An excellent homage to the original series while also working as a good starting point for a reset franchise. Oh, and it's a good standalone movie too. The first 10-15 minutes of the movie immediately establish this Jason as someone not to be fucked with. The theater I was in gave a huge ovation once the sequence ended. You get the impression that the filmmakers watched the first few Fridays, picked out their favorite shots/moments, and figured out how to incorporate them into the script. A lot more sex and drugs in this film (with T+A around the level of Part V). An updated soundtrack using cues from Manfredini and a lot of hip popular music from various genres. Unlike Rob Zombie, the F13 team knows how to write dialogue that is believable and appropriate for the characters. Definitely worth watching if you're a fan of slasher movies.

Don't forget that the draft usually means post-draft layoffs.

Christian's Re-debut in WWE has occurred!

The opening segment was just AWESOME. What a shocking return done perfectly...right down to the camera being focused on the tron so you could see Christian's video start before his music hit. It looks like they have posed video of him in HD in his tron...I wonder when they shot that and why no one mentioned it when he came to the video shoot? His new music sounds like Hawthorne Heights did it. Matt Striker had one of the best announcer lines I have heard in ages later that night: "This is one of those moments where you call your friends up because you KNOW they're watching...and you enjoy it together!" In that one line, Striker showed me how is still a fan of this business who understands what it feels like to mark the fuck out. That's something I really admire about him; unlike all other announcers on the WWE roster, he can still connect with the feeling of being a wrestling fan and can speak their language instead of talking down to them. And poor Jack Swagger. First the belt unsnapped and fell off his waist, then Christian mocks his lisp, then he nearly trips on his way up the ring steps before his match. (Watch again and it looks like he's looking at a fan to his left and he stubs his toe on a step, so he catches himself by leaning on the ringpost to regain his balance.) -

I think Grisham was going for "shocked" with his reaction. -
Wonder if they'll still call him Kane the Undertaker.

Well, an Empty Arena Match can take place at most TNA house shows given their lack of attendance.
-
Looks like Shane might be injured given he took about 3 minutes to recover from that highspot. That might mean the PPV match might look more like Cena/Jesus than Shane/Angle.

Bingo. I'd expect Victoria, BC won't see a WWE show for another five years or so.
-
Indeed. I thought for sure RVD would get the strap in that triple threat match at No Mercy 2001.
-
Well, I'd imagine the fan base had changed from the Bruno era to the Hogan era.

The plan was always going to be to restart WCW a month or two after Mania.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

It was a stinger. Orndorff was fine afterward. -
Apparently Tommy Dreamer's kayfabe contract expiration is in July, not in June. I guess that clears up that plot hole.
-
I would presume this means we get Finlay-Swagger for the title at No Way Out.
-
Lex Luger's piledriver finisher used to be called the Attitude Adjuster.
-
WOAH PRICELESS YEAH
-
Don't try to justify it, just call it a Plot Hole and be done with it.
-
No, given they have different rules.
-
Way to spin WM2 as a good event.
-
Regal screaming for no reason = awesome.

Odd request: I'm looking for a match from the July 8, 2001 episode of WWE Heat. It was a WCW Tag Team Title match between Palumbo/O'Haire vs Sean Stasiak/Kanyon; this was the 3rd and last WCW match before ECW joined the Invasion the next night.
-
WWE One Night Stand is now WWE Extreme Rules (as seen on WWE.com).
-
Regal vs. Mysterio will either be great or horrible with little middle ground.

Benoit was shown lying on the mat in the background of a shot in the WM21 package.
