WWE General Discussion - October 2008
Lt. Al Giardello replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Watching a few of the Austin/Kane videos just confused the fuck out of me... I really don't remember any of that shit. I can remember the awesome times of Maven as a heel or battling Evolution. Cool to see the Stunner no sold... Once Austin was making his comeback I was wondering how this didn't hurt Kane's unstoppable monster heel turn right out of the gates. I think during that time, Austin couldn't strike other wrestlers unless he was struck 1st. There was some rule made about that or some shit. -
Hey Noah, come to Calgary and fite me.

That list is pretty old... I don't think the Hardy Boyz deserve to be that high, and I think Dudleys deserve to be in the Top 10. -
Good thing I took him when I took him, I was going to wait into the really late rounds, but I was starting to get nervous he will be picked, and I need him big time for my Singleton film.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Stout won against Rich IMO. -
What the fuck is "Hot in Here" doing in that list? I don't even hate Nelly, but thats one of his worst songs, atleast go with "Country Grammar" if they wanted Nelly on the list.
-
Tupac Shakur Was wanting to take him a few rounds ago, but he's going to be one of my leads in my Singleton film.

Brett would blast Kimbo into oblivion... To think otherwise is retarded. Yes, because UFC 69 never happened. Not trying to be an asshole, just saying, stranger things have happened. No... Stranger things have not happend. Matt Serra ALWAYS had a punchers chance against GSP, because he always had a powerful right hand. The only ones who thought Serra was a complete joke and stood no chance were the annoying GSP nuthuggers. Kimbo Slice got knocked out from a jab from a fighter who came into that fighter at 205.5... How do you expect him to handle punches from a much more powerful puncher like Brett Rogers, who is naturally bigger then Kimbo?

I'm extremely dissapointed that there is no Goodie Mob on the list. And "I Used to Love H.E.R." should be top 20.
-
Alright, it's Brooklyn Zoo's turn, just gave him the PM.
-
Well I guess I can count RonL's and Ravenbombs picks now... Even though they jumped the gun, no one picked who they wanted.
-
Martin Lawrence
-
Yep... Both Ron and Ravenbomb's picks dont count. It's foleyfans pick.
-
I'm extremely suprised "Mama Said Knock You Out" by LL Cool J didn't make the cut... But then again did anyone expect this list to be awesome?

Luger/Pillman, Halloween Havoc 89 is one of my all time favorite matches.

Best pre match interviews?

The video links to The Nation's pre match interview at No Way Out 1998, when they were about wrestle Ahmed/Shamrock/DOA... The Rock's expressions while Faarooq was talking was classic. -
I think the problem was he would state his opinion which was usually against the popular opinion of this forum, and not really support it. Instead he would restort to stating his "credentials", and basically trying to prove he "knows more then us". That's what got on the nerves of most of the people in the WWE folder. See, even when Truthiness 1st started posting him, and even cabbageboy and DarKnight... Sure they would have opinions that don't agree with the popular opinion here, but they wouldn't act like they know more then us because of some bullshit "credentials". When he says absolute bullshit like "MVP has no charisma", without really supporting that arguement, when their is plently of evidence of MVP displaying his great charisma in promos and segments etc, it just makes Noah Fentz look like a fool.

You can't be serious... No voting on WWE.com?
-
Everyone from Chris's list sent to me is all gone so you have to pass on him for now.
-
Seems to me that Noah Fentz just goes against the popular opinion on this forum, just cause... I might be wrong, but thats how I viewed things from what I've seen from him.

That Malcolm X baseball jersey Eric Roberts was wearing, was awesome.
