The AIM Away Messages of a Bi-Polar

The AIM Away Messages of a Bi-Polar

So, what, you don't think manic-depression exists as a mental illness? As someone who's been "lucky" enough to date at least two bipolar chicks, I must respectfully disagree.

For those that held up on Kill Bill....

I haven't heard about anything else. And truthfully, by the MPAA's rules, all they'd have to do for an NC17 is just restore the color to that one bit. There wouldn't have to be one more second of actual violence in the picture. Yes, it's a very stupid rule. What was the rule anyway? I assume there was too much blood in that scene, but how much is considered too much? It's not an actual "rule" per se, but for some reason the MPAA thinks violence in black-&-white is has less chance of corrupting minors than colorized violence. Scorsese once pulled the same trick; go look at the end shootout in Taxi Driver. Notice how the color is much less bright there than in the rest of the film? The MPAA threatening to slap him with an X is why. The MPAA's rating process is infamously arbitrary and subjective, based on a thousand little unspoken rules that they refuse to share with the public (or the filmmakers). They're also biased towards some companies and against others, which is how stuff like Grindhouse got the exact same rating as any movie that uses the word "fuck", just once, in a sexual context. If your movie gets an NC-17, they won't tell you what you need to cut to make it an R, because "that'd be censorship". Instead, you have to make a completely blind guess about what offended them, re-edit, and send it back again and pray for the best.

    American Gangster

Coming soon, American Gangster, directed by a Brit and starring an Aussie. (Not hating on it sight unseen, just think the irony's funny.)
  5. Yes, because she was totally capable of strangling herself with a TV cable while her wrists and ankles are tied together with duct tape. Because saying people would think she was a KID killer would imply that she killed herself and chris too. Or I could have been saying saying that since the TOD in her and Daniel were so close and could be so easily be wrong, that the possibility of her killing the kid and Chris killing her would be brought up. I am sorry. Next time I will break it down further for the slower people out there. But they're not close. The examiners said that Daniel died about twelve hours after she did. That's way past the margin of error in those tests. There's no question whatsoever that Benoit killed her, and then killed him. Nash looked and sounded really good on the show... though it is a bit of a stretch to think that someone who spent the better part of two decades around Scott Steiner never once saw a case of roid rage.
  6. Your negativity should be used elsewhere. Why do you even grace the WWE folder with your presence when all of your posts are negative? I take my negativity with me everywhere I go. Besides, the WWE is mostly a cartoon/circus, run by a scumbag, which sometimes seems like they're actively trying to alienate their own fanbase with the dumbest, most offensive storylines and pushing the guys who can't fucking wrestle as the top unbeatable supermen. Yeah, sometimes we'll get Matt vs. Finlay or something similar, but other nights go by where there's barely a single watchable match. I can already hear your response, "Why do you watch it then?" Because I watch ALL wrestling, every week. I'm addicted to it. WWE, TNA, lucha, plus whatever I drag out of my massive pile o' wrestling tapes to watch this week. On every show I can usually find something that I enjoyed, even if I had to suffer through one hundred and nineteen minutes of pure bullshit to get to it. When the WWE is on, in the zone, have their shit together, etc, they can put on some of the best wrestling in the world. But 90% of the time, the best I can say for them is "Well, at least it ain't Impact".

Ads in Games? Good or Bad?

I would therefore be happy if questions # 6, 7, 9, and 11 would actually work and give me a way to answer them. I see nothing but a blank space underneath 'em. But in general, yeah, ads in games are BAD things. Not as bad as commercials before movies in theaters, but pretty damned bad.

    Bush looks after his friends

Depends on how you count things as "better". If it's in terms of money and luxuries, America wins over everyone, we've got bigger stinkin' piles of money than everyone else in the world put together. In terms of being able to actually have a say in what your government is doing... uh... still working on that one.
  9. It ain't that. It's what might turn up that we DIDN'T expect... kinda like this whole sad case.

