What happened in the WWF the day you were born?
Jingus replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
No show is specifically listed as being on my birthday (10/11/1979), but this one seems to be the closest as far as I can tell: WWF @ ? - October 1979 Championship Wrestling: Larry Zbyszko defeated Johnny Rodz at 5:36 Bobby Duncum defeated Fred Marzino at 3:45 Swede Hansen defeated Dominic DeNucci via count-out at 6:49 Chief Jay Strongbow defeated Jose Estrada at 3:13 Greg Valentine defeated Mike Masters at 2:43 11/3/79: Ted Dibiase fought Jimmy Valiant to a double count-out at 9:51 Bobby Duncum defeated Ron Lee at 1:12 The Wild Samoans defeated Billy Berger & Johnny Rivera at 4:39 Ken Patera defeated Mike Masters at 2:28 WOW, what a shitty card. When Jimmy fucking Valiant is in what looks like the best match of the night, that's a bad bad sign. I guess it was a TV taping, no other reason why all the matches would be that short. -
This girl has absolutely no idea how to take responsibility for her actions, does she?
-
Capitol Carnage wasn't completely worthless, it at least had Jacqueline's mighty onyx mountains on display for all to see. But all the rest of the cards listed here... yep, Vince is a genius!

No, he means me, dammit! Watch, I'll prove it. "Hello, CanadianChick. Happy birthday. So... wanna fuck?" There. I'm now the first person in history to hit on CC without it being a crime, and maybe the first person in history to hit on an OAOAST mod, ever (just kidding guys, and seriously CC happy birthday).

Everyone I know who has bought and used a regular PS2 has had some kind of problems with it sooner or later. I haven't heard such stories about the slim version. EDIT: but when I thought real hard about it, I only know maybe two people who've bought the slim one, so nevermind, the sample isn't nearly big enough to be statistically significant.

Picnic At Hanging Rock: 9/10 One of those beautiful, haunting, dreamlike movies that they only seemed to get right during the 70s. Slow as hell and a wee bit pretentious, but highly rewarding to a viewer who doesn't mind a challenge.

Hell, why not? They only spent a little over a million bucks a year on this research, which is nothing in the big picture. I for one think that efforts to develop non-lethal (and incredibly funny) weapons like these should continue. After all, it'd be pretty hard for the terrorists of the world to continue their jihad if, in the middle of one of his videotaped speeches, Bin Laden suddenly dropped trou and started assfucking the cameraman.

Read the link in the first post, it's all in there. The $40,000,000 figure will be paid by private donors, but it doesn't include any security expenses, which must be paid by the Washington DC local government to the tune of $17,300,000. Furthermore, the Bush administration has refused to reimburse DC for any of that money, so $11,900,000 is going to have to be diverted from DC's own Homeland Security funds. Firstly, "the media" never mentioned the deficit in this case; Tawren did. Secondly: even if the deficit is shrinking (which I've seen no evidence of whatsoever), it doesn't change the fact that, four years ago, THERE WAS NO DEFICIT. During Bush's administration, America has gone into debt at the rate of almost two trillion (that's with a T as in Tax cuts) dollars per year. Now, one might argue over whose fault this is, but please don't try to claim that our economy is doing just peachy these days. With just one word, "whackos", you've instantly alienated half the people who might be reading this thread, and now they won't listen to any of your further arguments, regardless of how right you may be. 1. Who knew that armor was such an issue until that one soldier bitchslapped Rumsfeld with that now-infamous pop question during the press conference? 2. So Kerry voted against the funding. So? Obviously, he didn't have the support of ALL the liberals in this country or else he would've won the election. Sources? That would be filed under "What If", since none of us know for sure what would've happened if FDR had been healthy. Again, some sources with actual dollar amounts would be nice. And even if all three of 'em did have lavish wartime inauguration parties, that still doesn't make it right. Once again, "What If", since it's all idle speculation because Kerry did not win and nobody can say for sure what would've happened. There sure as hell would've been outrage in the media; that's the media's damn job, bitching about the people in charge of this country. At least Fox would've harped about it if nobody else. And exactly how does one "bet ASS"? The only way someone could be a hypocrit in this situation is if they themselves had spent fifty-seven million, three hundred thousand dollars on their own wartime inauguration party.

Jack Evans Injured at Pro Wrestling War show
Jingus replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
Alright, talked to someone who talked to Jack's family, and apparently he is okay. Probably has a concussion, don't know the extent of any other injuries, but he is moving and coherent from what I've heard. -
I'm an announcer/manager, I don't get beat up THAT much. And I was talking about cold medicine, not pain pills.

TMM, we have both anecdotal and substantiated evidence that she can play at least one song on drums. Meanwhile, nobody has offered any evidence of any kind that she can't play drums. Lacking more complete information, one must assume that, yes, she is a drummer. Oh, and Dennis Miller is the single most overrated cast member in SNL history IMHO.

Top 100 Americans... what, like Ever? That's tough. How do you decide whether Mark Twain or FDR was the greater man? (That's just one example, I'm sure there are thousands of others.)

But by all accounts, nobody but the actual prison guards themselves are guilty of this stuff. Their superiors certainly didn't order them to take naked pictures of the prisoners. And the ringleader of the whole group was just found guilty on 9 out of 10 charges, and will be sentenced soon. How can one lay the blame for this isolated incident on the head of the Commander in Chief?

FUCK. Time to make some phone calls, if I learn anything new I'll post it here. -
I don't think it would make a difference either way in terms of one's tolerance for a specific drug. And I haven't bumped in forever anyway, my fed lost the building we ran out of and haven't found a new one yet.

Drinking listerine in your car isn't a good idea
Jingus replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in General Chat
One would think that all the teeth-cleaning crap in Listerine would be poisonous and thus render it worthless as a beverage. -
How accurate/reliable is the info that Sensei JK posted? Because if it's on the money, it sounded to me like Ashlee never even wanted to be a musician, but had it kinda forced onto her by everyone else. And did anyone ever expect Jessica to be thought of as the SMART one?
-
D'oh. Been too long since I watched my PRIDE tapes, nevermind.
-
How anyone could possibly justify spending $40 mil in ONE DAY on a bunch of useless parties, I have no idea.

Black bars on the top and bottom of your widescreen TV? Have you tried adjusting the aspect ratio?
-
Well, it was the last fight of the night, in a three-round tournament, on the same night that Royce Gracie and Kazushi Sakuraba went almost two hours, so the crowd was probably more than ready to go by then. Going on right after Ken Shamrock couldn't have helped either, considering how popular he used to be in Japan.

I was under the impression that it was a prison for Iraqi civilians who'd committed crimes, that just happened to be staffed by US military personel (probably because the only experienced jailors in Iraq were all Saddam's henchmen).

I watch wrestling every single day... on tape. But I literally can't remember the last time I sat down and watched a full wrestling TV show, since both the WWE and TNA seem irretrievably stuck in the sewers, quality-wise.

"Dag" sounds like some kind of weed reference to me.

Fucking worthless cold medicine. I've taken over 1,000 milligrams of pseudoephedrine today (that's well over a ten times the recommended dosage), and feel nothing more than a slight buzz. EDIT: that's not to say that taking that much is safe for anyone else, I've always had sinus problems my whole life and have built up a hell of a tolerance for this shit.
