In five years we'll get a DECLASSIFIED thread in Graphics and I'll finally be satisfied.
-
Wilt Chamberlain, Pete Maravich and Red Auerbach are all very dead.

Hey VX, where is Salvador Molly's? I think they SW on the show, but I can't place it. Maybe I'll see you there. I'll look for a guy wearing a Vitamin X nametag.

How could someone dislike King Kamala? -
I would have Morgan, Kent, Sandberg, Biggio and then Alomar Robinson Cano? Sorry... I just had to.
-
Is anyone going to ever tell us who red29 was? The suspense is killing me.

Voodoo donuts, actually. Those massive pancakes are from another place. I just called up a buddy to see if he wanted to go get some of those habanero fritters. We've got it penciled in for this weekend. I'll report back with my success (or lack thereof). The preview next week shows the 12-egg omelet from Beth's in Seattle. I've actually eaten one of those. I threw up all over the park next to Green Lake on the walk home. Too much egg.

Picked this up at another board and found it interesting. Here is a list of the the teams with the ten highest payrolls in 2008 accompanied by their projected opening day payroll in 2009. Yankees: 209.850M (2008 209.081M) Mets: 142.542M (2008 137.793M) Detroit: 126.600M (2008 137.685M) Boston: 128.005M (2008 133.390M) White Sox: ~97.500M (2008 121.189M) Angels: ~113.500M (2008 119.216M) Dodgers: 74.640M (2008 118.588M) Cubs: 137.145M (2008 118.345M) Seattle: ~95.000M (2008 117.666M) The Met, Yankees and Cubs all increased payroll, but the other seven have all reduced their commitments. The Dodgers and White Sox may still have some deals in them, but neither will probably go past $110 million.

I haven't been there in years and even then I mostly lurked. Over time WWE managed to kill my love for almost any wrestling discussion, be it current or old school. It's a miracle I even still pop into the General folder here.

That board is full of TNA-hating goths.
-
The only message boards I've ever been to are Sons of Sam Horn, this place and Wrestling Classics. I don't board that hard outside of TSM.
-
Whoa, that board gave me a headache. After about ten seconds I was scrambling for the close button. Maybe TSM isn't the asshole of the internet like I once thought it was.
-
I wasn't speaking directly to you, bob. I've always felt that the board at large will decide whether something is worthy of a thread. If it gets no responses, it goes away and we move on. For instance, I started a thread called "National Pastime?" in sports this week and it died after one response. I threw up a clunker and it failed, but we all moved on. Some of the new guys get a lot of heat for that sort of thing; I'm just lucky I've built up enough capital around here to let something like that skate by. I don't like when people try to tell others what deserves a thread and what doesn't. That was the problem I had for so long with the old CWDWAT in the WWE folder.
-
I sent him a PM earlier today about thread creation and board standards in an effort to help him. He never responded and then started several more threads. That's the last time I try to help someone. The Olberman vs. McMahon thread was bad, but it was equally annoying that five different posters felt that it was necessary to jump on him for starting a non-thread-worthy topic. If you don't like the thread, don't respond.

Which one is the American Idol chick? Is it the heavier-set ugly chick? Looks like Andy Dick is joining the house this week. I don't care that much about seeing him, I just want all Adler all the time.
-
That's one ballsy pick. Best of luck.
-
I'm glad that they added a no dunking rule. That was always a point of contention in horse competitions back when I was in high school. It was quite unfair for a guy who could dunk to sucker a non-dunker into competition. But then again, these are NBA guys, so that probably wouldn't come into play.

So Bill Simmons finally got his wish?
-
Is Willy Aybar the worst pick in the history of fantasy sports drafting? A utility player in the first round? Inconceivable. I need to hear the explanation. It's killing me!

So the mystery of the red29 banning grows deeper. Ten nondescript posts and then boom, ban-hammer. -

What a bunch of jerks. You guys should just go form your own board if you're going to be that way. -

And to think, this almost ended in a Kamala-Glasscock feud. Crisis averted! -

I like that when Kamala gets drunk he runs to the board to express his feelings about TSM. Oh, and these comments definitely deserved a thread. -

Typically during the week I just cycle through my ten presets. Howard 101, Espn and CNN are the talk stations I frequent. I like Classic Vinyl, Deep Tracks, Buzzsaw (now Boneyard), Hair Nation, Octane, Alt Nation and Backspin for my music. On the weekends when I have time I'll explore some of the other stuff like Coffee House and Outlaw Country. You?
