majormayhem1 going for the hat trick today? -
I just choked on my coffee.

I got my own thread!! Congratulations! You earned it.

Nah, this one's too dumb to be Leena.

Boston Globe reporting that the shoulder issues that sidelined Curt Schilling last year will keep him out of Spring Training. More info to follow.

WWE General Discussion - February 2008
Cheech Tremendous replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
WWE should be opening more developmental territories. They need more avenues for wrestlers to train and cut their teeth in front of a crowd. I'd suggest having at least 3 or so across the country. Shutting down OVW seems like a bad idea to me. -
Dumbest Comment of the Day at TSM

The sentence was lacking a verb. I think that falls under the category of grammar. Let's just ask Jericholic82. He's an expert on this stuff. -
Where do these guys come from?

More like enjoying irrelevance. Neither WWE nor TNA want anything to do with him. Well, now, I don't expect him to be wrestling. He didn't even look like the same guy when he was seen last in TNA with the shaved head and all. He could hardly throw a punch. I'm just wondering what he's doing these days. There seems to be a lot of talk about him, but you never hear anything from the man himself. Considering that he is more or less "banished" from WWE and TNA doesn't want/can't afford him, I don't know why we'd hear anything about him.

So, are the 1972 Miami Dolphins really the greatest team ever?

Who exactly are the Redskins going to hire at this point? They decided to bag Williams and Saunders. Jim Mora elected to stay with Seattle. Pete Carroll did his little dance and returned to sunny California. McDaniels shit the bed in the Super Bowl. Who's left that was on their list? Don't tell me they are going with Mariucci.

A list of next year's free agents. There are some extremely interesting names in this bunch.

When the thread first got to around 100 pages some poster said that it had to be the longest thread in TSM history because he couldn't remember one ever getting to 100 pages. The funny thing was there were about a half dozen other active topics on the board that were well over that many pages. This meshes with my theory that most of the posters in that folder have no idea that the rest of the board exists.

Wow, who's the real stickler for grammar now? -
yep Sorry BL, I totally forgot you said that. I'm lame.

#441. Chris Benoit ^That one pisses me off. It's not funny. It's not cute. It's not smart. Stop doing it.

You must not believe in many college teams then.

Given the poster in question, I don't know if this is dumb or totally awesome: -
I've watched about three Knicks games this year, including the OT loss to Portland last week and I must say, I can't remember seeing a more undisciplined team in my life. Their defense is atrocious and the offense sputters because every guy who touches the ball wants to shoot it. Regardless of my feelings of Isiah the GM, Isiah the coach is terrible. They should really keep Lee, Crawford, Robinson and Balkman and send everyone else packing. There is no other player on their roster worth a damn.

Holy shit. I didn't think it was possible to like the guy any more than I already do, but wow.

According to reports, the Cleveland Indians signed Brendan Donnelly (who is out for most of '08 with TJ surgery) and the Tampa Bay Rays signed Eric Hinske (minor league deal). It really hasn't been a good year for fringey 1B/OF types. Kielty and Hinske get stuck with minor league deals. Casey got peanuts. Tony Clark, Ryan Klesko, Mike Sweeney and Kevin Mench are all trying to catch on somewhere.

Luke Jackson was cut by the Heat to make room for Banks and Marion. After watching him at Oregon, I thought he had a chance to be a good role player in the NBA. I thought he could play the Kerr or Paxson to Lebron's Jordan in Cleveland, but it was not to be. I'd guess this more or less spells the end of his days as an NBA talent.

That whole coach-elect process worked wonders for Gregg Williams and the Redskins.

The Kevin Hart thing is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. Poor guy.
