Anyone else think that after a slow start this has been and could be one of the best September and October yet. There are sooo many things going on in baseball at the moment, Bonds returning and hes hitting home runs and if he and his team catch the Pardres it would be something special. The AL east, west, possibly the central if Cleavand keep it up are all tight races and we have Red Sox vs Yanks series and A's vs Angles eries to look forward to. Of course the MVP race in the AL is very intresting with I feel whoever guides their team to the post season will pick it up. There is still the NL wild card which can still change and all that is even before October.

Why is everyone saying the score should have been more emphatic?? Hve you not seen the Pats over the last few years they hardly ever really dominate teams. And they are not as good as the last few years either, I acually expected the Pats to win by 3-7 points.

Any team with the pitching staff like Houston have got were always going to go on a run sometime during the season. Looks more and more possible that the winner of the NL west will finish under .500, when was the last time this happened?

Duno what has been so bad about the last few raws, I see no real difference between the quality of raws since about late 2001 until now, except for maybe the period just after wrestlemania last year which was of a higher quality. So what your saying about this raw you could basically pick out most raws from 2002/05 and say the exact same thing

So you want a centre fielder look no further than the hitting machine that is Grady Sizemore

Everything about that 10 man tag is perfection, MEGA, MEGA, MEGA hot crowd, not not at the end but all the way through the match. Crowd go ape shit for Too Cool at the start, the Rock's hot tag half way through was INSANE, the heat for Trips and Cactus was off the charts, the chaos at the start of the match was great, the chaos was intergrated with some great wrestling, and just when you thought that was it KANE comes out and the crowd eat it up. Basically this match represents all that was great about first 6 months of 2000 all roled into one 15 min match

ha ha 11 runs for cards in the bottom of the first

Yes, traditionally they are but, they have drifted slightly left in the last 10 years whilest Labour have moved a lot to the right in the last 10 years, since Blair became leader. Hence now the Lib Dems are slightly more left of Labour. The Lib Dems also have a tendancty to act very leftist in seats they hope to win off Labour and be seen as a centre party when fighting the conservatives. I feel its impossible anymore to win any western election left of centre

Anyone else miss the "good old days" of 2000?
megaadvice replied to Jingus's topic in General Wrestling
I loved 2000 so much, especially the first 6/7 months. For me the PPV of the year was Fully loaded, a very hot 6 man tag to start things off, an underated euro title match with Eddie, Malenko and Saturn, a shockingly good cage match between Val and Rakishi, and 2 ****+ insainly hot main events. Only bad thing about the show, Anglevs Taker and the booking, Angle should have gone over against Taker and Jericho should have gone over against Trips. First half of 2000 and the first 4 months of 2001 is the closest you can get to perfection, great storylines AND great wrestling throughout the card (tag, undercard ect) 1998-1999 had great stroylines but some extreamly poor wrestling, esp second half of 99, and btween May-Dec 2001 some great wrestling and poor storylines -
Just finished watching it and thought it was a very good PPV, especially the first half with 2 fantastic matches. I dont care what "star rating" people give HBK vs Angle but for me entertainment wise is was 5 stars, i know if we are being strict its in the 4 star region but I was on the edge of my seat for 30 mins entertained so thats all that matters. Ladder match was great too, I thought Taker and Orton did an alrite job aswel the match turned out better than i thought it might. Rey and eddie was good but could have been better, JBL vs cena was poor, as was big show match and womens title match. Main event was fine GREAT last 5 mins, i would not have mined if HHH had gone over as long as they keep batista hot thats all that matters. Anyway 2 great matches, 3 good ones and 3 poor ones makes for a good show

Bseball is supposed to be boring to some people, to appriciate a game of baseball you have to understand thats its not going to be all action for 3 hours. All great baseball games/seasons/series tell a story you dont have to rivited on the edge of your seat for 3 hours to enjoy it. Every game can have a mini story to it, eg that "great pitcher pitting his skills against a top batsman" and seeing who will come out on top in that mini duel. Basketball on the other hand is the most repetative shit game you can wish to see when I think about boring a look to basketball, match goes, "team A gets the ball scores, team B get it scores, a gets it rebound team b scores, a get it scores on and on and on with that shit for 60 fucking mins no thanks

BBC asks Bob Marley for an interview...
megaadvice replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in Current Events
American news is fucking awful compared to BBC news no wonder most americans have no idea what is going on in the world and a decent persective of world issues. I'm not having a go at americans only at their shitty news -

Argueing about this is piontless, it is the sort of matter that your either going to be for or against depending on where your coming from politically. Anyway you say the minimum wage will RISE to $7 something, just for comparison the minimum wage in the UK is going to rise to £5.15 next year. If i'm right the exchange rate now is around 1.90, so in the UK the minimum wage would be about $9.70 an hour

So basically I was talking to one of my friends today who I have known for about 5 years, we were talking about religion (duno how we got onto the subject) anyway she is a christian and she told me that when she prays she acually talks to God, she says she speaks to him in a whole different language. I asked her to speak some of it but she would'nt, she then sort of got wired about the whole thing, I could tell by the tone of her voice she wasnt joking she was being dedly serious. I trust her and trust me she was NOT making this up. Anyway the question I want to ask is has anyone had this "talking to God" experience or has anyone heard anything about it? Please no replies of "shes lying" or "its a load of shit"

I really liked the Indi vs San Diago game, duno what week it was but it was the game that Manning broke the record. The Chargers played incredibly for 3 quaters but then Manning took over, and if I remember rightly threw a touchdown to tie the game and break the record with less than a min to go. The game itself was really overshadowed by Manning getting the record, Indi ended up winning in OT
