Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Jingus replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
I watched most of Glenn Beck and a little of Larry King and saw neither New Jack nor Hogan. (Hey, New Jack vs. Hulk Hogan, now THAT'S a match I'd pay to see!) -
Heyman also said "Fuck you" to Stephanie's face. When called into Vince's office to explain, he said yeah, he was sorry that he said it... because he meant to say "Go fuck yourself" instead.

And of course there's the irony of how Raw is drawing WORSE with all the new talent it took like Kobe Bryant taking some nookie drafted from Smackdown.

That's actually a good point. You can't get killed in a car wreck if you never get in a car. So it's pretty doubtful that Khali could get hurt Wrestling. Although... remember all those various torn quads caused by extreme, uh, walking. -
It has to be Rey Misterio. ever sence they started airing his return promos, thats when the ratings started to slip. Yep. its definlly him.

CAPTAIN FUCKING HARRIS is on that show?! That's it, never watching Raw again.

Besides, they don't have the money. If the family is suing someone, it'll be someone with deep pockets to pay out punitive damages. So that pretty much narrows it down to either the WWE or Dr. Astin's insurance provider. -

I wouldn't. Years back, my brother got an entire load of plates dropped directly on his head at one of those. He was, like, 8 at the time, and those big earthenware motherfuckers cracked and broke they hit him so hard. He developed seizures afterwards. And yet it took a DECADE LONG LAWSUIT for Cracker Barrel to part with a measely couple thousand bucks in repayment. -
Shhh, don't spoil the flimsy logic that the whole marketing industry relies on!

Basically, the company became more corporate and more controlled by other people, until Inoki was either forced out or quit, depending on how you believe. Happens all the time when a formerly homegrown mom-n-pop company grows into a big publicly traded corporation. -

I wouldn't go THAT far. -

"Estate"? Who would that be, his first wife and earlier kids? That would be pretty fucking heartless and stupid. Yes, Bret and Shawn didn't draw much. That's cuz NOBODY in that time period drew much. Not them, not Yokozuna, not Sid, not Undertaker, and especially not Nash. It's bullshit to blame the low numbers on them being regular-sized guys. -
...and NOBODY in the WWE executive branch realizes that the massive ratings drop happened to occur right after one of their top wrestlers turned mass murderer?

Arquette once tried a splash off the top rope. If Khali tried to do that, it'd literally be a suicide dive. -

I wouldn't say that, after all Finlay is still around. I'd say it's more accurate that you have one BIG reason not to watch Smackdown now. -

Testosterone IS a bodybuilding steroid. It just happens to also be used for other things. If Benoit was truly taking it because of hormone deficiencies, that suggests that he'd heavily abused steroids in the past. And the ridiculous levels of it found in his system and the ludicrous amounts the doctor was prescribing him pretty much rule out the "legit medical treatment" theory. I don't think Benoit went all Roidy Ragey and killed because of it. But I do think he was definitely an obvious, proven steroid user, and to claim otherwise is just as bad as the conclusion-jumpers who say it was all steroids' fault. -

So what if she was? "Fuckin' drunk bitch. NOW I TIE YOU UP AND STRANGLE." And the ME said it was his opinion that it all came from decomposition. -

No, they don't. Either that or they think all their fans have the same attention span as the guy from Memento and just won't remember. -

Yeah, they did go into it. Were you even watching? The guy said that they were pretty sure the alcohol was a natural side-effect of Nancy's body already rotting for days before they could examine it. -

I'd say Rey's godawful physical condition would leave him far more likely to lose a fight than his size would. Guys, get over the conditioning that the WWE and schoolyard bullies have brainwashed you with. In a real fight, size doesn't matter that much. I keep using it as an example, but it's a good one, look how Royce Graice beat all those guys who were almost all bigger than him, some MUCH bigger, in the first several UFC ppvs. A guy with skill, smarts, speed, physical conditioning, and other similar attritubes will beat some guy who's just big and strong every time. -

Um... those two are contradictory. Especially since Edge was the most muscular of all the participants in the old TLC affairs. -
Why was their heavyweight champ Morishima not even on the second show, anyway?

There's not going to be any unification, not anytime soon. Inoki and New Japan are NOT getting along with each other. -

Um... go announce your garbage fed? Sounds kinda the same, calm down gentlemen. (Khali sucks.) Yeah. Me. They dangle Kane as a #1 contender on a yearly basis, but for some reason never put the belt on him. Yeah, Edge gets hurt a lot. What do you expect from a guy who specialized for years in falling off ladders? -

A few talking point: 1. Steroids aren't some homogenous chemical that just come in a brown bag with "STEROIDS" on the cover and instantly turn you into Chris Masters. There are many different kinds: testosterone, dianabol, winstrol, etc etc etc. There are all different kinds of mixtures, and different people's bodies react to them differently. Just because a person isn't very muscular doesn't mean that they don't roid. All kinds of random non-bodybuilders from New Jack to Tammy Sytch have done steroids without a single fan ever suspecting it. 2. Small guys have never been pushed as champions. Rey, like dude said, world's luckiest midget. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart did indeed draw low numbers... during the WWE's overall lowest-drawing period when even guys like Savage were drawing flies. And they drew BETTER than when big man Kevin Nash was pushed instead. And during the very short period that Benoit and Eddie were on top, the WWE was doing better financially than the previous year when Goldberg, HHH, and Brock were the top guys. 3. Look at who Vince pushes as legit champs: guys like Cena and Austin are the smallest out of the group. Much more common are the big monsters like Batista, Lashley, and so on.
