I hear the Cardinals are interested in Randy Johnson, but I don't see them talking much about Carl Pavano? We have a lot of propsects, so I think getting Johnson would probably be easier than getting Pavano (Since there's atleast 5 teams going at him), but hopefully they make an attempt. The owner told Walt that the payroll will be relatively the same it was this season, so who knows? They also have the try to re-sign Edgar. I wouldn't touch Morris, and let Matheny go unless you could get him back cheap.

Best and Worst Entrances and Music ever
MikeJordan23 replied to hbkhhhmark4life's topic in General Wrestling
Best Entrance: Goldberg Best entrance music: Bad Street U.S.A/ Jive Soul Bro Worst Entrance: Goldust Worst Entrance Music: Stone Cold's theme when he was in the Alliance. Terrible. -
I don't think Beltran has done enough to be considered on the Vlad/A-Rod level just yet. He has the potential to get there, but right now he's a notch below. And ten years is waaay too long. A good 5 year contract for 100 million is fine. And he's not going to get 25 million year, unless it's from the Yankees. I don't see any other team breaking the bank like that for one player.

lol. I only caught the tail end of it. But Chris always acts like a prick to guest (Unless they're really close, no homo), I remember when Sean Salibury (Who I dislike but...) put him in his place. Entertaining radio.

Most are of the "He's a Yankee, I don't want a Yankee managing the Mets" variety. Nobody's really complaing about his ability on the managerial aspect. A few have said a first time manager shouldn't get his start as a Met
-
Mike and Chris (WFAN Sports Radio) seem to have more of a problem with this hiring then most Met fans. They have some personal conflicts with him apparently, so who knows how much that factors in. The calls seem to be 50/50 on it so far.

When Goldberg gave Hogan the spear during the Title Match. I jumped out of my seat. When eddy guerrero came out to Austin song, and J.R. almost had a heart attack.

1.) Favorite world title match at the PPV? Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels SS 1992 2.) Favorite SSeries team elimination match? Forgot about the Alliance match. That one was by far the best. 3.) Favorite face / heel (or both) SSeries team assembled? Shawn's team at the Wild Card Match in 1995 4.) Favorite non-world title, non-team battle match other than Austin / Hart? Mr.Perfect ad Savage vs. Flair and Razor 5.) Favorite segment? Flair and Perfect after they cost Hogan the title against the Undertaker 6.) Things you hated besides the Montreal Screwjob? Obvious.... -
Basically. GG is a reputation award most times.

A-Rod next to Jeter helped Jeter's defense a lot this year. Surprised A-rod didn't win for 3rd base.

Good album. Days Of Our Lives is dope as shit. I, of course, didn't buy the album cause I haven't bumped De La Soul since "The Stakes Is High", but yeah. Pos did his thing. Mos Def's album is a terrible. Almost not really a rap album, too much singing. Disappointed. *Waits Nas LP, better be better than the recent bullshiit he's been releasing*

Without a doubt. His career OPS is the tenth best all time, and his OBP is 11th best all time. He's got two MVP awards, and numerous top ten finishes. For seven years, he was a better hitter than Albert Pujols is now. No he wasn't. his 1994 season, would've been better than any Pujols year, but that's it really.A few years he had a higher OBP. But Pujols Career OPS is over 1.000, his hr years are bigger than Thomas' and so is his slugging percentages aside from 1994, and that wasn't a full season. And Pujols finished second in MVP last two years, and would've won if it wasn't for, you know, the best hitter in Baseball's last 50 years not being there. And he'll probably finish second or third this year. You can't really compare Pujols' career stats to Thomas', because Frank Thomas has spent a few years in the decline phase of his career. When Thomas was 29, his career OPS stood at 1.052, which at the time was the fourth best ever. Pujols' OPS will decline when he enters his 30s and beyond. The key to Thomas is his OBP. Four straight years over .450 is INSANE. In fact, his career OBP is better than Pujols in any year except last. But that's besides the point. Pujols is on a HOF level. And any player who is even comparable to him is likely at that level as well. Fair enough.

I heard Smoltz wants to be a starter, not sure how Atlanta feels about that?! A team on the brink or someone who needs a big time Ace might wanna take a chance on that. The Cubs should DEFINITELY go after Percival to fix their bullpen problems. Hopefully the Cardinals don't resign Morris, I might pick up the option on Williams. Gammons said the Cardinals are 50-50 signing Renteria because they're looking for a top-flight ace, and don't have money to spend like that (He mentioned Randy Johnson, not sure about their minor-league system, or who really on the active roster the Diamondbacks would be interested in). I'd like to see a rotation of, Carpenter, Haren, Ankiel, Williams, and Big Time Picter (Pedro, Pavano, Johnson???) next year, and maybe sign Orland Cabrera and look for another second baseman.

D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan
MikeJordan23 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
You obviously aren't black, cause that's FAR and AWAY the most offensive thing you can be called. And saying someone should not get upset over being called a "Nigger" is ignorant as hell. Saying he shouldn't literally put his hands on another person over a word, then you have a point. I'm wondering how are you supposed to control your emotions when someone goes that far? Now you should be able to contain yourself enough not to attack somebody, but not to care? WTF you think this is? I, personally, would spit in duke eye after the show. And you have just proven my point. If you're black and being called the 'N word' gets you so riled up, then don't become a wrestler. You'll get called that all the time if you're a heel. So I shouldn't enter an occupation I'm good at because of some ignorant fan? That's silly. Who cares how "riled" up he gets as long as he doesn't injury the fan? There's been plenty of altercations between fans and wrestlers, too. Hell, Eddy Guerrero has had a few, you think he doesn't belong in the business? Not saying he's right, but wrestlers are HUMAN too. I guarantee a significant amount of wrestlers have atleast "seriously" threatened physical harm or had to be restrained from getting at a fan. It's not as simple as "It's your job, don't get mad". If it was the simple, then there would never be incidents like this (Supposedly)
