CWM, why are you being rude to me now? When have I ever done anything wrong to you? When have I ever been anything but a friend? -

And everybody's missing my point. I hated Mike a lot of the time. Go find that thread where we were arguing over cause and effect for chrissakes, and tell me that I obviously wasn't damn near having a stroke over how stubborn he was. But to ban people simply because you didn't like the way they posted was wrong. For that matter: banning people permanently with no second chances is wrong, period. I've always felt that way, but kept my peace until now. Can you guys seriously say that Mike was just as bad as people like The Brain or xkillergonnahitemup, people who went out of their way to be offensive and mischevious just because it amused them? At least Mike really believed what he was screaming at you. -

And replying with jokes helps your cases how? Seriously, this is fucked up. There have been just too many people who shouldn't have been banned. The mods are acting like French revolutionaries who grabbed anyone they vaguely disagreed with and dragged them to the guillotine. Or, YES, like Hitler for trying to exterminate an entire race just because he didn't like them thar Jews. I know that last paragraph was filled with hyperbole and ridiculous similes, but our current banning policy has the feeling of people going on a power trip and getting rid of the posters they just plain didn't like. IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT THEY'RE SAYING, KEEP SCROLLING AND DON'T READ IT. -

So, Mike was essentially banned because... why exactly? Oh, because people disagreed with his opinions and had their feelings hurt when he called them naughty names. You COULD try ignoring him. Maybe the staggering amount of energy it takes to press the "page down" key was just too much for you to waste, I dunno. Banning people for "derailing threads" is the internet equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and singing "LA LA LA LA LA" when confronted with a bad conversationalist. And then shooting them in the head and burying their body out in the swamp so the EVIL person will never again trouble your fragile little life. In other words, grow up, you fucking crybabies. Permanently banning loyal posters over petty little shit like this will eventually ruin this board. -
I really, really like this idea.

This is bullshit. When did this board become so ban-happy? How was Mike hurting the site? If you didn't like his arguments, guess what, you can just ignore him. We've gotten way too fucking strict on the rules here, and it's starting to look like popularity and mod favoritism is playing far too strong a role in who gets punished and who gets away with it. Some people need to grow some thicker skin in response to some of this so-called "trolling" and "flaming". Too many posters have been banned who in my opinion either didn't call for it or who deserve a second chance. I'm not kidding, this is seriously messing with my enjoyment of this board. -

WHY exactly was he banned? Watch all activity in CE drop by half now. What's Dr.Tom's take on this? -
Oh yeah, I know gold when I see it. "Hi. I'm Larry. This is my brother Darryl. This is my other brother Darryl."

For my own personal entertainment, sport=competition, and competition=violence. Therefore: American football > soccer I'm an American. Whaddya expect? ::cocks Colt .45::

Anyone else getting a Last Samurai kinda vibe here?

Gimmick-stealing motherfucker. A crazy but entertaining local worker by the name of Hot Rodd Biggs has a long, pantented schpiel that includes the phrase "chaotic, neurotic, and CERTIFIABLY psychotic!" which he's been saying for at least six years now.

At least in American football they hit each other really hard. Not as hard as in rugby, true, but we Yanks gotta take what we can get.

The Gamecube is so tiny and light that I doubt it'd make a real difference. In theory it could over time weigh down on the machine under it and warp the structure a bit, but I don't think there's any real danger.

Isn't every town? That pretty much sums up Nashville too. -
Well, considering I've actually wrestled, I'm most like me, you sad smarky voyeuristic motherfuckers. Well, actually I'm kinda like Austin Aries, only out of shape and without the dropkicks.

No, seriously, the what? Assuming it's a soccer reference, sorry, us Americans couldn't give a shit less about the crappier of two sports which share the name "football", no matter how much the rest of the world cums in their pants at the mere screaming of the word "Gooooooooal!".

Tori is indeed the queen of creep. Her cover of "97 Bonnie & Clyde" is just wrong. Nick Cave is pretty friggin weird on his Murder Ballads type stuff too, cuz I can never quite tell when he's being disturbing for satirical effect or if he really is just that much of a sick motherfucker.

That's what I figured, but it would be fun to play some of the hacked new versions too. Too bad there's nothing that tells me which ones will provide hours of entertainment and which ones will reduce my computer to a smoking pile of plastic. Thanks for the offer, but my aforementioned ancient virus-ridden Mac is tempermental at best in terms of downloading stuff correctly, and I've never gotten file sharing programs to work right on it.

Eh, to me sci-fi is a pretty broad category, and it overlaps with other genres like fantasy and horror. Technically, any story that is placed in a futuristic setting or that has technological or supernatural elements which would make it impossible for such a story to take place in our contemporary reality would qualify as "sci-fi".

If he does end up in TNA, it would be a bad idea to have Matt as a singles competitor for any big length of time. The Hardyz are a MUCH bigger draw as a team than individually.

Thanks for the help. I visited emuasylum, and after waiting nearly half an hour for the various pages to load, I was confronted by a list of like 50 different versions of every Final Fantasy game... with no documentation to tell you what the differences are. Yikes. I'll go back and wade through it again when I have more time.

I don't see why the government would withhold funds like that. If the school doesn't want the military to hang around on campus handing out flyers and pestering students, so what? Lots of schools have lots of weird rules about what you can and can't do on their grounds. At my college, they didn't allow us to have members of the opposite sex in our dorm rooms after midnight. But there is no good Constitutional basis for fighting the law. 1st or 14th amendments? Hell, you might as well throw the one about quartering troops on top for all the good it'd do.

Dames. Short curly hair, vaguely noncaucasion race, used to be the #1 star of the board but hardly ever shows up now, everyone wishes that he'd come back.
