Yeah, most def. The AL is more top heavy (Two best teams) while the NL has more good teams (Braves, Cards, Giants, Cubs, Astros, Padres, Dodgers, Phillies, Marlins).

Wrestling has been my favorite form of entertainment on T.V. for nearly 17 years, a couple of dry spells isn't gonna stop me from watching.

Looks like the Cardinals signed Roberto Alomar to a one year deal. Whoop-tee Doo.

NEW YORK -- The Diamondbacks and Yankees have agreed on a deal that would send Randy Johnson to the New York for Javier Vazquez, prospects and cash, major league sources told ESPN. The paperwork has not yet been submitted to the baseball commissioner's office, but that is the next step for the deal to be finalized. Peter Gammons reported earlier Thursday that the on-again, off-again trade would be completed once the teams agree on the amount of money and the minor leaguers to be included in the deal. Gammons also reported that in addition to Vazquez, the deal would include catching prospect Dioneer Navarro, at least one other prospect and about $8 million going to the Diamondbacks in exchange for the 41-year-old lefty. According to Gammons' sources, Arizona will not immediately deal Vazquez to another team, but will continue to talk to interested teams, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit and Texas. Once a deal is official, the Yankees would then have to work out a contract extension for Johnson. According to the New York Daily News' sources, the discussion has been to add two years to Johnson's deal at $16 million each year.

Which former WCW really benefited from going to
MikeJordan23 replied to MikeJordan23's topic in General Wrestling
Interesting take. A lot of people areof the opinion Austin would never blow up in WCW, with the thought Hogan wouldn't allow another wrestler to reach that status. I'm not sure about that. Though I'm not sure he'd be a big star in WCW either. I would suspect he would be world champion or maybe the biggest contender, but never the biggest star in wrestling history (One of the two anyway...) -
Is WWF building to Batista/HHH at Wrestlemania?
MikeJordan23 replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
If they do HHH vs.Batista, I wouldn't mind Orton vs. The Rock. But that has obvious problems if they want to keep Orton over as a face, but him beating The Rock at WM would make a big impact in building his character then anything else they could do, outside of a Triple H match. Prefer if they didn't do Shawn Michaels vs. Orton, so they can have him open for a match against Angle, if they even go that route. -
It makes the board crash so they moved the Raw threads to http://randown.hosted-forum.com/

The WWE did count it (Not sure if they still do) when he debuted. So, I'd say it's debatable if it's recognized. I'd bet 10 years from now it'll be recognized like the Andre title reign is.
-
He was in the main event from the world title tournament against Bret Hart at WCW Mayhem, though I'm betting its only because it was WCWs only PPV that took place in Canada. Yeah, that's right. Forgot about that one, and yeah definitely cause of the Canadian audience.

That was the one and only time. I used to watch WCW as much asWWF/WWE and I don't even remember another one on one World Title match he wasin.

Jaguars have a tie-breaker over Denver and Buffalo Denver has a tie-breaker over Buffalo Buffalo has a tie-breaker over the Jets
-
There's already rumors that if Pitt wins today, they'll rest their starters in Buffalo next week. Denver has to play Indy next week. So Buffalo is looking really, really good right now. Not to mention, Jets still have to win a game to clinch 5th seed, and Bills hold tie-breakers over them Problem with Denver in Indiapolis nextweek is that Colts might not be playing for anything, and might rest Manning for most of the game.

Probably thought as a given. One of my favorite books, sports or otherwise.

For starters or example Hogan was scheduledto be at Starrcade 1983 they even announced him on the Mid-Atlantic TV show as one of the participants on the card. (This is true for a fact) Ultimate Warrior was supposed to win the world title at Summer Slam 1992 (This, how true it is I'm not sure, but I've heard it numerous times)

No real biases against but for Curt Hennig Bret Hart The Undertaker Goldberg RVD Booker T. Xian

Without looking it up myself, how many teams are good when they don't use any of their three best pitchers? Point is, the other GM's aren't considered geniuses. I mean, the Twins have won 3 straight division titles with a minute payroll and no one calls their GM a genius.
-
Matt Morris when healthy is easily a number 2, and an Ace on a lot of teams. Check his career statistics, up there with some of the top pitchers of the last 6 years. And Walt Jockett is one of the best GMs, easily. Look at some of the trades he's made from Edmonds, to Rolen, to Mcguire, picking up Carpenter for nothing, and has one of the best teams in the league with a payroll that couldn't pay for the Yankees infield. Billy Beane, no question he's good, but we'll find out how great he is without the big 3 anymore. He's gonna have to build a winning team all over again. He has built a huge reputation with using this moneyball philosophy, but his teams winning percentage when the Big 3 don't pitch, isn't good at all. John Shurholz is clearly the best to me. 13 straight division titles with atleast 3 significant revamped teams. Unbelievable.
-
I don't know about that. Defense is much more important for those positions then offense, and we have tons regardless if we get a better hitting SS. Pujols, Edmonds, Rolen, Walker, Sanders alone is probably 150 HR, plus Molina will get better.

I found Chavez comments funny What the hell?...I don't understand. I don't know whether to be mad or shocked or what. I wasn't going to step in and say who we should keep, but I think this is getting borderline ridiculous." --Eric Chavez, Athletics third baseman, on trading Mulder and Hudson (San Francisco Chronicle) "This is a whole new revamping of a team. We just lost two of the best pitchers in all of baseball, what are we looking for? I'm totally flustered right now. Who's next? Zito?" --Chavez (San Francisco Chronicle) baseballprospectus.com

Agreed, thougb I'd hope the second time around the third team gets more out of the Yankees than Javier and some unproven prospects. I mean that trade made no sense for the Dodgers, aside from getting the payroll down.

Suprising moves that a wrestler has used.

The Steiners faced Sid Vicious and Dan Spivey at Clash IX. They faced Doom at Clash X and they faced them before that at Halloween Havoc '89. Scott debuted the move at Clash VIII on both Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin. Yeah I know. But Ron Simmons did a run-in, and caught a wicked Frankensteiner. I think Nitron interfered in that match too.