    Jena school case

That'd be like me being indifferent or okay with cancer. Nothing I can do about it outside myself, it's a fact of life that ain't going away. It's not the only one. Forget this story; even if the school and court are overly harsh, it's still a gang of dudes beating down one guy, they shouldn't be surprised when their asses land in prison. Go check out THIS obscenity for some real quality moral outrage based on government-endorsed racism.

    Bush looks after his friends

Jesus christ, except for the very wealthy, the average middle class American has things better than, oh, the entire rest of the world. O'Reilly: "It's Nancy's fault that Benoit killed her. But I'm not blaming the victim!" You just DID advocate it, dude, read your own post. "I thought V for Vendetta was soooo cooool!" Do I think the two-party system that stifles new ideas and the cronyism of the old boys' club on top are generally bad things? Absolutely. Do I think that we need violence to solve them? Hell no. CHANGE the law, don't DESTROY the law.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007

He was a manager til recently, people still see him that way, wait til he gets some more singles losses under his belt til you reclassify him as such.
  13. Actually, it'd be easier than cutting out Jesse's commentaries. All they have to do is simply cut out every match, promo, and segment that involves Benoit. Looks like they've already started doing this, from what people with 24/7 have told me, he's already been edited off their broadcasts of Wrestlemania 23 and Monday Nitro from the latest update.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007

Well, aside from Funaki, he is the only complete jobber who actually pulled some votes.
  16. Xanax isn't anti-depression, it's anti-anxiety. (And I've known a couple people who got REALLY emotionally fucked up on that particular drug.) As for the "should they erase Benoit from 24/7" argument, here's a post from me on another board three days ago where I explain why they HAVE to, at least in the short term:
  17. Jingus

    Let's talk about John Cena.

But they'll use different moves, dammit! Not just punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH for-goddamn-ever, and maybe throw in a verticle suplay if we're lucky. I didn't like it when Hogan did it, I didn't like it when Bruno did it, I didn't like it when Bret got lazy and did it, I didn't like it when Austin and Rock did it, and I sure as hell don't like it when Cena does it. Yeah, they make the crowd pop. So do gay-bashing jokes. I couldn't give a fuck less.
  18. Don't get your hopes up. Please review the epicly, incredibly spectacularly bad show that was last year's SS, complete with an entire night of the worst finishes they could've possibly come up with. Seriously, if I were TRYING to piss off my audience and kill the town, I couldn't have done a better job than that worthless ppv last year.

The Best Chris Benoit Video EVER

No, the speak-n-spell computer voices were the best part. "Oh shit. Fuck."

    Bush looks after his friends

Well, the majority of voters could, y'know, vote for someone not like Bush. (The majority DID in 2000, but that's a different issue altogether.)

    Jena school case

Jesus, pretentious much? Taken a vacation down into the Falklands anytime recently? Had a friendly drink in Northern Ireland at a Catholic pub? Exactly. Subtle, hidden racism is common, but legal institutionalized racism like this is almost unheard-of in the 21st century. That's why cases like this receive so much media attention.
  22. Jingus

    Let's talk about John Cena.

He changes up the formula for the big matches on PPV, sure. (Though I would argue that his Mania match against HHH was about as plodding and generic as you can get.) But on your average Raw? When does he ever do anything different? Comes out to the ring, beats on the heel, heel cuts him off, beats on him for a minute, Cena hulks up, hits the 5 Knuckle Airball, heel cuts him back off, heel tries to hit his finisher, Cena gets an FU outta nowhere, crappily applied STFU, tappity tap tap. It rarely changes, and it bores me to fuckin' death every single time.
  23. It's the WWf'nE. It doesn't matter if Corvon or Burke interfere or not. This company has a black belt in disappointing the audience's expectations.

    Veg*n-ism.

I tried the veggie lyfestyle... briefly. Salads, tofu, fruit baskets, veggieburgers, homemade carrot juice, all that crap. I think it took me about a week before I ran screaming into a Mcdonalds.
  25. There's a hell of a lot more shows than that which featured Benoit in the main. Remember Fully Loaded and Unforgiven 2000?
