Actually, if you want an interesting semi-contemporary account of one of the smaller French revolutions, you could do a lot worse than Victor Hugo's original novel. But get the uncut version, as all the abridged ones tend to just focus on the plot and cut out all his social commentary.

I forget what the 80's NWA title looked like, so it might've been identical to the Big Gold Belt, but the whole BGB thing didn't start until Flair jumped to the WWF in 1991 and wreaked havoc with the NWA/WCW title lineages.

Alright, got my max-strength Tussin, got a couple of horror movies to watch during the experience, I'll report back on whether this shit actually does anything or not.

Count me in as having a cell phone instead of a home phone, too. To solve Ripper's dilemma, anytime I give my number out I also give a disclaimer, saying something like "the reception ALWAYS sucks, so just leave a message if I don't pick up".

I think I'm in some ways luckier than a lot of Whedon fans, since I was so late in the game in discovering Buffy and Angel. Unlike everyone who's been watching these shows for years, I didn't have to wait weeks and weeks (or sometimes months and months) for new episodes; quite the contrary, two weeks worth of watching FX would provide me with a whole season of Buffy. So I got to absorb seven years' worth of TV in just a few months time. On the other hand... I do wish I'd been watching it since the beginning, just to have experienced it all when it was first fresh and new.

Um... okaaaaaay. But this guy was claiming that there's nothing wrong with the Prince of England wearing a Nazi uniform, and went on to blast "the Jewsmedia".
-
No, for the worst posters you have to venture into Current Events. You run into people like Jim Ross, who claim that there's nothing wrong with wearing a Nazi uniform, or INXS, who does such lovely things as hijacking a thread about the tsunami just to bitch about the Iraq war and randomly make fun of disabled people. Then there's my personal favorite, SideFXs, who blatantly lies about the deficit shrinking, refers to the entire world as "hate America fucks" and "commies", randomly goes off on celebrities that he thinks aren't Christian enough, insults various TSM posters' parents, literally says all liberals are mentally ill, thinks the main goal of the American media is to sabotage the American military, implies we shoot execute former CIA employees, thinks the WTC was destroyed by a hidden bomb, rants against "immoral, Godless, mentally ill hippies", said that a vote for Kerry was LITERALLY a vote for Bin Ladin, and insists he knows more about medicine than every doctor who does stem cell research. Man, I just LOVE the CE folder.

In the 90's, actually, and we all saw what a good idea that turned out to be.

French Revolutions (there've been a bunch of them, large and small) are weird little puppies. Usually they start out innocently enough, a bunch of inspired peasants rightfully fighting back against The Man who had oppressed them... but at some point after those peasants gain power, they usually turned into ridiculously violent tyrants themselves, and eventually self-destructed. Even Napoleon fell victim to this trend (a guy as smart as him really should've known better than to invade Russia).

I heard a rumor about her getting caught giving someone a BJ out back of the Nashville Fairgrounds when she was working the indies several years ago, but it's been a while and I can't remember the specifics.

So you're saying they should replace their perfectly good NWA World Heavyweight Title, with its 57-year history, just because its "dated", with some completely new made-up belt? I'm just speechless.

OaO Thread: LucharesuFan619's Random Match Reviews
Jingus replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I've seen both matches on video, so I know they happened. Maybe the other one was at a show they just didn't tape for some reason. You don't have to do a full move-by-move review of all of these, ya know. Especially since half of the 93-minuter is spent lying around on the mat in holds. -
Now THAT'S funny. <david spade> I really liked this movie the first time I saw it... when it was called THE RUNNING MAN. </spade>

Try chugging the entire bottle at once next time, I guess, and maybe have a 2nd bottle onhand just in case the 1st one ain't enough. The stuff does work. I once had a friend get so spaced out while robotripping he started arguing with the ceiling fan.
-
I don't find it any weirder than getting off work for LABOR DAY.
-
Who? And yeah, I was never a big fan of Griff or any of the other NO MA'AM guys, especially when they started dominating every single episode in the later years.
-
Lives out in California last I heard, still comes back to Nashville to visit friends & wrestle a couple times a year. A TNA mid-card belt? They already got it, and it's called the X-Division Championship. (What, you thought Sonny Siaiki, Chris Sabin, and Petey Williams were main-event caliber?) It just happens to be basically a cruiserweight belt. The heavyweight title has always been portrayed as more prestigious and important.

Good for him. I'd still rather watch Fey/Poehler than either one of them. I don't care about Avril's drumming abilities either, I was just trying to prove a logical point.
-
No other song that we know of, anyway. And furthermore, even if she were a world-class drummer, we'd probably never know it: people buy tickets to hear the lead singer SING, not sit down and play drums while someone else does their primary job. Why do you keep harping on the "she played the drums badly in that one song", when no such thing was ever said? The only report on the quality of her drumming was Bob saying this: Which hardly sounds like a stinging repremand on her abilities. Based on one bump? No. But one bump is more like hitting the drums just once. To make this metaphor work, it'd have to go more like this: "Avril wrestled Wrestler#1. The match was really simplistic, Avril wasn't great, but she held her own." Dennis Miller still sucks.

I'm disappointed that the jew-hating little cunt hasn't come back and attempted to defend his post against all of us. It would've proved highly entertaining.

Eh, it might take me a few hours, but I'm pretty confident I could down a 96'er. I regularly eat 1.5 pound burgers at a local place called Fat Mo's, so I think I might be ready. I like the Thickburgers too... or I would, if the local Hardees didn't employ the sorriest bunch of worthless losers I've ever seen in my entire life. Just yesterday, it took them TWENTY MINUTES just to fix me TWO burgers. And it's not like this happened during the lunch hour; in fact, I was the only person in the drive-thru the entire time. And then they got the toppings on both of the burgers wrong (despite the fact that the ticket showed what I ordered correctly) and both of the burgers were overdone, too. It's the kind of place you just want to charge into with a baseball bat and start wreaking havoc.

As I recall, Punk's last week there was also the week he got into the fight with Ted Hart, but they also blew off him and Dinero's feud with Raven that week, so draw your own conclusions.
-
Careful with that. Robitussin has acetamenophin in it, which can fuck with your liver functions sometimes, so don't drink too much.
-
Yeah, they hit her up nice & proper at least three or four times on that one.

EDIT: double post, sorry.
