Mr. Kennedy is a fucking lame ass

Obviously the gimmick has gone way over your head. The guy's name IS Mr. Kennedy Kennedy. What do you think "Ken" is short for? I foresee great things for Kennedy. He will get a program with Eddie/Rey in due time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But didnt he do the same thing as Mr Anderson on Velocity? I think its just a boxing announcer gimmick where he repetes the last word twice.

Whats the record for comeback after "retirement"

Looser Leaves WCW on one of the Clashes in 1995 I believe. Kevin Sullivan did beat Mick Foley and I think Foley never showed up in WCW again. I guess that doesnt count though since Foley never returned again.
  3. I started watching in 1993 and the Hogan return was hyped big and the swedish announcers said stuff like "listen to the crowd" and alike. I never really understood it because the reaction wasnt that big. Just because of the hype I did like him but I was always dissapointed with him as well. I got to know him more when he went to WCW but started to dislike him because the commentators didnt do kayfabe in Sweden so we got to know of the backstage politics and stuff. The only stuff I really saw from Hollywood Hogan was the initial turn at the Bash 96 which I saw in videotape (this was after they stopped airing wrestling over here and before the Internet was around in every house). I never saw any more WCW really and the only other period of HH Hogan was when nWo made their WWE debuts. * I was disapionted initially but liked him in 1993. * I hated him in 95 in WCW * I loved the Bash 96 angle * I thought the nWo stuff in WWE was ok but not much more * After the face turn the reactions he got was impressive... for about a week then I would get bored with him again. I cant decide whats best really. I probably like the Hollywood stuff more (from what I have seen of it).
  4. So whats up with this guys teeth? He did have normal teeth on tough enough if I remember correctly. Is it fake? Has he been in some sort of accident? Or worst case scenario, has he had them pulled out to give the gimmick more credibility?

    Smackdown Non-Spoilers

They should just give up on Jordan vs Benoit. Or even better, give up on Jordan all together. Fire his ass.

    Your Criteria for what constitutes...

For me the main thing about wrestling that entertain me is the wrestling itself. So for me great matches are what makes a good PPV. However I do enjoy good booked and hot stuff such as Hogan vs Rock (the crowd did most of that one). However good matches is the main thing because that is what entertains me. A sad turnoff can be a good PPV card with a crappy main event. Somehow the whole card seems to drag it down then. Also the opening match should set a good pace. A bad match most easily slips out of my mind if its placed second to a great opener.
  7. So it's been shot full of chemicals then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At least they didnt lie about it

    Bobby Lashley

I always thought of him as a dork actually. Thats how he acts anyway. Maybe thats just his gimmick in TNA but Im not convinced that he will become huge as a wrestler.

    New IWGP Title Belt

I like the IWGP belt. It looks really nice. The old belt looked cool as well but I dont think it was as good as the idea looked in the head of whoever made it. The new one looks great. Classy! Old belt: http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/fight/pict/2..._iwgp_top_b.jpg

    *Smackdown Non-Spoiler Match Listing*

Why would anyone would think that card would be good tv?

    Bobby Lashley

Impressed? Not all that much to be honest. He's very big and I immediately thought of Bob Sapp. He seems to be ok in the ring (remember Im only judging from this one match). He had more than the usual OVW big guy has when he comes up. However he just uses a regular and boring name and his theme was the usual stuff (i.e. boring rock thing). One thing that a guy like Masters has going for him is his great entrance with a theme that is really unique in todays WWE. This was just the usual thing. I feel that he needs more of a persona or gimmick. With that being said he recieved quite a good reaction from the live crowd without the help of an awesome theme or a cool gimmick. Thats a plus for sure. Lets wait and see how they will push him. He has shown some potential sp we'll see how he is used and if he can handle it.
  12. Two of my favorites are WCW's big gold belt as well as the current non-Cena WWE championship. I think Smackdown had some silver tag team straps that I liked as well around 2003 or something. I never liked Cenas spinning titles. With that being said I thought his US title belt was ok if it wouldnt have had the spinning plate. It looked different from previous belts. That is what maked the TNA X-division title work as well. Not a favorite of mine but its cool and personal with that big red X on it.

Kenta Kobashi on Raw Homecomming ??

