Rashad Evans versus Michael Bisping to headline UFC 78
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Well Sherk appeal fucked things up for them, but with Karo/Lombard(JUDO-MANIA!), Edgar/Fisher, and hopefully the return of David Terrell. I'll order it(but then again PPV's cost half price for me ) They will most likely add another solid fight for this card, I hope so atleast. -

I could very well see Nogueria getting KO although I doubt it happens. Remember Herring almost KO'd Nogueria. All I know is Nogueria better not go out there and try to strike with Kongo, and take him straight to the ground from the opening bell. -
ECW 10.2.07 (Vince McMahon McMahon to make WWE Title announcment)
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Hawk 34's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually, the plan for BDV for a long time now was to groom him for a run on SmackDown. I have no problem with this, except for the fact that he had nothing to do with the original four-man competition in the first place. This just tells me, as a fan, that I shouldn't invest any emotion in any sort of feud/competition, as it can always change at the last minute. Fuck, they have another PPV in less than a month. They couldn't wait until then? I mean, the Punk-BDV affair just started seven days ago, right? You do know that a part of the plan before moving him to SD! was to make him a main event heel on ECW right? And invest any emotion in a feud/competition? Dude this is PRO FUCKING WRESTLING, stranger and by far worse things have happend to feuds before. Atleast this isn't suprising -

Another option 3) BDV wins, and then CM Punk goes on to win the WWE title which makes the IC bust a cyber nut. -

Yeah, and I didn't fucking like it when they hotshotted the title to Credible...without ever showing Dreamer's victory on TV...in 2000 either. It also doesn't make any sense to throw him into the Elimination Chase, and no, "Estrada's a heel GM" doesn't cut it. The plan since Viscera came to ECW was to make him a top heel monster on the program and eventually have a CM Punk/BDV feud, if last week didn't clue you in to what was eventually going you happen, then you're naive. You honestly thought Dreamer was going to get the title shot, and the whole thing with BGV destroying CM Punk would be ignored? C'mon now, I saw this coming from a mile away. I'm interested to see how this match will play out. While BDV isn't a good worker by any means, he isn't a big lazy slug and can actually move around pretty good for his size. If CM Punk can drag a decent match out of him, I'll give him all the respect in the world. -
The Rock is the farthest thing from a ring techncian, you don't need to be a techncial wrestler to be a great wrestler. The Rock was more of a brawler style with loads of enegry and a pretty wide moveset. When The Rock was in the ring, he was always able to tell a story, it just wasn't a wrestling match. Everyone of his peers even great techncial wrestlers like Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, Jericho, all commented on how intense and how great Rock was in the ring. I'll take their words over most people who haven't even been in the ring, because I believe their opinions is more valid. The Rock's intensity, energy, and understanding on how to make a great match far exceeds his techncial wrestling.

I don't think a lot of these people claiming to be ECW fans, actually watched ECW, and acts all shock and starts to complain. This is classic retro ECW booking right here. -
The Rock was defiently great in the ring, all you have to do is ask anyone who has ever been in the ring with him, and look at his catologe of classic matches.

I'll have to look to see if there is more pointless and angry posts from the great Coffey.

Coffey turns the big 26 today, I think everyone on this forum should wish this great and banned poster a happy birthday.

Taker/Batista for Judgement Day. -
You're pretty much right, Rich has to fight a perfect fight in order to win. But the thing is I think he is still intimdated of Anderson Silva, I mean look at his facial reaction after Silva destroyed Marquardt... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmPFvUxQ3ec He looked scared shitless at the fact he was facing Anderson Silva again.
-
Who are you to doubt the greatness of Coffey?
-
Who the fuck are you?
-
He was a fat weiner, but he still deserves a happy birthday! I don't even remember him all that much, I just thought it was funny that the board shows birthday for banned posters.
-
Shut the fuck up, and wish Coffey a happy birthday, cockface.

Are you his boyfriend?

I was thinking in my head that Silva outstruck Chonan in their fight and was winning until the heel hook, but I watched it for the first time since I saw it live and Chonan was not only winning but beating Silva in stand-up. He actually fought smart, picking his shots, avoiding the Thai clinch, and finding openings to take Silva down. I think Rich CAN do all of these things, but I still see Silva winning the fight just based on how bad he beat Rich last time out, though it will probably go the distance as opposed to a stoppage this time out. Too bad it's probably the best fight Chonan will ever have since he's been pretty unimpressive ever since. I think it's also fair to say Silva has improved since the Chonan fight, and has turned into a much stronger middleweight since then.
-
So does every pro wrestling fan, but the IC didn't really truly appreciate him while he was there. I still remember the IC bashing him as much as Cena gets bashed.
-
Thank you for also clarifying this.
-
Please don't resort to lame excuses like "was beat as hell" and "went through a divorce". Anderson Silva was the better fight that night bottom line. If Rich wasn't ready for the fight, he wouldn't have agree to it in the 1st place. And as far as I know, Rich never went through a divorce and is still happily married. Infact wasn't his wife there in attendence when Anderson Silva smashed his face in the 1st time? Yes Franklin certainly has a chance, saying he doesn't is just being stupid. But your reasoning is just outrageous.

Maybe if Nakamura won, but he didn't so it's irrelevent.

Flying Scissor Heel Hook. -
You've been hating on Anderson Silva pratically every post I've seen you post on him. If he hasn't impressed you with the Marquardt fight, then you need to stop sipping on the haterade. Marquardt is a more overall skilled then Franklin ever is, his overall grappling is much better then Franklins. If anyone had the perfect style to defeat Anderson Silva, it was him(although Henderson at 185 could beat Silva I don't think Lindland would be able to). Franklin should do better in the rematch(he can't do worse then the 1st fight), but really whats he going to do? Take him down? Although Franklin has above average wrestling, Anderson has proven he is dangerous off his back and could damage Franklin. His BJJ is better then Franklins, striking it's not even close. I just can't see how Franklin can win this fight. Home town advantage? Anderson was booed out of the building the 1st fight, so I can't see how this will effect him.

A) Vera has better BJJ and has better submissions then Randy, and on his feet Vera is a lot more speed then Couture. B) Tim Sylvia being even considered a top 5 HW, proves how much the HW divison is lacking. He's a borderline top 10 at very best, he was top 5 at one point, but I have troubles seeing him ever reading it again. Ben Rothwell will end up becoming a better HW then Sylvia ever was, IMO. C) Vera is far from years away, he's basically crushed all mid-level HW's, and proved he is above that. He defiently has the skillset to be an elite HW, take a look at his credentials for yourself.
