In this case, any more than just one means that there were hidden secrets that the general public never discovered about a major political assassination, which by definition would be a real live conspiracy.

Awesomeness, thanks. Now then, where to go for a good list of ROMs? The old OAO Emulator thread has been unpinned and inactive, and most of the links are probably broken anyway, and I've always sucked at finding decent ROMs with a search engine. Blargh, I'm helpless. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT PLEEZ CHANGE MY DIAPER K THANX.

Outlandish Things you'll probably never see

What about Al Wilson and Paul Bearer? Not exactly serious storylines, but still, they were bumped off. Also they've come pretty close a few times with stuff like the Suicidal Hawk angle and the Austin/Pillman Gunfight skit. -
So... we just kinda quietly tolerate some PBPs but actively persecute others? Man, we're a lot like Hitler.

Wish I could. But I never found any emulator other than MAME that worked on my poor ancient virus-ridden Mac.

You gotta be shitting me. Better than "2001"? Better than "Star Wars"? Better than "E.T."? Better than "A Clockwork Orange"? Ridicules. Well, here's where individual preference comes into play, cuz I did like Eternal Sunshine more than any of those movies.

Let's compromise: Willow and Ilyria were both damn hot because the actresses who played them were both damn hot, and after the hints that were dropped in "Orpheus" Whedon truly robbed us all by never having them do a lesbian sex scene together.

We should throw a Cheer Up Inc party. Me, IDRM, Ripper, and Kotz are all within driving distance, I'm sure there's others.

Bling It On: a trap to catch stupid people
Jingus replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in No Holds Barred
Fuck that, I miss the 90s. The movies and video games were cooler and the people who had been pointing nuclear missles at us were now our friends. -
The only big conspiracy theory I even maintain the notion might have something to it is the Kennedy assassination, because of all the weird contradictions about just what exactly happened in Dallas on that day. But it still is possible that Oswald acted alone, I never just assume that there WERE shooters on the grassy knoll.

People who don't shut the fuck up during movies

I managed to watch all three Star Wars flicks in a row in the theater. It helped that I spent half the time making out with my then-girlfriend who somehow hadn't seen any of them before, plus we took a dinner break between Empire and Jedi. -
I had a story idea once about the only guy who survived the apocalypse, and he became obsessed with leaving behind a record of his existance that would survive until aliens visited the planets or humans evolved from lower animals again. Never did anything with it, but still think it could've been something.

So, to sum up: 1. Lee is a fucktard for screwing the artists. 2. Marvel is still a fucktard for not paying the man what they legally owed him. 3. The American civil court system occasionally makes the right decisions. 4. DC was a fucktard for screwing over its artists. 5. The centuries-old cycle of greedy suits screwing artists continues. Right?

Damn, I need to get a job. So many RPGs that I never got to play. And yet I wasted hours of my life playing crap like FF: Mystic Quest and Secret of Evermore. Sigh.

I've only read the Ender books, but I have read all of them, and I still think the first one was easily the best in the series. As for the rest, it kinda felt like he used up all his best ideas in the original book. Speaker for the Dead was pretty good, but Xenocide and Children of the Mind were really just Speaker: Part 2 & 3, and the whole Shadow series was a weak attempt to regain former glory in my opinion. We already knew how that whole story basically turned out, and a lot of it just felt like flat Tom Clancy wannabe political/war thrillers. Where did he ever say that? If he did, he's a liar one way or another. In a book he wrote about writing fiction, he said that Speaker for the Dead was a completely different story that he only realized when he was already outlining it that the lead character needed to be Ender.

She also didn't join in the battle afterwards or help out the rest of the Scoobies in any way after that, so I assumed the spell drained her batteries.

I think the most obvious difference here is that drinking too much alcohol can poison you to death. Smoking too much weed just leads to falling asleep. Also, as someone who's unfortunately done both, driving drunk is a LOT harder than driving stoned. Alcohol impairs your judgement, coordination, vision, reaction time, and fine motor skills much more than THC.

Aw, suckage extremis. Losing a building always blows.

So basically Roselli is the new Buff Bagwell?

I once dissected an Illuminati conspiracy post too, cic. I'm too lazy to hunt down the links.

Mike, don't rip this kid apart, the poor dumb sonufabitch just don't know no better.

Horrible movies? Come on, parts II, IV, and VI were all worth watching. The Next Generation did some damn fine work of its own, too. Card is just a bitter old man.

In general: marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol, and is mostly harmless with the same side effects that smoking cigarettes have. The "moral" crusade is the only thing stopping it from being legalized.
