That's my house, asshole. You have broken MermanVoyeur copywrights. You must register and give me your credit card number to become a Gold Member so that you may legally view these images. That does look really cool.

One book that lots of people have forgotten about these days is Lou Thesz's autobiography, Hooker. (Yeah, I know the jokes that immedietely come to mind. But back in the day, the term "hooker" meant "badass shooter".) While it is pretty biased towards Lou's version of events, it's still like a history of what professional wrestling was like a hundred years ago, and how it got to be the way it is now. Should be required reading for every single person who wants to be in the wrestling business. As for the worst? There are plenty of crappy wrestling books out there. The most common offenders are lame "autobiographies": Chyna, Rock, Goldberg, and so on.

Yeah, but what about calling Slayer a fag? Somewhere, Loss is crying.

It must be a problem on your end, everything's working fine for me. Check your cookie settings to see if anything's wacko, that causes half the problems on this board.

All old games 3 for $15 at GameCrazy starting 4/28

Depends on how many people you're talking about on each team. Also, which side gets crossover people like Spike and faith? Also, what about the various slayers who got their powers in Chosen? Also, what about specialty cases like Oz, who are basically normal people but get super-powered when they turn evil? Crossovers aside, the top 5 badass powerful fighters on either side would probably rank something like this: Scoobies 1. Buffy 2. Willow 3. Demon Anya 4. Riley 5. uh... Wood? Xander? Giles? Pretty much all we've got left are jobbers. Team Angel 1. Ilyria 2. Angel 3. Connor 4. Gunn 5. Wes Looking at that list, I'd say Team Angel would easily wipe out the Scoobies. The only was Buffy could win is if Willow did some hyper death armageddon magic or if they got to have both Spike and Faith.

Five Year Old girl punched her teacher
Jingus replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Current Events
Maybe they were trying to make a point to the girl about just how seriously wrong her behavior was. I could sorta see that argument. But still, handcuffing a 5-year-old girl is a pretty fucked up thing to do. -

Do they have a website or list of store locations so I could find the one closest to me? -
The Current Events folder. It's a lot like Hitler.

That's been an unofficial internet debating rule for years: the first person to bring up the Nazis loses. -
Welcome to my world. Pull up one of the old me vs. Jubuki threads in Puro to see what I mean.

Are you guys kidding me? The WWE folder has been one giant seething cauldron of HHHate ever since it was first created. It's always been the exact same as it is now.

On the other hand, the good experiences can really light a fire under your ass, philosophically speaking. I recently tripped, brainstormed, and ended up writing this:
-
I've had both awesome experiences and negative ones. Unfortunately, the negative ones do tend to occur when I do a WHOLE lot of the shit, so I've been afraid to try for that semi-mythic 4th stage. Lying in bed wide awake until the sun comes up with a crippling headache and an awful feeling of mental incoherency that just never fucking goes away ain't fun.

I don't agree with a lot of Keith's ratings. (Five stars for a TLC spotfest? come on), but it is handy to be familiar with a fairly consistent recapper like Keith because, once you know their particular tendencies and biases, it becomes pretty easy to look at their review of a match and figure out whether you'll like it or not based on how closely you historically agree with that reviewer's ratings. Like, I don't always agree with Roger Ebert's reviews, but I can read them and usually tell if I want to see that movie or not.

Heh. Dan Morrow is one of my best friends, I wonder how he'll react when I tell him his match is apparently more important than Honkeytonk Man and Simon Diamond combined.

He was until recently, when he announced that he was now a "freelance" wrestler. Short version: after Giant Baba died, Misawa abandoned AJPW in 2000 and took almost the entire roster with him to form NOAH. Kawada was one of the few guys who remained loyal and stayed at AJPW. Also, Kawada and Misawa have known each other since they were kids and apparently have a lot of unsettled heat over various issues. Therefore, seeing this picture is a very unexpected development indeed.

Hell yeah to the tracks from Andy Hallet and other songs by the actors. As to the whole fight scenes argument: truthfully, the fights have always been one of the most boring parts of both series to me. Due to budgetary limitations, there's simply no way that they could've possibly matched the kind of fight scenes you get in big action movies. Compare any of the fights to anything from, say, a Jet Li movie, and you see how really mundane they were. Only a rare few like Apocalypse Nowish even come close. Much more common is laughably bad stuff like the Giant Snake Mayor battle where the financial limitations almost sunk the whole thing. That being said, I do have a few odd favorites. The first Buffy vs. Ubervamp fight always impressed me, that particular stunt guy was on and it did convey the real brutality of the whole affair as Buffy completely got her ass kicked. For some reason most of the Faith fights were better than just about any other action from the series. Lots of the Caleb brawls were very well done (except for the really anticlimactic last one). And of course the swordfight from Becoming Pt. 2 is a classic.