The only way I would want that to happen is if he was brought in as a special attraction against somone he could have a AJPW/NOAH style match with. Give em 15 minutes and show what they got. In any other case I dont want it to happen at all. I dont think WWE could use Kobashi right at all.

Is Bischoff winning the title in two weeks?

Vince wont let the champion of his own organization be Eric Bischoff.

What is your WWE match of the 3/4 year?

Angle vs HBK (WM) is the best PPV match this year so far I think. I dislike the beginning (nothing against matwrestling or slow wrestling but it wasnt as good as it could have been) and the ending is ridiculous (how long can Shawn actually take a ankle lock? Still a awesome match. Regal vs Benoit - Hands down the best match on free tv. They did get a good amount of time and it was just plain hard wrestling. This is what I want from more of the wrestlers. Money in the bank ladder match - Best gimmick match of the year probably. Just a damn good ladder match. I also enjoyed JBL vs Cena a great deal but the finish was crap (I understand what they went for and the idea was cool but it fell flat when they did it).

    HBK is a little unhappy

I think HBK is dropping the ball on himself actually. This is of course me thinking it was he himself that refused to actually turn heel on Hogan both before and after their SS match. He's boring as a face. He has done the same thing since he came back from his injury. Who will he face that is a upper card heel right now? Carlito - no HBK thinks he's above the IC title Edge - maybe but he has his Matt Hardy angle now. Angle - been there, done that HHH - please not again If he had turned heel I feel his mic work would have improved (because I think its pretty damn dull right now). besides he would have several feuds that would feel new and he would get a shot at the WWE title. Cena - would work well I think Kane - well lets not do that. Could be ok if he played a cowardly heel that bumped his ass off. Flair - seeing as Flair seems to be a face nowadays RVD - I think they could do some good matches Benjamin - Well he isnt a upper carder but that matche they had on RAW really got people talking

    Randy Orton Shirt Poll

I like all three shirts. Its a good way to push his gimmick as well.
  18. Ok here is what I would do (some is the same as what I said in the thread "Set change for"): * Change the intro song for both RAW and SD since both suck. * Let one of the brands have Japan like corners. That is not three padded things for each rope but one large covering the whole corner. I believe ROH uses this as well. * Dont use a ramp on either RAW or SD. It should be used only at PPV's to make them look more special. * RAW is RED. Sure thats the way its always been and while I dont think they should move away totally from that color scheme I think something new is needed. * Maybe place the shows logo in the middle of the ring or on the turnbuckles/turnbuckle. * Smaller entrance. This is a part of not using the big ramps. I was always a fan of the small entrance ways where the face made sure to touch ever fans hands and the heel would do everything to avoid them/ignore them. * Hire writers who know what wrestling is all about. Fire the Hollywood writers. I want people who knows the business to do this job. * Unite the two tag divisions and make it exclusive to one show. * Stop trying to push a crusierweight division. Dont get me wrong I love the crusiers but as long as Vince is the head of WWE they wont get a fair chance. The crusiers would pair up in teams instead to make (the now single) tag division stronger. I think Vince would feel better pushing his lightweights as tag teams anyway. Kidman/London worked well for instance. * Stop trying to push a womens division. WWE fired most of its female wrestlers anyway. * Fire most of the Divas. What change is Torrie, Stacy, Ashle, Candice and Michelle McCool doing anyway? Keep the ones whoa ctually are important in some aspect to the product like Melinda. * Less PPV's during a year. I liked when they had 4 "interpromotional" PPV's and then had 4 PPV's for each brand during a year. I believe this was just after the seperation of RAW and SD. * Let WarGames, Hell in a Cell or the Elimination Chamber be PPV regulars. Like that you knew that the WarGames match would be on the Fall Brawl PPV. Just like the Royal Rumble match would be on The Royal Rumble. * Dont waste big gimmick matches on the tv shows. A few years ago they had so much cage and ladder matches on free tv they werent even special anymore. I understand them pushing the move to Friday Nights with a big gimmick match but otherwise dont use it to much on free tv. * Dont ude the escape rules in a cage match. Cage matches are made for one reason so that no one will be able to escape from the oponent. And why would the one who runs away fastest win the match? That makes no sense at all. * Stop the GM thing. They havent used it as much lately as before but it has still been done and nothing fun comes from it. There is just so many times you care about Bischoff making a handicap match between two heels and a face. * less run ins and ref-bumps during big matches. They have become better at this but they often use ref-bumps when they arent even needed for the ending of the match. * Boxing style intros for the wrestlers when its a title match. * make use of a tale of the tape * Try to introduce new commentary teams. JR and King are both pretty stale and boring and I dont like Cole and Coach. Josh is pretty good so make more use of him for example. He know pro-wrestling good as well. * I want more distinct personalities. Right now they dont have to many different people with distinct and individual personalities. We have the narcissist thing done by Masters, Sylvan (I guess) and Conway. Then we have alot of "Im just here persons like OJ, Shelton etc. And then we have the "Im big and therefore dangerous" people like Tomko, Kane, Snitsky, Batista etc. * Try to book in advance. Think long term and not short term. A friend (Perkoff) told me this as well. Maybe its only fun because we both like Puroresu. He had a idea that they could use Funaki as a part of the american announce team but he would speak Japanese. he would only say things maybe 15 second during a match. Preferable when someone made a big power move or a lariat. It would be hilarious to hear someone scream "Lariatoooooo" or "Power bombuhhhhhhh". Take this with a grain of salt. Its just something I would think was fun.

