I like this idea in theory. However, its been rumored that HBK wants the big Flair sendoff for his retirement, and a respect match with HHH fits that better than losing to a heel up-and-comer. HBK pinning Flair in his final match this year didn't do a thing for HBK, but the whole deal was so awesome that no one really complained about it. Thing is, we've all see HHH vs HBK many times. I don't recall ever seeing HBK vs Flair before the retirement match.. and if it did happen it didn't happen often. IMO, they should try to do a huge dream match for HBK's retirement. Sting would be great, but we know that'll never happen. as with Flair's retirement, you need some angle to run on with. Jericho/HBK feud was born out of the Flair match. Batista got pissed at HBK for beating Flair, HBK faked an injury in his match with Batista, Jericho called Shawn out on it, in the HBK/Batista rematch Jericho helped Batista win, then Jericho put HBK through the TV, ect. ect. No one else was as close with HBK and still are on good terms with him storyline wise as HHH is. That's who carries on the post retirement angle with. If this whole retirement thing is real then I would expect the seeds to be planted soon as HBK storylines seem to drag on for 6-7 months.

Miz and Morrison's 4th time on tv this week slow mo in Iraq!

SummerSlam 02's main event build up was soooooooo good. Rock and Brock was basically set up as a true athletic contest and not a blow off match to end a long storyline. It was also Rock's last full time WWE/F main event. The fans turning on Rock at the end was awesome. MNT is in HD but it's the station's decision to run it in HD. Where I live, it's a sub-channel and the engineers can't run HD on MNT without it stealing bandwidth from the main channel so until WWE jumps to another network, I'm stuck watching SD in 4x3. I always liked the 2nd ONS over the first. The heat for Cena is something we'll never see again. Maybe the WWE title has Raw and Smackdown on it because they're WWE shows? SD plate could be on it but it's never shown clearly on tv. Gotta see the latest replica to be sure. I don't think the WHC belt has a show on it. I don't think HHH will be Shawn's last match. A mid-carder on the edge of getting that next level push has to pin Shawn. A guy like Morrison. HHH pinning Shawn wouldn't do anything for HHH and becomes pretty meaningless.

I don't get it. If WWE wanted a recap show, they could get a Saturday morning slot on USA easily and I'm pretty sure USA in more homes than WGN. AM Raw on Sunday mornings draws good ratings for that time of night/morning. If it's on prime time then what day would this be on?

IF there is a run in, I can see Hardy getting pinned. Triple H will go on to talk about winning the Royal Rumble since it's the next ppv. Then after the best of shows, we can have winner gets in the Royal Rumble matches. Although with the thin roster, that would be kind of hard. I guess Taker could be in one of those matches vs. Triple H or something then Umaga does a run in to make sure Taker is out of the Rumble. If Hardy doesn't get a title shot at the Rumble, I can see him winning the Rumble from an early entry like #3 or #4. Winning the Rumble from one of the first 2 spots lost it's magic when Rey did it. I was going to say MVP could win the MitB match this year but with this losing streak, he might not even qualify.

ha I didn't even see the nominees when I made my guess. Almost all of mine made this list. -
The first Tribute was gold JBL coming out in a space suit > and I don't think they bring the titantron over there because it's no pyro. I never saw a giant screen and the backstage area was some tents It's kind of cool that they put the Tribute To The Troops as a arena in the new game, but the pyro is still there and you can have any type of match. Kind of weird seeing the HITC sitting outside surrounded by troops.
