Good about that: I've never seen the PPV in full, so it should be fun to watch. Bad about that: Most likely all the songs (except bWo and maybe Sabu and Taz's) will be dubbed over. Speaking of that - what are they going to do with the theme songs on ECW TV? I can't imagine they'll use all their original themes. They HAVE to get Enter Sandman though.

Hotbutter, are you related in any way to a man by the name of Banders Kennany? EDIT: Beat me to it, damnit.

Another HR for Matt Kemp.

Why does Grady Little always pull Brad Penny after 6 innings?

Ok here's how the game works..I'll name a band/artist, then the next person to post lists their five favorite songs by that band or artist, and names another band/artist for the person that posts after them to list their favorite songs from and the cycle continues like that. So I'll start it off - Led Zeppelin.

The Smackdown thread for June 2, 2006.
UZI Suicide replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
Because Vince doesn't care about Smackdown. In fact, I doubt he even knows what is happening on Smackdown half the time. So that allows the writers to do their job instead of having Vince and Steph do it for them. -
I would hope Grady Little has enough common sense to not move Nomar to a position where he'll be at a high risk of injury (i.e. any position other than first base). Izturis could see some time at 3B, or Furcal to 3B and Izzy to SS, or one at second, the other at SS, and Kent at 3B. Or he'll get traded.

This Dodgers-Phillies game is awesome. Dodgers were up 7-0 going into the 9th and the crowd has been chanting "We Want Gagne". They bring in Tim Hamulack instead and the crowd keeps cheering for the Phillies hits and booing when he gets an out.

Pearl Jam is going to be on VH1 Storytellers on July 1. -
I don't get it. They have four people from the Austin cast on there, who have never been in a RR/RW competition. How are they any less "Fresh Meat" than the other new people?
-
Hey, What's the song on Meeting People Is Easy when they're at the radio station and the visuals are a bunch of people walking up and down stairs, across a bridge and fading in and out of the scene?
-
Dodgers placed Jeff Kent on the DL and have called up another top prosect, this time it's Joel Guzman. He isn't starting tonight though. Also, Eric Gagne will be available to pitch out of the bullpen tonight.

I love how they're pushing a CHOP as such a devastating move.

They really should have waited till next week in Pittsburgh to announce Angle going to ECW. The ovation would have been huge.

So, Nitro debuting was pretty much...pointless?

EC DUB EC DUB EC DUB EC DUB I can't believe you posted that. You sick fuck.

Thanks a lot for posting this. I'm surprised about the Booker-Batista story as all the reports prior to this fight always seemed to paint Batista as such a good guy. And ECW being broadcasted live would be excellent. THAT'S RIGHT BITCH.

Recent Def Jam signee Nas will deliver his first album for the label in late September. The rapper made the announcement last night (May 18) while performing on the first leg of labelmates the Roots’ two-night stand at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The album is titled "Hip-Hop Is Dead,” according to a Def Jam representative, who also confirmed the September release. Nas capped off his roughly 15-minute set by pronouncing, “I'm working hard for y’all. I got an album coming out in September.” Def Jam president Jay-Z added Nas to the label’s roster in January, two months after the pair mutually dissolved their longtime feud. As previously reported, the new disc will be one of two albums to be jointly marketed by Def Jam and Columbia, Nas’ previous label. During a live chat on the Roc-A-Fella Web site in February, Jay-Z said that plans were underway to begin working on the project. Black Eyed Peas leader will.i.am also told Billboard.com that he was scheduled to record with Nas. "Hip-Hop Is Dead” will be the follow-up to 2004’s “Streets Disciple,” which peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 694,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In his 11 years with Columbia, Nas' catalog has sold 12 million units. The Roots concert also featured Common, Talib Kweli, Big Daddy Kane and saw a brief cameo from comedian Dave Chappelle, who billed many of the same artists for his 2004 Block Party in Brooklyn, N.Y. Tonight's second round of performances will feature Erykah Badu, Mos Def, J. Davey and Angelique Kidjo. Source: billboard.com

Well, they're coming out with Lost action figures & Locke is the set. Not that it 100% means he won't be killed off, but I doubt he will yet.

That ending was pretty weak. Ohhhh Desmond's GF has been looking for him? Lame. the only answer we really got was that the Island and the pushing of the button is important. Whoop-Dee. Good episode...but I was just a little disappointed. Now, the only thing I look forward to is what Jack and Kate and Sawyer will do to escape (they all gave each other a "look" at the end) and if Ecko and Locke are still alive.

Him getting screwed and then joining the ECW revolt is the only option using WWE-logic. Vince won't let his boy Cena go there and get embarassed. And he won't let RVD disgrace the WWE title by winning it and then trashing it. The only thing that can happen is for RVD to get screwed.

Eminem is a good one, forgot to mention him.
