Isn't that what Jericho was implying that Hassan and Dhavari were?
-
That would be 1983.

Meanwhile, backstage... Vince: "So I've decided that Chris Jericho should go to Smackdown after WrestleMania..." HHH: "Oh, oh, please, please, please, can I come too???" Vince: "Sure." Jericho: *frown*

Has the Undertaker ever put anyone over cleanly?
MARTYEWR replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in General Wrestling
HBK/HHH wasn't even the best match at SummerSlam that year. If anything comes to close to Brock/Taker from that card, it might be Eddie/Edge, Benoit/RVD or Rock/Brock. -
Am I the only one who thinks its a mistake to have Michaels and Jericho on the same show? Nope, certainly if the idea is to have Jericho is a bigger star than he is now.
-
Since no one's mentioned any Smackdown workers jumping, what about moving Undertaker to Raw, turning him heel, and feed him to Batista after Batista wins the gold at WrestleMania? It'll give Batista an edge that Benoit didn't have last year: more strong heel opponents to go over. They could very well have Taker put over Batista like he did with Brock at No Mercy 2002. Moving Taker also frees up an upper card face spot on Smackdown for Jericho if he jumps too.

Baseball: Used to hate, hate, HATE the A's, but now I'm so much interested in their current philosophies to be hating them. Hockey: Used to like the Leafs, but that was pretty much before the Senators re-established a franchise in 1990 for the 92-93 season.

I don't mean the old block WWF logos. I mean when announcers say "WWF". The only logo that needs to be blurred is the scratch WWF logo from the Attitude era.

I agree. For all the faults of the world title reigns of Angle, Jericho and Goldberg, Duane Gill's lightheavyweight title reign was so bad that everyone forgot he even had the title.

- W365 Newsletter. Here's a pic of a segment Trish had in Japan that was taken off from TV. She's on the TitanTron, but it gives a good view of what her injury was like. (Don't worry, it's not too gruesome) http://trishstratus.8k.com/pictures/events...5/02/Trish1.jpg

Happy 31st birthday to the man once known as "The Hardest Working Man Of The Smart Marks". Hope you have a good one, man, and a personal thanks to you for the Baltimore Stallions stories you were telling me a couple months ago.

Careful, Dave will bean you with his colostomy bag next time he sees you. Everyone makes fun of Dave's age. Even those older than him.
-
Best part was his demand in the obituary to replace Gary Bettman with Wayne Gretzky.
-
The real irony is that I once said that I'm not one to start happy birthday threads. I don't think John Kerry has anything on me. (At least I admit it) But to answer your question, I'm up arguably earlier than a lot of other people, and I just happen to notice these things. Anyways, it's just those (not just mods) that I either consider friend or give props to from time to time.

Just look at the card. RAW was terrible at the time, but they could have at least put Jericho on. They did a show in Ottawa around that time, too, which I missed because I was moving that weekend, but it was the (at the time) infamous show headlined by HHH and Nash that saw Nash get booed out of the building.

It's beneath a lot of others, but any other hints with stage 5? Believe it or not, I've tried typing the damn thing with no luck.

The reactions to RVD and Rock/Jericho were the big highlights. Fun show. Yep, I saw THAT main event. This also had X-Pac running in after the match to join the nWo. Note the second match. Main event was fun. This was one of Rey Mysterio's first matches before going onto TV. Rikishi's bladejob was fun. Horshu, of course, is Luther Reigns. Rhyno was really over. Benoit was really over in the main event too. Weak point was Lesnar being booked like a chickenshit whenever Undertaker was after him.

Rock is only 30, right? He's turning 33 in May, which gives him plenty of time to continue with the better options mentioned.

To add to what Tom just said, here's a link to everything you need to know about the NFL Salary Cap and its system in general: http://www.askthecommish.com/salarycap/faq.asp

Just like Al said above about few people knowing what's going to happen, who knew that Drew Brees and the rest of the Chargers were going to have the season they did last year? To be frank, it would've been VERY possible for the Bolts to cut Brees after the season he had when they went 4-12. That's probably why they went looking for another quarterback at the time.
-
For what it's worth, Chris Mortenson of ESPN mentioned earlier in the season that San Diego has a lot of cap room, so Rivers/Brees isn't as big a deal as it might be for some teams. They could very well keep both.

I'm not exactly sure on the official law on this. I think they may be allowed to keep in "WWF" at times as long as its clear that its in a wrestling context. I've got the new UK-only Tagged Classics In Your House set and at the start of IYH 2 Vince says something about "all the WWF superstars being here" and it's not cut. I'm not sure if its allowed because he's saying it in the context of them being wrestlers rather than just calling the company WWF - in which case, somehting like "WWF Champion" would probably be ok to leave in. Maybe there are just different agreements between the WWE and WWF for different countries and thats why these sets are only released here? Anyone know what the official ruling actually is? I don't know the full ruling, either, but you pretty well covered it. Those in the UK are allowed "WWF" in their Tagged Classics Edition DVDs. Those of us here in North America are eliminated any mention of the initials "WWF". A couple examples (as far as eliminating mention of "WWF"): - On the Trish DVD, they showed her debut back in 2000, with Michael Cole saying something along the lines of "We've seen previews of this young woman on ___.com earlier this week..." - On other DVDs where there was a WWF Championship match, you'd hear JR saying stuff like "The Rock is the reigning ___ Champion." That's what I mean with the editing issues. If there's too many of those to do, it almost makes reproducing a match not worth it. It makes blurring logos up a walk in the park.
-
Not to nitpick, but it was more like 23 seconds.
-
Blurriness of the old logo is not a big issue. I wish they would just find a way to blacken the turnbuckles completely, but editing visuals is not the issue. The tough part is: How many of the matches you want to produce mention "WWF" by the commentators? I watched Austin-Rock from WrestleMania X-Seven not too long ago, and completely lost count how many times JR and Heyman said "WWF Champion" or "WWF Championship" or any other mention of "WWF". But blurring out logos is the least of their worries. If it was that big of a deal, Cactus-HHH (Royal Rumble 2000), Rock-Mankind (Raw), Mankind-Taker (HIAC 98), RVD-J.Hardy (Invasion), Austin-Dude Love (OTE 98) wouldn't have been reproduced by them.