What would you change in WWE today

I think these points are essential actually. They need to establish the individual wrestlers better. So many people just look like eachother. Sometimes small things is enough like with RVD. You instantly see his, as JR would say, unorthodox trunks. This + a definite individual style makes him stand out. But to many people just feel so bland. The point is also an important one for the tag team division. At times it works when two strong individuals team up (I was a fan of the relationship between Benoit and Angle in their team for instance) but most of the time I want the two wrestlers to look the same. They might be trying to re-establish that with Cade and Murdoch, Hurricane and Rosey, The Heart Throbs, MNM, LOD 2005 etc. Even Venis and Viscera does have the same type of gimmick at least. Now whn I listed it I see that many teams in WWE do look alike and its a great thing. Alot better than the chance pairings of random superstars. A team needs to feel like a team.

    Best Austin/Rock Wrestlemania Match?

I havent seen WrestleMania 15 but I enjoy their match at WrestleMania 17 a whole lot more than the one at WrestleMania 19 (allthough it isnt a bad match or anything).

What would you change in WWE today

I agree that they need to cut down on the 25 minute promos (or even 15 minute promos). Some guys can ahndle it but most cant. And Im pretty worride that so many people STILL like Michaels on the mic. It might just be me but he bores me to death everytime he has a long promo. The one exception was the Montral one. I just find him hyping himself, not putting over anyone else. And I also hate it how he refused to go full fledge heel. Always trying to make up for kicking Hogans ass so that people would still cheer him.

What would you NOT change about the WWE?

I would not change: * Tazz on commentary * I would keep the two brands * I like the gimmicks/personalities of the following: Benoit, JBL, Masters, Eddie, Rey, Angle, RVD (if they keep the newly introduced "shoot gimmick"), Carlito, Christian and Regal. * Gimmick/personalities I dont necesarrily like but that they should keep because they work: Cena, Batista, HHH etc. * The big hype for WrestleMania as THE event of the year. * The Royal Rumbvle as something really important each year (basically a stepin making WrestleMania the biggest thing of the year). * The video packages are usually good. * I would keep Benoit as the US champ to make sure it would become a workrate title (like the plan was for a while). * Dont remove THE FIST~ from Smackdown. * The recent focus on making finishers mean the ultimate end. I say that with The Masterlock and the Crippler Crossface in regard. Also Takers tombstone if protected pretty good.

What would you change in WWE today

Yes, the planned matches need to go. I know Cornette is all for that idea. A match has to be executed so that it can change if the crowd response is other than what they plan for. Sometimes matches are just totally un-harmonious with the audience. Spots should be planned but not every single thing that happens in the match. Improvise! Im sure its better than what they are currently doing. It will make it easier on the wrestlers as well. More freedom to act like what the situation calls for.
  24. Well they can have a raised stage but I do prefer the wrestlers to walk to the ring on the same level as the fans. But I also agree that the former WCW ramp/current NOAH one it pretty cool. It also allows for some cool spots. The main thing for me is to change the themes for both RAW and SD and to change the set of RAW. It just looks dull.
