AM Raw is indeed some good stuff. They usually do a really good job of cutting out the useless crap and showcasing the strong points. Plus, I usually miss Smackdown and don't get to check the internet all weekend, so the little CNN text crawl thingie is actually informative to me. The perfect thing for a wrestling fan who's still awake after a long Friday night.

The real problem is, when's the last time Steiner put on a good match? And by "good" I mean "makes me want to pay to see this match", not "man, considering that it was Steiner and Test that match didn't suck as bad as I feared it would". Another factor is this: AJ is... kinda spoiled. He's used to wrestling top-quality opponents, and doesn't have much experience in carrying guys who have no business being in a wrestling ring. Minus a suplex or two, a Steiner/Styles match would look a lot like that match AJ had with Dusty Rhodes a couple years back.

I just think it's dumb to arbitrarily pick a name from some other culture, or, even worse, make one up out of thin air. Maybe I'm just being old-fashioned, but people who insist on weird names for their kids come off as being really pretentious and full of themselves to me.

No one who doesn't want that kid to get the shit beaten out of them on the playground and have people make fun of their name for the rest of their life.

If Katie Holmes appeared in my bedroom naked and begging me to fuck her, I'd beat her to death in the mere hope of scoring brownie points with Mimi, Nicole, or Penelope. And oh yeah, forgot, also saw the Noble/Spanky/Nigel vs. Joe/Danielson/Vordell match from the Trios Tournament, which was fun, but definitely went too long and looked like the guys forgot half the stuff they called.

Has nobody else here seen Nashville, Short Cuts, Gosford Park, or any of the other various Robert Altman movies where he invented the whole "20 main characters" gimmick that Crash blatantly rips off? My original post was just pointing out that, despite how some people act, everyone who currently lives in America is descended from immigrants. Well... except for black people... their ancestors weren't exactly moving to a new land full of promise and opprotunity. I would certainly hope so. The key words there are "third generation". If someone lived in this country for their entire life but somehow their kids never learned English, I would wonder just what the fuck the problem was. I was mandated to take two years of foreign language in high school. Same thing in college.

I've only seen two of Gibson's ROH matches: 2/26 vs. Puma and 5/13 vs. Austin Aries. The match with Aries was awesome, featuring great spots and compelling psychology. The one with Puma made me fall asleep. Not a "witty" burn on the match, I mean it literally, I fell asleep watching that match. I watched it again later, and came to the conclusion that I was right the first time.

For all the internet hype, Serenity actually lost money during its theatrical run. It had a budget of 40 million, but only took in 25 million in domestic gross. It probably made the rest of its money back in foreign and DVD income, but still, it wasn't a hit.

Maybe, but it didn't happen that way, and speculating about anything else is worthless fantasy booking.

TNA cares exactly nothing about the history of the NWA title. How many times have former NWA world champs Dan Severn, Gary Steel, Shinya Hashimoto (rip), or Mike Rapada been booked at TNA?
