How does dressing up equal a DVD? It means he was probably there to talk about a deal for a dvd and possibly shot interviews for said DVD. Also, if Rhodes needs a heel to go against, I'd nominate Striker as the heel gm of ECW. If Burke's injury is anything serious, he would be the best option IMO.

    TUF V: The Thread

I think if BJ shows the same intensity and shows up in the same kind of shape he showed for the Pulver fight. He CAN beat both. Need I remind you BJ was dominating Matt Hughes both on the ground and standing for 2 rounds until suffering a rib injury and then getting manhandled by Matt Hughes. Also that you could make a decent argument that BJ won the GSP fight, as it was a razor close desicion. BJ certainly has the skillset to beat both Hughes and GSP. He's proven it against Matt Hughes, and certainly a rematch with GSP will most likely be a close desicion again. Either way I wouldnt just jump to conclusions and automatically think BJ is going to lose to both of them, especially with all the MMAos that has happen this year alone, but BJ beating both Hughes and GSP wouldnt be labeled as MMAos.

No way they are going to give Cung Le to a fighter like Frank Shamrock. Cung Le isn't ready for experienced top level MW's yet. He can beat cans like Fryklund and Von Flue, but Frank Shamrock could possibly ruin his MMA career. Cung Le is a great up and comer, but he needs to fight some more tomato cans so he can look great to the american auidence and they can build him up.

    Sid Vicious update

As someone already said, Arn and Sid made their peace years ago and worked together in WCW during 1999-2001. And as for Sid being Vince's killer... I hope not. If he were to come back he would be perfect in a bodyguard type role for an up and coming heel like Elijah Burke.

If the UFC is doing it with Henderson/Rampage, whats the difference with Elite XC/Strikeforce doing it? Ninja/Shamrock would be the best available fight at for them, so I want to see it. I don't want to see Shamrock or Ninja fought some tomato can, just so they can have an easy 1st defense. That's how big money fights get fucked up.

    SD Spoilers 6/22/07

MVP is no where near that level yet. They cannot rush things with MVP because he has the potential to be on the level of a Rock, Austin, Hogan etc.

Sorry man. I gotta disagree here. Tito is not at all a better striker then Rashad. Rashad has always displayed good boxing skills through out his UFC career. He has fast hands, good defense, and very well technique. Tito Oritz had problems with Forrest Griffin sloppy striking, and hasn't displayed a good striking game in lords how long. If it stays on the feet, Rashad will KO Oritz. As for Rashad being able to handle the strength of Tito Ortiz at 205, remember Rashad won the TUF contract at heavyweight. Mike Whitehead, Keith Jardine, Jason Lambert are all very strong fighters, Mike Whitehead especially. Rashad handle all of them. Rashad is as legit of a 205 as they come.

But aren't you the same guy who said Chris Leben would be able to take Anderson Silva's "weak punches"(well you said something to the extent of Anderson not being able to punch out of a wet paper bag), and would dry hump Anderson Silva in-route to desicion? Breen loves Nate, so it doesn't suprise me to see him thinking Nate is going to win. But unless Nate doesn't sub Anderson in 2 rounds, he's getting KO'd bad.

    TUF V: The Thread

Explain why Gray gassed so fast at the beginning of the 2nd round then, if he wasn't being worked extra hard in the 1st? I STILL don't see how you can say he was getting his ass 'whooped'. He got hit -solidly- twice. One on an elbow, and one on a nice looping right while he was in the middle of a sweep. And how can you say those punches weren't effective at all, because they sure slowed down Gray when he threw them. There is a big difference between crappy strikes from guard (which I've seen plenty of) and the ones that Nate threw in two series of strikes (Not all of them, but there were two series where he threw a combination of nice upstrikes). And working your opponent over for submissions can use HIS energy up, and also will put you in good position. If he wasn't constantly looking for submissions, he wouldn't have gotten the position advantage in the early second round, and Gray may not have hurried so much to defend a nonexistant leglock, if he hadn't kept trying them in the first round. And Diaz always has his hands like that. He STARTED the fight like that. But at the end of the day if you JUST score a round based on 'damage' then it doesn't really reward people for attempting submissions and maintaining control of a fight and TRYING TO FINISH THE FIGHT. And as a -judge- and in -judging- a round, you're supposed to judge who won the fight, based on a variety of factors. Damage isn't even one of those factors, actually, though it surely can play a part. And if those strikes really 'slowed' him down, why wasn't gray able to maintain control at ANY point in the fight, and why was Diaz able to constantly apply submissions entirely unaffected. Damage, to me, means you impede the other persons ability to fight. Gray maintained top position and was doing damage, and even if Nate was throwing submission attempts Gray was in no danger during the 1st round of being submited. He won the 1st round 10-9 without question IMO. I expected Nate Diaz to catch him in a submission just based of the fact Diaz can take punishment and still be in the game, and Gray being new to the sport of MMA would get caught in submission eventually to a submission expert like Diaz.

Seriously shut up with this whole "Koschecked" thing. 1st off... Wiman and Lauzon were considered among the favorites to win the contest. Everyone (Not me) were suprised to see Manny defeat them. Both fighters were very strong, and both times Manny was very active on top landing and trying to land shots. Lauzon espcially had a nice guard and did his very best at the bottom to try to avoid Manny getting mount position and landing shots. 2nd off... This whole "Koschecked" thing is an absolute bullshit urban legend. Since he has been on the "Ultimate Fighter", 4/7 of his victorys have not gone to desicion. And the only time you can really accuse Koscheck of lay and praying was in the Fickett fight. In the Joslin fight, he was very active trying to get past Joslins amazing butterfly guard, and even he couldnt, he was still throw and landing on top which won him the fight. The Diego fight was a straight stand up fight, with Koscheck fighting a smart stand up fight and trying to counter Diego, who didn't throw at all. If anything blame Diego for the reason why the Koscheck/Sanchez 2 fight was so boring.

Dawg, with the amount of useless shit I've bought in the past year, buying this card in my case isn't throwing away money. I got more then enough to buy this card. I problay would've went to the bar and watch this if it was Franklin/Kampmann, but Franklin/Okami has me sold.

WWE General Discussion for June 2007

Considering how much interest the angle has gathered, I bet Vince is very happy with how the angle is doing. The same people bashing this angle will still tune into WWE programing to see how this will play out.

Draft Predictions or who would you liked to see moved?

5 wrestlers from each brand will most likely be traded. I can't believe some people have 10 wrestlers from each brand getting traded. Here is how I would like it... RAW: Benoit, MVP, Cor Von, Regal, Hardcore Holly SD!: CM Punk, Elijah Burke, Johnny Nitro, Ric Flair, Santino Marella ECW: Kenny Dykstra, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, The Boogeyman, The Miz

    SmackDown Spoilers for 6/8

Finlay will never be a legit main eventer in my mind, unless it is in a fatal 4-way or such. He's good at the role he is now, an upper midcarder role.

    SmackDown Spoilers for 6/8

There is lack of face depth on Smackdown, so we will have to wait until SD! drafts a face who can go against Edge. Or until Mr. Kennedy comes back.

Anytime Drew McFedries fights, I'm glued to the TV. He's a very entertaining striker, he's like Robbie Lawler in a certain way.
