Rashad Evans versus Michael Bisping to headline UFC 78
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
That's what made the round 9-9. I would've perfered to see a Ortiz/Evans rematch over this fight, but Ortiz perfers to go on reality shows with Donald Trump than fight. -

Still doesn't change the original point I made in the previous post... Who would've known if Tito would've won Round 1 had he not grabbed the fence. Rashad was in the midst of taking him down, which would've score points and might've changed the pace of the fight. Either way, Rashad fought pretty stupid in the 1st fight. There is no doubt in my mind he would fight a much better fight in the rematch and win more clearly. There were a lot of mistakes I've seen him make in that fight, like going for a double leg takedown when Tito's legs were very far apart and not letting his hands go a lot more. I mean if he let his hands go, Tito's just going to stand there and not do anything really like he always does usually when punches are thrown at him. The way I saw the fight, Tito saved himself from losing the round, and more likely the fight by grabbing the fence. -

Don't give me that bullshit. Tito Ortiz/Rashad Evans was a fair call bottom line, no bad judging was involved. And if Tito didn't grab the fence who knows how that round would've went, because he was in the midst of being taken down. -

Evans Vs. Machida would've been a great #1 contender fight. -

Rashad Evans has beaten people that matter including Jason Lambert(who is a top 15 LHW in the world at the very least, very underrated), Stephon Bonnar, and Keith Jardine himself(even though it doesn't count on his record), so please stop speaking out of your ass. I'll agree that Jardine and Griffin are more deserving because of their recent victories. -
I don't blame Matt Hughes at all for questioning the Athletic Commission and how they hire they judges, because everyone else questions them and wonders the same thing. I'm glad Matt Hughes had the balls to do it, most MMA fighters would be scared shitless.

Wow, that fucking sucks. I wanted to see a 3rd round. I thought we were going to a 3rd round as well. Barrera has potential, I want to see more of him. But I hope he runs a lot less in the future.

Your list of 185 pound title contenders

I think Anderson would beat Henderson but he would have more problems with him then Lutter, Franklin or anyone he's faced since joining the UFC. Only if Henderson comes in with the right gameplan. There isn't any doubt in my mind Henderson could take Anderson down, but can he hold him there is the question. Either way, I see it with Henderson starting out strong, and then Anderson starts to pick him apart. -
Better Than Me by Hinder... Everytime I heard that song I feel like puking. That Lips of an Angel song sucks a fat one as well.

What sucks even more is that the 2 fighters who posses the biggest chance to defeat Anderson(Lindland and Filho) don't fight with the UFC(Although even if Filho was in the UFC, doubt the fight would happen as I already mentioned). Too bad Lindland bitched out of the original fight with Anderson back in the beginning of 06, to fight Mike Van Arsdale instead, that is a match up I am interested to see. Henderson stands a very good chance as well, but he doesn't want to cut to 185 for some reason. -

Hardcore fans will love it, casual fans will hate it. Bisping and Evans are not popular among the casual fans to begin with. Although I'm interested in the match up, a main event caliber fight it is not. But then again, the UFC was put in a very tough spot with Sherks appeal. -

Part of the reason Filho is in the WEC, because he didn't want to fight Anderson Silva, because they are great friends. -

Although this might suprise some people, I think this video is bullshit and has no room among the MMA community. Just plain disgraceful. -

Hmmm, maybe I should pick up the book. I just finished reading Eric Bischoff's book, and was thinking of getting Hardcore Diaries by Foley, but maybe I'll get Bret's. -
Brock Lesnar on the next season makes the most sense marketing-wise.
-
Okami does have a "W" over Anderson, and Anderson has stated he wants to avenge that loss, prior to the Franklin/Okami fight. So likely it's Okami fighting for the title, unless Henderson moves down to 185.

Where's Ripper at? He's the dork constantly criticizing Anderson Silva, and said Franklin would win because of a better gameplan.

Brock Lesnar is now OFFICIALLY in the UFC
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Mik's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
It's really hard to say, none of us are able to see enough of Lesnars MMA skills to really tell. Lesnar is a great ahtlete and has great wrestling credentials, so that helps things. But his chin is untested, and who knows how good his stand up is, it's most likely poor. It's going to be interesting who UFC matches him with. -

Eric Bischoff even said he understood why Vince McMahon did it. I think after the whole Madusa incident, Vince wasn't going to fuck around and trust anyone. Vince was in the dark about everything that was going on with Bret and Bischoff. Vince was put in a very bad situation. He was dealing with 2 wrestlers with some of the biggest egos in the wrestling business, and a possible bad situation involving WCW trashing another WWF title on air. Although it was said Bischoff at that point wasn't allowed to do anything of the sort because Turner was afraid of lawsuits, Vince didn't know it. And as far as Shawn and Bret go, even when Bret didn't job he still made mid-card wrestlers look like main event stars. Bret Hart could've made a broomstick look like a million bucks. Shawn Michaels, although very talented, didn't really give a fuck about anyone but himself and his peers. He would only put on great performances against the top level talent. -
I defiently need to see more MVP/Mysterio matches.
