EDIT: the site was gone, but it's back now.. no worries

I don't like taped shows, it's one of the reasons I have a hard time getting into Smackdown on a regular basis. RAW is more fun to watch even when it's shitty because it's LIVE. Everything you're seeing his happening right as you watch it, the embarassing stuff, the shitty stuff, the great stuff, there's no editing in crowd reactions and no editing out bad skits or segments, they just throw it out there and we get to see it as it happens, and get to hear what the crowd REALLY thinks of it. With that being said, I felt really bad for John Cena last night, I think Triple H really pulled one of the biggest scumbag moves I've seen in wrestling in quite sometime. Instead of going out there to try to help get his WM opponent over, he goes out there and totally shits on him in front of a crowd that already didn't like Cena in the first place. And it felt so real, you could see the emotion in the ring, Triple H was geniuely enjoying the burial and Cena looked like he just wanted to crawl under a rock. It was really embarassing to watch.

The One and Only Raw Thread for February 27th, 2006
UZI Suicide replied to Art Sandusky's topic in The WWE Folder
CONFIRMED: The Intercontinental Title will NOT be defended for the fourth straight WrestleMania. -
Oh yes, the heel Animal vs. Matt Hardy feud that the wrestling world has been clamoring for is finally coming to fruition.

Ok, that's weird, the site is back up now. It must have just gone back up literally within the last 2 minutes or so, because when I made this thread the site was gone, and I checked another forum and they said it had been down all day.

Haley Joel Osment will play him in the movie.
-
Fuck, they could have at least had a run-in to save SOME face for Rey and give him someone to face at WM. Now he'll be in some lame ass "Eddie tribute match" with Chavo.

What did the Heartthrobs do? I guess I'm out of the loop.

Hey, what happened to Byte This? There's no link to it on WWE.com anymore

I just got your PM, I definitely want in.

It's pretty clear what's going to happen. The album will be released, a video will come out that gets played on MTV every 10 minutes, they'll launch a huge world tour. Axl will trash a few hotel rooms, dive into the crowd to beat up some fans, then leave the concert, then altogether not even show up to the rest of the shows, and the tour will be cancelled.
-
Axl's voice sounds a little Robert Plant-esque on the first one, that's a decent song but the guitar work is a little flat The beginning of the second one is horrible, sounds like a Nine Inch Nails b-side. Once he starts singing it sounds good, and his voice sounds normal. Still, nothing that can compare to the old GNR. He needs Slash.

I'll play if there's any open spots.
-
They'll induct the midget Bret Hart.
-
Manning is playing like it's a playoff game.

You know what's gonna happen, right? The clock hits 0 and the episode will end, and then we'll get some fucking month long break before we find out what happens. Although Rudo is probably right, it may end up not even being a big deal. Or maybe it isn't even real, maybe it's just Locke or someone dreaming that it hits 0.

The Universal Studios crowd is too smarky for Goldberg. They'd turn on him from day 1.
-
Why is ESPN turning it into "Monday Night Redskins" ? Theisman is a huge Redskins homer since he played for them, and Kornheiser writes for the Washington Post so he probably has a lot of bias for the Skins as well.

I thought about this when the story about Tony Dungy's son committing suicide came out. And I'm not trying to downplay whatever problems he was going through because I don't know him and don't know what his life was like, and I do feel bad about what happened. Now, I'm sure everyone here went through the normal teenage problems.. breaking up with girls, not getting the grades you wanted, peer pressure, wanting to rebel from your parents, etc. Now years later you look back on that and realize how stupid it was to get so mad or depressed over things like that. But why does it seem like so many teen suicides are because of those reasons? it seems so many times when you hear about a teenager committing suicide it's over something like breaking up with a girl, or not being accepted by people at school..just such petty stuff. And theneveryone feels sorry for them instead of realizing how selfish they were for leaving their friends and family like that. Meanwhile, you hardly hear any suicide stories about teens who are REALLY going through problems. Being homeless, living in rough neighborhoods, not being able to afford school, having parents in jail or dead, being abused by a family member, etc. It seems like those people always fight to make it out and get a better life for themselves So, why do you think that is? Is it just the survival of the fittest? Are many of them just too mentally weak?
