don't think there's any chance Rashard is coming back. They'll probably try to get some interest for a sign and trade.
