    Scary Thought on Dalip Singh

Dalip Singh might honestly be the worst wrestler on the planet right now. In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to say he's the worst wrestler to EVER step into the ring. And because of that, I'm going to have to order the next PPV to see him wrestle. He's so bad that you can't help but watch.

Why on earth did the WWE change Brent Albright's name to Gunner Scott? GUNNER SCOTT?!!? If anything screams "bland jobber", it's a name like Gunner Scott. What was wrong with Brent Albright? It's a fine name, and doesn't sound like anyone else's name in the WWE (not that Gunner Scott does either). Little decisions like this just boggle my mind.

    LOST

'Lost' producers lobby for scheduling change Tuesday, April 4 2006, 20:50 BST - by Neil Wilkes The producers of Lost are seeking a new scheduling model for the show in the US to curb the frequency of repeats. Most US series, including Lost, typically air 22 new episodes each season over a period of 36 weeks, meaning that new episodes are often punctuated with repeats of old episodes. US Lost fans have complained that having to wait many weeks for a new episode has ruined their enjoyment of the show. 24 has successfully avoided the problem by delaying its return from September to January each year before airing its full season without interruption. Although Lost's broadcaster, ABC, is unwilling to adopt a similar strategy, show producers have come up with a compromise solution. "We're lobbying ABC for when the show is on, it's on, and when it's off, it's off," exec producer Damon Lindelof told E! Online. "So, we want to air it in three acts next year. You know, blocks of seven, seven and eight. But in order to do that, we have to roll the show out in October instead of September, and hopefully that will work out."

Still sucks, the guy was so dominant a few years ago and now this. I assume he was probably roiding. Here's hoping Broxton develops soon.

How would you rebuild the WWE tag division?

Smackdown! could have a pretty kickass tag division if they just gave it some time. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to just combine the belts and move the division exclusively to Smackdown. MNM, London/Spanky and The Mexicools are already on the show and could all have some great matches. I wouldn't be opposed to the WWE bringing in Jeff Hardy to reunite the Hardy Boyz. I imagine a feud between them and MNM would be pretty sweet. Plus, they could revive the TLC tag matches with London and Spanky and MNM. Now that Brent Albright is up on the roster and they're doing the angle with Benoit as his "mentor", they could put them in a tag team where Benoit is helping show him the ropes. Obviously this storyline, like all storyline's like this, will eventually end in Albright turning on Benoit, but they could get some great tag matches out of it before that. The best thing they could do is just let tag teams get over with promos, vignettes, etc. Give us a reason to care about them before we see them in the ring. Like, for example, The Bashams were a pretty solid team, IMO, but they were just kind of thrown out there with no real story behind it, and so nobody really cared about them.
  12. RVD is a lot more popular. Benoit did, and still does, get "respect" pops. Like, everyone loves him, but there isn't a majority of die-hard Benoit fans like there are RVD fans, that will chant his name all match, or buy his merchandise (although Benoit hasn't exactly gotten the most choice merchandise items). If Benoit was going up against another top face, he'd probably get booed, but RVD wouldn't. Even when Cena was at the height of his popularity on Smackdown, and he faced RVD in some #1 contendership tournament, RVD was more over.

I meant 50/50 in terms of the booing/cheering changes from week to week depending on the city. Like for the Angle-Cena feud, Cena got booed a lot each week, but then was getting cheered again during the Edge feud. Then the first couple of weeks of the feud with HHH, the crowd shit all over him, but then on the last two RAW's before WM, the crowds loved him and were chanting his name non-stop. Then of course we come back to the last two nights, where once again he's getting booed fiercly, but next week he could be back to being the mega babyface again.

See, I disagree.. I like what the WWE is doing right now, they are just kind of letting the fans decide on what/who they're going to cheer for in his thing. I think the Edge-Cena-HHH feud that plays out over the next month or whatever should be really fun. The dynamic with Cena is strange and is something I don't think any of us have ever seen before in wrestling. The TV crowds are about 50/50, half the time they're in a city that likes him, the other half he gets the shit booed out of him - but the house show crowds LOVE him, and he still sells merchandise out the ass. So it's not as easy as just saying, "OK, let's turn him heel now"

Carlito really has the charisma to be a huge star for this company. The crowds totally dig him, I never got the appeal of him but I am starting to now. One thing he needs is a good finishing move.

Mike Mooneyham's latest article is online, featuring a talk with John Cena about Wrestlemania, The Marine, where he sees his career in 10 years, and more. Lots of interesting bits of information, including Cena claiming he designs all his own merchandise, and stating that it was his decision to stop rapping on WWE TV. Credit PWInsider

Haha, I'm so glad Cena won. Fuck the Cena haters and fuck Triple H. Cena's crowd reactions are fucking gold, NOBODY in the company that I can remember gets the unbelievably varied crowd reactions that Cena does, and it makes the matches so much more fun. I just wish they would have done a double turn and have Cena destroy H with chair's after the match. Sidenote: Did anyone else notice CM Punk as one of Cena's "gangsters" ?

The show never ends at exactly 11:00. For most PPV's it's scheduled as 8:00 to 11:00, but it normally ends around 10:40. So the pillow fight probably goes 5 minutes, then you get waste 10 more minutes on the hype video and entrances, and get a 15-20 minute match.

Dude, Angle HAS to win this match. Aside from the fact that the crowd is clearly booing Rey and Orton. HE ALREADY MADE THEM EACH TAP OUT ONCE IN THE MATCH!!

JBL-Benoit was garbage. All the matches have sucked so far, although RVD winning was cool.

The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.

The Bret speech was so fucking short. I mean really - is getting to today's 10th airing of Law and Order SVU really THAT important? After all the hype and anticipation surrounding it, they should have aired at least 15 minutes of it. I wonder how badly the Owen pizza story was cut. It's like, he goes from - "then the caller was asking me about extra toppings, and saying he'd charge me" *cut to crowd* "Well, that's Owen" *cut to Booker T nearly falling out of his chair in laughter* I'm guessing we missed the actual funny part of the story.
