Honestly? . . . You're gonna think I'm just doing it to spite you guys, but I'm not. Cemetary Man And how the hell did Night of the Living Dead not make it into the finals? I call shenanigans.

Saw the flick. I'm with Downhome and Andrew, it was crap. I think I might be the only guy in the world who liked House of 1000 Corpses but hated the sequel.

Most of the bad "director's cuts" tend to be because of one really horrible scene that was better left on the cutting room floor. The endless scene at the French plantation in Apocalypse Now Redux is probably the best example of that. Blade Runner is actually the reverse from most director's cuts, as the theatrical version had extra stuff added to it (Deckard's godawful voiceover narration and the "happy" ending) rather than extra footage cut out. The weirdest directors' cuts I've ever seen? The Alien movies in the Quadrilogy series box set. All of them have alternate versions that aren't necessarily superior to the theatrical ones, but just different, like meddling for meddling's sake with the originals.

Well, I would've put it in the other thread but it's closed, sorry. I even apologized right at the beginning of it. Ullman and Seaberg were nice and everything, but in my opinion they weren't the hottest European actresses of their generations, compared to the Bridgette Bardots and Isabelle Adjanis of the world. Better actresses maybe, but not sexier.

A generally not-terribly-competent guy who hangs around a rock star and gets paid to in theory "contribute ideas" but in reality just stand around and interfere? Bass Player.

Man, I hate to interrupt a discussion on the single greatest person to ever come out of Sweden, but the other thread on this topic got closed, and I haven't had my say yet, so I'm doing it here. Adam/Frigid Soul/Failed Mascot: I noticed in the other thread, there was one person who was mysteriously absent from all your flaming towards various Pit members: me. You know, the one who owns the board. The one who founded it. The one who always has to clean up the mess whenever the shit hits the fan like this. The one who gave you your powers in the first place. Yet you strangely didn't even mention me at all. I'm not sure why. So let me fix that and make damn sure that you notice me now. Fuck you, Adam. You utter bitch. You whining, immature cunt. "OMG ALina blocked me waaaaaaaaah, I SHALL HAVE MY REVENGE ON YOU ALL LOL!!!" Alina blocked you? Tough shit, pal. Firstly, she's blocked damn near everyone. Secondly, I like the girl quite a bit, but "stable" would not be the first word I'd use to describe her. She blocked you? Tough shit. Get over it. Don't go fucking things up for a bunch of people who are completely unconnected. And furthermore, where the hell do you, of ALL people, get off complaining about someone blocking you on AIM? You, who's blocked so many people that it would be a contest to see which one of you has blocked more? You, who often hides under his own anonymous secondary AIM screenname (which, btw, is "LurkingAdam", whoops!) because he's so lost in his own antisocial feelings that he for some reason wants to stay online yet hide from all the other people online? That's the pot calling the kettle a fucking n*gger, my friend. Oh, and "I only deleted the stuff I worked on in the first place"? Weakass fucking excuse from a weakass fucking punk. How many, MANY times have I thanked you endlessly for all the work you did? Even after you got sand in your pussy and ran away from the board like a crying little schoolgirl, abandoning the job you'd promised to do, I STILL never said one goddamned bad word about you. The most harsh thing I ever said was "I wasn't happy that he left, but he did a shitload of stuff for me and I hope the guy's okay". Well, that's changed now, bitch. Forget about Chris Coey, or the Hosted-Forum jerkoffs, or anyone else, I've never been as disgusted at another human being online as I am at you now. How many times did I go to bat for you? How many times did I stand between other people and you, taking the heat? Remember when you fired Slapnuts/MJ Styles from being a mod? Oh wait, you didn't fire him, you made ME go fire him because you were too much of a fucking pussy to do it yourself. And in hindsight, the reason for which you did so, "he's too impulsive and changes stuff too much without asking", if just fucking pathetic, considering all the damage you did yesterday. And what makes it worse is that Slappy also went to bat for you on many occasions, in fact was the one who convinced me to bring you onboard in the first place, was the one who brought you back despite everyone else's opinion to the contrary the first time you bitched out and ran away, and yet this is how you repay him. Jesus. I'm shaking my head in fucking disbelief. So, in conclusion, fuck you Adam. Don't come back to the Pit, ever. If you see me online, don't talk to me. I don't even want to know you exist. I used to consider you a friend, but you're dead to me now.

Why are their shirts so long? Uh... to cover up the guns they got stuck in their belts? Yeah, I got nothing.

So he's sixteen, smokes pot, gets laid by graduate-school-age chicks, and is gainfully employed... ...well, all in all, good job.

I care more about Strummer's mom than Pamela Anderson. That's a sad story indeed bro, sorry for your loss.

Since when does anything ever "end" in our little e-community here?

Shadowrun... as a first-person-shooter-role-playing-game... on the X-Box2? FUCKING A.

Must... resist... urge... to stab... in the face... GodDAMNIT some people have all the luck. So it rules, yea?

Tough decision indeed, but.... Night Of The Living Dead

....and holy shit God must be in a great mood today, cuz I've been informed that The one and motherfucking only Thread Killer just paid for a license. You could knock me over with a feather. Okay everyone, party's back on!

Long story short, ever wonder why TSM had to pay for this shiny new software while we didn't? Yep, that's why. So either I gotta do some quick fundraising ($70 for a one-year license, $185 for a permanent one) or we just sit around and wait til Josh has enough spare time to convert the database over to new software, whenever that is.

Two words: Bionic Commando. And Splatterhouse would be cool too.

Like others have already pointed out, that was the Curb Stomp. It was invented (as far as I know) by indy wrestler Super Dragon. I find it amusing and comforting that, despite it being the year 2005, the company WWE, and the character Simon Dean, Nova still somehow finds a way to steal other guys "innovative" moves as his own.

A thread of insignificance: AIM away messages
Jingus replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
Nothing to add here, but, Hood, whoever you are, that's the coolest sig picture I've seen in a long time. -
I don't click these things. Why do you post the links here without saying what it links to?

And none of you know shit about wrestling cuz you've never been in the ring.

Jarrett's wrestled everyone from Terry Funk to Vader, I doubt that Joe can do anything to him he hasn't experienced before.
-
He eventually regained the use of his legs, according to Foley's version in Have A Nice Day, but I'm pretty sure his career was over. They used to call the old WCW house shows "Vader's Roadkill Spree" from his tendency to murderdeathkill whatever poor jobber he was facing.

Out of every place I've ever been, I still love my home state of Tennessee the most, so I'd probably get me a bigass mansion (an exact recreation of the one in the first Resident Evil game, minus the monsters and lethal traps of course) way up near the top of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga or somewhere similar.

Almost all of UPW's dvds are average indy shows with really, REALLY godawful production. They look and sound so fucking terrible that I can't believe that anyone would actually sell these discs in a retail store. Bad footage quality, bad lighting, bad camerawork, bad camera placement, bad editing, bad crowd/ring sound, bad commentary sound, bad everything. My old federation's home-brewed DVDRs that my boss made on his home PC look and sound a hundred times better than this.

Guantanamo Bay “has become the gulag of our time"
Jingus replied to cbacon's topic in Current Events
All that stuff is a far cry from being torture though. Inappropriate? Sure. Needs to stop? Most of it, yeah. But torture is wiring a dude's nuts up to a car battery, not having a woman massage your back.
