I don't know. His member no. is 5,162 and mine is 5,151. Does that mean 11 people signed up for TSM that day? Was there something special about June 29, 2004?

I've heard eight songs on that entire list. I'm only 92% out of touch. Puts on Led Zeppelin II.

Wow, it took 4.5 years, but 4EVERDELAYED found a thread worth commenting in.

So, as it turns out, Rocco Baldelli does not have have mitochondrial disease. He was misdiagnosed by the Rays team doctors. Apparently he has channelopathy, which is far less severe and easily treatable. He should be able to make a full return to baseball. Below is a transcript from a Providence radio report regarding Rocco.

Have you actually met anyone from the board?

Wow, Al has way better seats than you do. -
Which poster would you most like to hang out with?

If you're ever in Seattle and need someone to share a bromantic evening with, you need only to ask. Don't worry, I won't pressure you into anything you don't feel comfortable doing. Can I be the third wheel? I like to watch. -
I thought this was stupid until I saw that it was, in fact, an expression of his undying love for the movie Teen Wolf. I'm all for that. Me too.

Post in this thread if you have never stood in shin-deep snow

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Granted, I have four-wheel drive, but I have hard time seeing why people must drive 5 fucking miles an hour down major arterials. The Public Works department has been good about throwing down gravel and most major streets have enough traffic to prevent any sort of major ice build-up. It boggles my mind that people drive like we're in the middle of a white-out blizzard. I can see the pavement, fer chrissakes! -
Didn't it seem like they would build Meng up every 6-12 months, having him squash JTTS and mid-card guys, only to eventually get squashed by the guy they really wanted to push? I seem to remember this scenario happening multiple times, but it could be my mind playing tricks on me. I never had much interest in Meng/Haku. I can't think of one time where I was really that interested in what he was doing, and that started from a young age when I just wanted Demolition to beat the shit out of him and have him go away. Meng's a good example of the fact that you need a strong character to get over in modern wrestling. Having a rep as a real life tough guy doesn't always translate on screen.

Eddy Curry plays for the Knicks. The Knicks would like to trade him to the Bobcats for Boris Diaw and Raja Bell, since they play for the Bobcats and all. Try to keep up.
-
The Bobcats have to wait 60 days from the time they acquired Diaw/Bell before they can trade them. But, yes, sources have said that Charlotte traded for those two guys with the intention of flipping them for Lee and Curry. We'll see if that's still the case in January.

They'll probably move Furcal to second base and put Kelly Johnson in left. Alternatively, Escobar could be used as trade bait to get another starting pitcher. I know the Royals are looking for a SS and would consider trading Zack Greinke. That's a deal that makes a lot of sense on paper.
-
Oh, sweet irony.
-
I don't get the fascination with Rafael Furcal. He's miles better than say, Julio Lugo, as far as starting shortstops are concerned, but I wouldn't be breaking the bank for him. He's 31 years old and has injury concerns. He has a career OPS+ of 96, which is good for a SS, but not special. He's an average, at best, defender. Don't see why that'd be worth $10 million or more a year.

Currently, the TSM Year-End Awards are occupying the new Center Stage area at the top of the board. Czech has already implied that the area will be used for the Poster Tournament in January. What's the plan after that is over? Are we going to keep the Center Stage area and use it as a revolving door for "What's Hot at TSM" or is it something that will disappear in a few months? I'm intrigued.

You think so, Tim?

Kings fire Reggie Theus Not sure how you can blame the coach for the Kings miserable start. There is no talent on that team at all. Kevin Martin is coming along, but he'd be the second or third option on a playoff team. Theus helped that team overachieve last year. I don't see the point in making a change right now.

The only reason the Ombudsman position is a joke is because you let it become one. It doesn't matter if the mods didn't think much of it when they gave you that title, you had every opportunity to make it matter and instead you fell flat on your face. You were more concerned with bitching and complaining and pushing yourself instead of trying to do anything that would improve the board. Look at the past three months. I was more ombudsman-y than you. I started the TSM Market Research Thread and initiated discussion in Site Feedback about mega-threads and the new logo. I attempted to get the mods to be more proactive about splitting threads and organizing folders. I spoke up when other posters said the music folder was too exclusive. Now what did you do? You read a PM from GrungyPunk. Good fucking work, Bob. The problem is you are far more concerned with making yourself feel important than doing something that might benefit the board. You care about you and you only.
-
Jesus, Bob, do I have to literally spell everything out? I have a general idea of what e-fed is. I'm not stupid. I just want to know what they all do down there every day. Like I get that it's a whole fantasy booking thing, but that's about it.

I know what it stands for... I said explain it.
-
Oh, could somebody please explain that entire part of the board to me. I've been around since Rantsylvania and I still have no fucking clue what OAOAST is.

I actually know a guy who celebrates Festivus. His family did it years ago as a joke because they were getting sick of the holiday season. Apparently they loved how it went and have been legitimately celebrating it ever since. They do it all too... the pole, airing of grievances, feats of strength, etc. Nutjobs, I say.

You can actually organize each folder from largest to smallest in terms of replies or page views. It's not as interesting as you might think. The largest threads in most folders are the silly Comments That Don't Warrant a Thread. Pictures I Like is the biggest thread in No Holds Barred, for instance. CWDWAT and WWE Folder Sucks Dick are right behind it. Not exactly a killer list of classic threads.
-
Which reminds me... technically, I am still a part owner of this board. I should get to boss someone around. I own part of the board, too. Maybe we can get our own folder as a dividend? You know,Dandy, we did get a folder at one time. We didn't want it.

That's one of the most retarded things I've ever heard. "It's been proven..." Really? That's news to me. Who proved it? Bowl games typically match up two even teams. Therefore, the Heisman winner's team only has about a 50% chance of winning their bowl game. That's why recent Heisman winners have lost their last game. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they received some stupid trophy one month before.
